Abstract: A fence post base featuring a circumferential disc that provides a larger ground coverage area than that of the fence post itself is disclosed. The disc prevents weeds and grass from growing immediately adjacent to the fence post by cutting off sunlight to the relevant area of ground. Since the expanded disc sits at or immediately above the ground, it may be ridden over by a standard lawnmower, allowing the mower's cutting parts to reach all areas of grass and weeds without the need for an edging mower or clipper. The device may be made for a variety of fence posts and may feature a slit to all for the device to expand and contract in extreme temperatures without breaking.

Abstract: A landscape edging system uses a series of holes placed at even intervals vertically and horizontally creating two rows of holes along straight pieces of edging, one row along the top and another along the bottom of the edging. The purpose of these holes is to allow runs of edging to be fastened together which then function as one longer piece. The manufacturing of the edging also includes corner/end pieces, shorter pieces of edging for bracing, and edging stakes. The edging pieces are fastened using any standard type of rivets. The edging system of the present invention can be bent easily into virtually any design or simply used for straight borders.

Abstract: Gardening system includes a raised garden bed, the raised garden bed including a garden box having a soil retaining area for plantings. Garden box includes side walls detachably attached together at adjacent free ends forming a corner. A weed barrier provided which extends between the front, back, left, and right side walls of the garden box, and is located at a lower portion of garden box below the soil-retaining area, and weed barrier extends up the side walls up to the height of the side walls. A sprinkler system with sprinklers is provided and can be coupled to a garden hose. Rods are provided having a length the same as the height of the side walls, for holding the garden box together and so that the garden system can be placed on a non-soil surface, such as a deck or the gardener's roof.

Abstract: An improved landscape edging system is described. The landscape edging system includes an edge piece having a first end and a second end, the edge piece having a substantially vertical wall and a base, the base comprising a first footing at the first end and a second footing at the second end, the first footing being spaced apart from the second footing, the first and second footings having a stake opening, the first end having an inwardly stepped section on the wall and a stepped up section on the base. A method of installing the landscape edging system is also described.

Abstract: A system for providing a barrier and redirecting the growth of grass away from concrete, walkways, patios and material typically found in a landscape. The system is comprised of a single sheet of extruded polyethylene having three members. The main member is inserted orthogonally to the surface of the ground, and has two members extruded away from it as some angle. The anchor member is part of the main member, and is inserted in the ground to provide support for the barrier. The surface member extends at some angle with respect to the main member into one edge of the landscape. The surface member extends into one edge of the material to provide a barrier between different types of landscape.

Abstract: A tree and plant watering system relating to improved transfer of water to trees and plants (both new and existing) is provided. The system comprises soil penetrators, soil anchors, and area extenders to enhance water capacity and to provide ease of water transfer to root systems. Additionally, the system provides plant growth ladders to assist upward plant growth and root apertures to assist root growth.

Abstract: A unique garden-border system, for sealing the soil and water inside a garden bed, for anchoring a garden bed on a slope, and for forming a staircase-like garden bed on a slope, comprises garden-bed strips having staircase-forming openings and swing-preventing teeth stamped therein, gap-eliminating couplers having slanted-stake tunnels and strip recesses molded therein for coupling the garden-bed strips, multi-function locking pins for locking the garden-bed strips to the gap-eliminating couplers at desired angles and elevations, and anti-sliding V-shaped stakes having underground-interlocking anchors molded thereon for being inserted through the slanted-stake tunnels of the gap-eliminating couplers, to form desired shapes and elevations of the unique garden-border system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a barrier for at least partially surrounding a planted area for repelling gastropods such as slugs. The barrier has a wall arrangement and a ledge extending away from the wall arrangement. The ledge has a plurality of downwardly extending elements. The barrier is disposed over ground around a planted area to be protected from gastropods. The wall arrangement and the downwardly extending elements of the ledge are operative to repel gastropods and thereby reduce the likelihood of their reaching the planted area.

Abstract: A garden shelter comprises a housing body and a plurality of fastening portions. The housing body is formed with a first section and a second section from the top down, and whose intersection between the first and second sections is formed with a plurality of fastening portions, wherein a height of the first section is H1, and a height of the second section is H2. One end of each fastening component is disposed with a pressing ring corresponding to the fastening portions while another end is a rod body. The length of the rod body is L, and 0.15 (H1+H2)<L<0.3 (H1+H2). The housing body is mounted on a ground through the fastening components. The rod body must go deep into an effective depth D, and 0.75 L<D<0.99 L. The garden shelter is provided for encapsulating a water faucet or a fire hydrant.

Abstract: A landscaping system and apparatus in which a substantially vertical flexible spine member is associated with a plurality of horizontal platform members and substantially vertical lower boundary members, which in conjunction with a bridge to cover gaps between neighboring platforms form a strip on an interior side of a bedding boundary on which lawn care equipment may pass.

