  • Patent number: 10185971
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for analyzing a fused sample of viewership data to determine a behavior profile of online viewers who watched and/or didn't watch certain TV advertisements, where the TV advertisements are aligned with campaign targeting characteristics desired by an advertiser/client working with a demand side platform. Then, a campaign targeting plan is developed for dividing an advertising budget between digital media and TV impressions. The digital media portion of the campaign profiles Media Properties (MPs) contained in a historical database from past digital advertising campaigns across multiple digital formats and screens, and aligns digital ad placement with MPs having desired targeting characteristics. An optimized apportionment is automatically produced between TV and digital media spending based on an advertiser/client's goals of duplicating or not duplicating viewership of an advertisement between TV and digital media, or alternately based on cost alone.

  • Patent number: 10180332
Abstract: A network computer service can receive a service request associated with a first service location. Additionally, the network computer service can detect a user action to associate the service request with a second service location. In some examples, the user input can be detected on a user device. In other examples, the second service location can be different from the first service location. Moreover, the network computer service can determine the second service location satisfies a predetermined permissibility criterion for permitting change of the first service location to the second service location. In response to determining the second service location satisfies the predetermined permissibility criterion, the network computer service can transmit an instruction to cause a device to associate the service request with the second service location in place of the first service location.

Abstract: In a next generation broadcast architecture, a broadcast gateway may send segments of a data file to a broadcast transmission system and to a server. The broadcast transmission system wirelessly transmits the segments to a user equipment (UE) device. When the UE device fails to decode a segment, it sends a request for re-transmission of the segment to the server via an IP network. The server re-transmits the requested segment to the UE device via the IP network. Furthermore, the gateway may receive one or more IP data flows (e.g., video streams) having variable bit rate. The gateway may apply dynamically-variable coding to the IP data flows so that the resulting coded IP data flows have an aggregate bit rate that matches a constant physical transport rate of the broadcast transmission system.

Mobile devices determine the coordinates of their locations during a period of time using a location determination system, such as a global positioning system. A server generates a visitation data set for each residential parcel visited by each mobile device, including different types of frequencies of the mobile device visiting the residential parcel (e.g., night, weekend). A server filters the residential parcels based on visitation frequencies to identify home candidates and then further filters the home candidates based on the count of mobile devices having the home candidates. Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for selecting targeted advertisements based on a user's personal points of reference. The personal points of reference identify user specific locations of interest based at least on geographic locations. In order to determine which advertisements are relevant to a user's personal point of reference, the advertisements served by an advertising server contain metadata appended therein. The ad metadata is correlated with locations, and provides geographical sensitivity to specific locations. Thus, advertisements are matched to points of reference based on geo-location data. When the advertising server is presented with a user's personal point of reference, the ad server compiles the point of reference's geo-location data against the ad metadata, and determines if there is a match. Upon a match being identified, the advertisement associated with the ad metadata is served to the user.

  • Patent number: 9883004
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a viewer-specific visitor history for a location are provided. In particular, a visitor history for a particular viewer and location can indicate a total number of users who have visited the location and can specifically identify one or more of a set of users using a facepile. The set of specifically identified users can be those users that have an associative link with the viewer and that are also associated with at least one location signal for the given location and for which the particular viewer is a permitted viewer. Thus, location signals having varying scopes of visibility information can be aggregated across a plurality of different web-services to provide a single, unified visitor history for a particular location and viewer, all while respecting user-specified visibility information.

  • Patent number: 9867014
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing a meeting notification and automatic modification service. A system may be configured to identify an appointment in a calendar application, identify a geographic location of the appointment, and identify, before the appointment time, a geographic location of a first participant of the appointment. Based on the geographic information, the system may identify a route extending from the geographic location of the first participant to the geographic location of the appointment, and may identify a travel time associated with the route. Based on the travel time and the appointment time, the system may determine whether the first participant is estimated to arrive at the appointment on time and, based on the determination, the system may send a message to participants of the appointment or dynamically reschedule the appointment.

  • Patent number: 9858346
Abstract: An exemplary geographic playlist system includes a plurality of mobile devices with global positioning systems that provide geographic location information of the mobile device to a geographic location playlist device. The geographic location playlist device has a database of geographic playlist information that includes at least a unique identifier for each one of a plurality of media content events and at least one associated geographic location for each of the plurality of media content events. The geographic location playlist device determines a current geographic location of the mobile device, compares the geographic location of the mobile device with the geographic locations residing in the database, and generates user geographic playlist information that includes the identifier of media content events that has an associated geographic location that matches with the determined geographic location of the mobile device. A geographic playlist is then presented to the user of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 9798819
Abstract: The selective aggregation of marker objects on a map is disclosed. A plurality of marker objects is received in response to a query. The marker objects are each defined by a set of coordinates to a specific location on the map. The map is segregated into a plurality of bounding areas each defined by a set of bounding coordinates. A bounding area count of the number of marker objects having coordinates within a first one of the bounding areas is generated. The bounding area count is compared to a predetermined threshold. If the bounding area count is greater, a first aggregate marker is displayed in the first one of the bounding areas of the map. Otherwise, each of the marker objects within the first one of the bounding areas of the map is displayed. The marker objects are positioned according to the set of coordinates associated therewith.
