Abstract: In one embodiment, a service receives a device registration request sent by an endpoint device, wherein the endpoint device executes an onboarding agent that causes the endpoint device to send the device registration request via a cellular connection to a private access point name (APN) associated with the service. The service verifies that a network address of the endpoint device from which the device registration request was sent is associated with an integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) or international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) indicated by the device registration request. The service identifies a tenant identifier associated with the ICCID or IMEI. The service sends, based on the tenant identifier, a device registration response to the endpoint device via the private APN.

Abstract: An example computer system identifies a capability of a playback device to reproduce audio content. Based on the capability, the computer system identifies a first version of audio content for playback by the playback device and causes the playback device to play back the first version of audio content. While the playback device is playing back the first version of the audio content, the computer system detects a change in a network connection between the computer system and the playback device. Based on the detected change in the network connection and the capability of the playback device, the computer system identifies a second version of audio content for playback by the playback device and causes the playback device to transition from playing back the first version of the audio content to playing back the second version of the audio content.

In other scenarios, cellular service may be transferred from the first cellular communication device operating in independent mode to a third cellular communication device, which may be provisioned to operate in independent mode.

Abstract: A method for configuring a protocol in a virtual private network (VPN) service environment, the method including receiving, from a user device, device information associated with operation of the user device during an established VPN connection; configuring, based at least in part on the device information, a given VPN protocol from among a plurality of VPN protocols for utilization during the established VPN connection; and transmitting, to the user device, information associated with the given VPN protocol to enable the user device and a VPN server to utilize the given VPN protocol during the established VPN connection. In an example implementation, while playing back first audio in a given environment at a given loudness: a playback device (a) detects that an event is anticipated in the given environment, the event involving playback of second audio and (b) determines a loudness of background noise in the given environment, the background noise comprising ambient noise in the given environment. The playback device ducks the first audio in proportion to a difference between the given loudness of the first audio and the determined loudness of the background noise and plays back the ducked first audio concurrently with the second audio.

A processor, responsive to the server receiving updated information from a visitor of the server, notifies the other servers of the updated information.

Abstract: This disclosure involves a using an adaptive component for customizing content delivered to customer devices. For instance, an adaptive component is configured to selectively receive information from a back-end service and present the information based on contexts of shopping experiences on particular devices. A context includes at least one of a device being a particular location or indicating a particular stage of interest in a product or service. The adaptive component includes configured parameters specifying different sets of sales information for different contexts. Different sets of context-specific sales are provided, based on different contexts, for presentation on one or more user devices via the adaptive component.

Abstract: A system and method including a downloadable application which forces to view targeted advertisements on their mobile device in order to gain access to use of the mobile device. The ads appear on a lock screen of the mobile device upon powering up or waking up of the mobile device. The user can take one of several actions with respect to the displayed ad and upon such action screen is unlocked and the user is provided with full function of the mobile device. The user can be incented for each action through the accumulation of points which can be used towards paying the user's phone bill or for receiving another reward.

Abstract: Systems and methods for the creation and management of electronic associations between social media systems and web pages. Such associations promote greater interactions between web page visitors and users of social media pages. A social graph management system (SGMS) receives information related to a web page, and creates associations between the web page and social media pages. A process of creating such associations involves configuration of social media software for insertion into the web page. Furthermore, creating associations also involves creation of an intermediary page (and related data structures) by the SGMS in order to direct traffic between the web page and social media pages. User activity in the web page is tracked in addition to web traffic arriving at the intermediary page at subsequent times for computation of various analytics.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a system and method for deploying and configuring a cyber-security protection solution using a portable storage device. The portable storage device may include a memory storing instructions to be executed by a computing device. When executed, the instructions may cause the computing device to implement a cyber-security protection solution that is configured to scan a second storage device and determine whether the second storage device is usable in a protected environment.

Abstract: A system for interfacing with mobile carrier networks, mobile application-equipped devices, social media networks, and individual and Enterprise user's databases, contacts, pictures, videos, and text is disclosed. A data link is connected to a mobile carrier network to receive user application and other data. Additional data links are connected to a user's stored smartphone content, including contacts, pictures, videos and other stored information as well as databases and an application-equipped device to obtain and exchange information in determining data selection, routing, presentation, and updating instructions. A user interface is connected to the system to accept configurable conditions for determining selection, routing and sharing instructions. There is a data conversion function for each data source. Synchronization between stored user preferences to automated or semi-automated updates and routes is provided by application driven consumer defined preferences.