Abstract: A landscaping device is disclosed that provides users with an easily assembled decorative lawn or landscaping barrier. The landscaping device comprises a plurality of elongated members secured together in various configurations. The elongated members comprise a center portion, a first end portion, and a second end portion, with each end portion extending from the center portion. Furthermore, the first end portion of one elongated member is attachable to the second end portion of a second elongated member and can be secured via a stake. Specifically, the first end portion comprises an overlapping segment, and the second end portion comprises an opposing overlapping segment which mates with the overlapping segment of the first end portion to secure the elongated members together. A stake is then driven into the end portions to secure the elongated members to the surface. Once secure, the elongated members are substantially flush with each other.

Abstract: An ornamental planter device that is used for decorating lawns and gardens. In various embodiments, it includes a colorful flower, bird and insect, each fastened on the end of a stake. Each has a planter on the back so a gardener may plant their choice of flower. A detachable screw is screwed in the ground and each stake is attached with a secure fastener. The stake is easy to unfasten for mowing.

Abstract: An edging guide may include an anchor and a retainer that may be rotatably mounted to the anchor. The anchor may be buried in the ground during use and may include a post portion and a support portion. The retainer may be rotatably mounted to the support of the anchor and may function to secure hold one or more lengths of edging material.

The bed has a bottom wall, an exterior side wall, and either one or two semi-cylindrical walls inside and secured to the outer wall, or two cylindrical walls either wholly inside or having a portion forming a portion of the exterior side wall for strengthening of the bed. In forms having two cylindrical or two semi-cylindrical inner walls, cross walls may extend across the bed between straight side wall portions of the side wall to strengthen the straight side wall portions against outward displacement when the bed is filled with plant growth media.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include devices and systems that provide a landscape edging assembly and system. In particular, for example, the landscape edging assembly can comprise a first portion, a second portion, and a barrier. The first portion and the second portion are configured to interface with each other in a way that secures the barrier directly to the first portion and the second portion. The barrier can then be situated to create a barrier for roots underground, while the first portion and second portion can be situated to form the aesthetic portion of the edging assembly.

Abstract: A landscape edging system has edging strip material with ends having a laterally extending projection and adapted for overlapping relation when assembled and having end edges disposed in edge to edge relation. A stake clip member is mounted to each of the laterally extending projections and defines a stake receptacle. An installation stake extends through the vertically aligned stake receptacles and secures the end portions of adjacent strips of landscape edging material in said overlapping edge to edge relation and supports the landscape edging strip material in upright position. The installation stake and stake receptacles have interacting wedge shaped geometry that locks the ends of the strip material in assembly.

Abstract: An assembly of blocks for use in yard and garden environments includes a plurality of discrete blocks each having a body portion and a joining portion, the joining portion having a plurality of angled teeth. The teeth of a first one of the plurality of blocks interlock with the teeth of a second one of the plurality of blocks such that the first and second blocks are connected together and arranged perpendicular relative to one another so that the plurality of blocks has an L-shaped configuration.

Abstract: A structure of a planting bed includes at least a work platform, a plurality of first and second supporting rods, a sliding track and an image capture apparatus. The first work platform is disposed on a work plane for supporting a plurality of plants. The first supporting rods each extend in a first direction. The second supporting rods are disposed on the work plane and around the work platform to support the work platform on the work plane, and each are connected to two adjacent first supporting rods. The sliding track is disposed on a monitoring plane and extends in a second direction. The sliding structure extends in a third direction and an end thereof is disposed on the sliding track. The image capture apparatus is installed to the sliding structure for capturing images at different positions on the work platform while the sliding structure is being driven to slide.

The barrier comprises distinct sections having both male and female interlocking mechanisms capable of maintaining a secure bond, thereby increasing the structural integrity of the feature as a whole. Two profiles are created to meet the desired need of a homeowner. The first produces a horizontal walkway while the second forms an L-shaped figure providing an area to showcase landscaping materials such as dirt, mulch, flowers and shrubs. Both forms are fabricated from inexpensive and lightweight materials aiding in ease of installation when compared to current masonry products available that replicate similar features.

Openings can be provided for receiving retaining spikes for securing the modular border to the ground. Supporting structures can provide rigidity and/or structural support to the curb and/or the planter. The modular border may include partition lines for division into smaller partitions.

