Abstract: An abrasive disk assembly is provided for a floor resurfacing machine wherein the floor machine has at least one shaft configured to rotate about an axis substantially orthogonal to a work surface, the abrasive disk assembly including a head assembly of predetermined dimension configured to be coupled to one end of the shaft of the floor machine proximate the work surface, the head assembly including a central portion to be coupled to the shaft and a carrier portion for receiving at least one abrasive pad thereon, the carrier portion including at least one coupler in the form of a hook, a tab, a finger, a flange, and a tab extending from a peripheral edge of the carrier portion. At least one abrasive pad assembly is detachably coupled to one of the central portion and the carrier portion, and includes a first end received over the coupler and an opposite end to be attached to one of the central portion and the carrier portion.

Abstract: A sand belt-tensioning device includes a drive roller, a fixing member, a pulling member, and a resilient member. A sand belt is wound around a roller body of the drive roller. The drive roller has opposite first and second end surfaces that are formed respectively with axially extending first and second rotating shafts. The fixing member is sleeved fixedly on the first rotating shaft, and is connected fixedly to an end of the sand belt. The pulling member is sleeved rotatably on the second rotating shaft, and is connected fixedly to the other end of the sand belt at an eccentric position. The resilient member biases the pulling member to rotate about the second rotating shaft in a direction so as to tauten the sand belt on the drive roller.
Abstract: A rotary drum sander is provided with a horizontal boom orienting a rotatable cylindrical drum to cover the spirally wound strip of abrasive material above a work supporting platen. The abrasive material is affixed to the drum by a first and second anchor, the second anchor is pivotally mounted relative to the drum and rotatably biased by a spring to cause the second anchor to rotate relative to the drum to maintain tension in the abrasive strip as the abrasive strip stretches during use.
Abstract: The invention relates to a polishing drum (1) which is intended particularly for polishing the edge surfaces and outer surfaces of straight and curved workpieces (101) and which carries an abrasive sheet (70) on a center cylinder (2) and is intended to be driven for rotation by a drive means (100). The polishing drum includes an elastic sleeve (60) or cloth which can be tensioned around the cylinder (2) and which forms an underlying supportive surface for the abrasive sheet (70). The center cylinder (2) has an axially extending slot (6) and means (40, 61) for tensioning the elastic sleeve (60) or cloth and the abrasive sheet (70) are provided inwardly of the slot (6).