This identified information for performing the task is then formatted for use by the user.

Abstract: A system and method for omnichannel voice and text-based advertising using voice recognition. The system comprises an application that allows a user who has viewed an advertisement on a non-interactive medium to speak one or more words dictated by the advertisement into the application in order to receive business incentives. A speech recognition engine recognizes the words spoken into the application and matches the words to the relevant advertisement and delivers a text-based incentive to the user. Furthermore, with the potential customer's phone number now available, an omnichannel text-based communicator may now send other advertisements, reminders (such as to use the incentive), and communications to the user of the application.

Abstract: A method of providing an augmented view of a real world scenery and of an occluded subsurface infrastructure. An image is taken by a camera with an image sensor and image reference information comprising a camera position and a camera orientation. From three dimensional information of a subsurface infrastructure, a two dimensional projection on the image sensor is made by using the reference information. A projection position of an anchor element of the subsurface infrastructure being visible on the at least one image is compared with an image position of the anchor element. A difference between the image position and the projection position is compensated for matching and overlaying the two dimensional projection derived from the three dimensional information of the subsurface infrastructure with the at least one image and thereby providing an improved augmented view.

Abstract: A method performed by a computing system comprises accessing group subscription data that is associated with a user and identifies a plurality of different groups, each group being hosted by a corresponding client system. The group subscription data indicates that the user is subscribed to receive resource updates from the plurality of different groups. An aggregated set of resource updates is generated by aggregating resource updates associated with resources in the plurality of different groups. An integrated view renders the aggregated set of resource updates and includes an action user input mechanism representing a computing action to be performed in a corresponding one of the groups associated with at least one resource update. Based on user actuation of the action user input mechanism, a machine instruction instructs the client system, that hosts the corresponding group, to perform the computing action.

The method also includes obtaining or holding available radio map information representing a radio map of a predetermined environment. The method further includes determining, at least partially based on the one or more radio signal parameters and the radio map information, whether the one or more radio signal parameters are expected or unexpected. When a user taps on or otherwise activates the screen recorder user selectable element, the screen recording system removes the foreground focus from the messaging client and causes to commence the recording of the output of the display system shown on the screen of the client device. The screen recording is automatically paused once the screen recording system detects a request to bring the messaging client to the foreground.

Abstract: Methods and techniques are described for limiting a size of LTE Positioning Protocol (LPP) messages in a location session between a user equipment and location server. In one embodiment, a first device sends a first LPP message to a second device, indicating that the first device is capable of receiving segmented LPP messages. Subsequently, the first device receives a plurality of LPP message segments from the second device comprising one or more non-final LPP message segments and a final LPP message segment, where each LPP message segment includes a “non-final” or “final” indication. The first device stores the non-final LPP message segments and processes the LPP message segments after receiving the final LPP message segment. Prior to sending the first LPP message, the first device may receive an LPP message from the second device indicating the second device is capable of sending segmented LPP messages.

Abstract: A presence server in a network can receive capability information about a UE in a publish message, and make that capability information available to other UEs on the network. When the UE later deregisters from the network, the UE can send an unpublish message. The presence server can also filter capability information of one or more target UEs provided to a watcher UE based on a registration status of a target UE, capabilities of the watcher UE, and/or whether a set of target UEs associated with a single user share certain capabilities.

Abstract: A method and system for controlling application of MU-MIMO. The disclosure provides for considering a device's power class as a basis to decide whether to provide the device with MU-MIMO service. For instance, a base station could determine which of the base station's served devices that are threshold distant from the base station are each a high power device rather than a lower power device. And on at least that basis, the base station could select each such device to receive MU-MIMO service. Or faced with a choice between devices to receive MU-MIMO service, the base station could compare the devices' power classes and could select the devices that have higher power class to receive MU-MIMO service.

Abstract: A database search method combines SQL command, complex event processing, and keyword search. Event data records may be collected based on the events specified in a query. A complex event processing analysis is used to determine the records that meet the correct sequence of events. The keyword search is used to filter user data records that have the attributes specified in the query. A SQL command may be used to further analyze or group the data records found. One or more metrics of the filtered results are presented as the result of the query. To run a new query efficiently, user identifiers are distributed using hashes. Adaptive sampling is used to determine whether the search result is within a desired margin of error. An efficient search for a specific condition is performed using a pace computation that jumps into a location of user data records that have the attributes.