Abstract: Systems, methods and devices are provided that include one or more modular planter curbs, wherein each modular planter curb includes a concrete unit that has a back side that is substantially upright, that has a front side that tapers from a wider lower portion to a narrower upper portion, and that has a height not exceeding 24 inches. The concrete unit may include precast concrete, cast stone, and/or precast stone. Each modular planter curb also may include connector points, and connector hardware may be used to interconnect the plurality of modular planter curbs at the connector points. In some embodiments, a modular planter curb may be selected from the group comprising a bench curb, a backrest curb, a daybed curb, a transition curb, a straight curb, a curved curb, an annular arc curb, and a full annular curb. Abstract: A gardening assembly apparatus having a modular flexible sheet of material with one or more top and bottom pre-cut slots on the flexible sheet of material. The slots may be used to connect parts of the flexible sheet of material in the assembly of the gardening assembly apparatus. Both top and bottom pre-cut slots may be positioned at certain predetermined lengths and/or reciprocally positioned in relation to one another along the length of the flexible sheet of material. The top and bottom pre-cut slots may be measured at half the height of the flexible sheet of material and may be configured to accommodate multiple connections which would allow for modular connections. The positions of the top and bottom slots, along with the numerous connections made, provide for a variety of gardening assembly apparatus configurations for each gardening application.

The landscape edging has a substantially vertical planar surface adjacent to a substantially horizontal surface. The vertical planar surface and the horizontal planar surface are adhered to a sidewalk or pavement that borders a flower bed or garden. A riser extends upward from a first end of the horizontal surface. A lip surface extends from the riser in a direction away from the horizontal planar surface. A curved canopy surface extends from the lip, back over the lip and the horizontal surface, until it intersects with a flower bed wall. The flower bed wall has orifices disposed therein to allow water from the flower bed to enter the landscape edging. The horizontal planar surface, the lip surface, the canopy surface and the flower bed wall define a substantially closed surface.

In a preferred embodiment, the runs are comprised of shredded rubber.

Abstract: A raised garden system includes a plurality of structural members that include a plurality of side rails. The raised garden system further includes a plurality of tapered bracket assemblies, each of which includes a tapered male bracket that slides into a tapered female bracket. Each side rail may be connected to at least one other structural member via a bracket assembly, wherein one of the male bracket and the female brackets is fastened to the side rail and the other of the male bracket and the female bracket is fastened to the other structural member. When assembled, the structural members form a raised garden, the sides of which are at least partially formed from the side rails, and which is held together by the tapered bracket assemblies.

The lawn edging product enables solderless connection of one or more low voltage lights at points along the length of the edging using a light socket body with a plug adapted for insertion into holes formed in the strip to expose embedded conductors. Adjacent sections of lawn edging may be connected together physically and electrically.

Abstract: A stackable plant support assembly may include two plant support frames that by be vertically stacked or secured to each other, one supporting the other, using a plurality of clips. Each frame may be formed from two or more wire frame portions. The clips, which may be constructed of plastic, may include a body having a pair of spaced apart, parallel channels and a closure that is used to close off the channels. Each channel of the clip(s) may extend through the body such that each channel has a pair of opens ends and an open top. A pair of parallel grooves may also be defined in the surface of each channel. The grooves may allow each clip to engage up to four separate frame portions. Therefore, the clips may be used for securing together and supporting two separate vertically arranged frames by engaging the frame portions of each frame.

Abstract: The instant invention provides a kit for assembly of a raised garden bed. The raised garden bed includes panel members, corner connector members, and linear connector members constructed of a polymeric material and adapted to be snapped together into a substantially rigid raised garden bed without the need for special tools or excessive strength. A tongue and groove arrangement is also provided to allow for panel member stacking for increased garden bed height. The components of the kit are constructed and arranged to be packed into a relatively small profile for shipping and transport and are generally light enough to be loaded and unloaded without the need for equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fertilization system that finds particular use within a paved surface. The invention allows the root structure of a plant or tree to be hydrated and fertilized by way of an expansible and configurable trough and grate assembly. The trough includes a number of different components that fit together with a tongue and groove interconnection. The trough includes drainage apertures that allow water to run through the grate and into an associated fertilization pit.

Abstract: An elongated edging assembly for holding landscaping and/or paving materials and the like in place in a predetermined location. The assembly may be made up of first and second elongated edger members which each include an elongated upright material retaining plate and a connector located adjacent an end of the corresponding member. The connectors desirably include respective mating interengageable components located on the plates near the ends thereof. The components are configured and adapted to cooperate to interconnect the members and maintain the ends of the respective plates in substantial abutting relationship with the plates in substantial alignment. The members may ideally be arranged as a neat packet of related objects including a pair of elongated members configured, arranged, aligned and joined together so as to present a single elongated construct having an open interior. At least one accessory item for said members is arranged within the open interior.

Abstract: A garden bed assembly and extensions therefor is disclosed. The garden bed assembly includes at least one raised garden starter module containing suitable planting soil or other growing media for plants and may be extended using one or more extender modules, such as straight extender modules and/or corner extender modules. The assembly as disclosed herein includes one or more modules defining the planter. The front section of the starter module and the straight extender module may include a rotatable upper portion to provide convenient access to the plants. Each module section may have a substantially imperforate lower portion and a perforate upper portion prohibiting unwanted creatures such as gophers, rabbits and other animals from gaining access to the growing plants in the garden bed assembly.
