Tee Setting Device Patents (Class 473/386)
  • Patent number: 5928091
Abstract: A golf tee and ball setting device, which requires no stooping or bending by a user when setting a tee and ball, comprises an elongated handle having a lower end with an arcuate surface for receiving a golf ball. A lever device is pivotally attached to the handle adjacent to the lower end and employs a leaf spring biased to hold a golf ball and tee in axial alignment with the handle. Downward pressure is applied to the handle to insert and set the tee firmly into the ground. The user's foot is then applied to pivot the lever device and release the set tee and golf ball.

  • Patent number: 5913737
Abstract: A golf tee setting device is used for adjustably positioning a golf tee into a ground surface. The golf tee setting device includes a body made of a rigid material and at least one receptacle formed in the body for partially receiving the golf tee. The receptacle is formed to have a predetermined length shorter than a length of the golf tee so that a lower end of the golf tee is exposed from the body such that the height of the golf tee with respect to the ground surface is consistent. Preferably, the receptacle is substantially perpendicular to a bottom of the body. The receptacle is configured substantially in a shape of an inverse pyramid such that the receptacle tapers from a wider top portion to a narrower lower portion. There may be two or more receptacles formed in the body, each receptacle configured to receive the golf tee. Each receptacle is configured to receive the golf tee and to have different length than the other receptacles.

  • Patent number: 5820490
Abstract: Two golf tees are tethered together by a cord, preferably a monofilament which passes through the stems of the tees. Pegs mounted on a home station are inserted into the tees for storage and carrying the tees through the game. In use, both tees are inserted into the ground, and the tether prevents loss of the tees. The tees are made of high density polyethylene or other similar tough material, as the assembly is designed to prevent loss and breakage of tees.

  • Patent number: 5772533
Abstract: A small, lightweight golf ball teeing device is disclosed for allowing a golfer to tee up a golf ball without bending over using a golf club as a handle for the device. A housing positions the golf ball over the golf tee. A delayed urging means is used to clamp the ball and tee to the housing. While the tee is inserted into the ground, the delayed urging means compresses and rebounds slowly releasing the ball and tee from the device. Gripping fingers are positioned on top of the housing to provide a secure, aligned attachment to a golf club grip. An opening in the housing permits horizontal golf tees to be scooped up without bending. A clip is incorporated with the housing to provide attachment to golf bags, belts, etc.

  • Patent number: 5759117
Abstract: A golf ball teeing device which allows an impaired or elderly golfer to tee a golf ball without the need of bending over, the devices may also be used to retrieve balls from the ground, cup or water hazards. These goals are accomplished by the use of a long handled, golf club-like device with a spring loaded golf ball and tee holding device at its bottom end and a depressable knob at the top end. The golfer uses the device by depressing the knob, which opens the gap between the ball holder and tee holder, thereby allowing a golfer to place a tee and golf ball in the device. The user then places the device in an upright position and pushes the tee at the bottom end of the present invention into the ground, and again depresses the knob, releasing the tee and the ball in their desired position. The golfer may also depress the knob, causing the aforementioned gap to open, and allowing the golfer to place the gap over a golf ball that is on the ground.

  • Patent number: 5743819
Abstract: A golf tee setter according to the present invention allows golfers to use a real tee on a practice mat to practice their swing in golf driving ranges as if they are actually practicing on real ground. The golf tee setter is configured to be placed in the rubber tee hole of the practice mat and has a slit formed in a tee holder to hold the tee in substantially vertical position in relation to the practice mat to place a golf ball on the tee. The golf tee setter also includes a base plate coupled to a bottom portion of the first member having a slightly larger diameter than the tee holder and the tee hole to allow a top portion of the tee holder to slide into the tee hole until the base abuts the practice mat. A cord tethers the golf tee and the golf tee setter for repeated use of the golf tee.
