    Abstract: A gyroscopic exercise device has a pair of handles attached to a housing. A user holds and rotates the handles along a cone-like path causing precession of a rotor, which is rotating about its spin axis, to provide resistance to the user. The device has a ring guide that holds ends of a shaft, which is coupled to the rotor. The periphery of the ring guide and the ends of the shaft are within a circular race defined by the housing. A motor attached to the ring guide drives a wheel that rotates the rotor about a spin axis by using energy provided by batteries in one of the handles. The energy passes through a conducting conduit that rotates about the precession axis. The ring guide, motor, and rotor can rotate together during precession of the rotor.

Thus, when the rotor is initially rotated or is towed to take a linear movement by being put in contact with a fixture surface, the resiliency device builds up compression spring force, which, when the rotor is released, causes the rotor to rotate in a reversed direction and gaining auxiliary starting power and initial rotation speed.

The handgrip permits of anchoring either within the body's interior or at its exterior, in which case, the impinger stem is caused to extend through a window cut therein.

    Abstract: Left and right hand exercisers are formed based upon a modification of the handgrips disclosed and claimed in U.S. Pat. No. 5,979,015, wherein a throughbore is made through the grip, generally vertically through the elongation of the grip, at an angle between 82 and 88 degrees. A flattened tube of nylon webbing, or equal, is disposed through the throughbore, and is either connected to itself to form an endless loop spaced from the body of the grip in one embodiment. In another embodiment, the webbing passing through the bottom end of the grip is retained in place by one of several means. The end of the webbing emanating from the top of the grip may be attached directly to an elastic tube or band, or to a swivel split ring. If the latter, cables or other devices can be appended to the split ring as is known to the art.
