Moves At Different Speeds Patents (Class 49/100)
  • Patent number: 10736452
Abstract: A motorized drapery system having an elongated rotating drive element that has a non-circular cross-sectional shape such as square, rectangular, trapezoidal, cross shaped or any other non-circular shape that is twisted. In one arrangement the drive element is twisted in one direction along its entire length. In another arrangement the drive element is twisted in one direction in a first section and twisted in an opposite direction in a second section thereby providing a center opening/center closing drapery. A plurality of rings are positioned around the drive element including at least one driver ring that includes a feature that connects to the drive element and is configured to facilitate movement along the drive element, and a plurality of idler rings that are configured to slide along the drive element. A curtain is connected to the rings and opens and closes as the rings move along the drive element.

Abstract: A sliding door for an elevator installation comprises door leaves, which are horizontally displaceable between a closed position and an open position. The sliding door further comprises a synchronization element, which is coupled with the door leaves and so synchronizes these that the door leaves are guided at different speeds in an opening direction from the closed position to the open position and conversely against the opening direction. The sliding door comprises a toggle mechanism which a couples a door post with only one door leaf, which is not directly arranged at the door post.

Abstract: A sliding door for an elevator installation includes door leaves, which are horizontally displaceable between a closed position and an open position. The sliding door also includes a synchronization element, which is coupled with the door leaves and so synchronizes these that the door leaves are guided at different speeds, in an opening direction from the closed position to the open position or conversely opposite to the opening direction. The synchronization element includes at least one scissors linkage. The sliding door also includes a drive shaft coupled by way of a drive linkage at least with one door leaf. The sliding door additionally includes a locking mechanism which is so coupled with the drive shaft that the locking mechanism is openable by an actuation of the drive shaft when the door leaves are still substantially closed.

  • Patent number: 5388370
Abstract: One stile of the sash in a door or window frame has an elongated channel for an elongated trough-shaped gear case rotatably receiving a first gear in mesh with the toothed rack of a reciprocable carrier in the gear case. A bifurcated end portion of the carrier mounts a second gear which meshes with a fixed rack of the gear case and with an elongated rack which is slidable along and overlies an open side of the gear case. The first gear can be rotated by a handle to move the carrier whereby the second gear rolls along the fixed rack and causes the elongated rack to perform a movement greater than the carrier. The elongated rack is coupled to motion receiving bars in the channel of the stile.

  • Patent number: 4588049
Abstract: To each panel is associated a panel suspension and guiding arrangement which comprises rollers cooperating with at least one guiding rail and through which the panel is slidably supported on the door frame. An extension of the guiding rails laterally beyond the door frame is avoided, in closing position of the door, through the provision of the panel suspension and guiding arrangement which is constructed to comprise a fixed guiding rail along which moves at least one roller movable with the panel, and a guiding rail movable with the panel and displaceable over a roller fixed in position. Such an arrangement facilitates the transportation, the handling and the mounting of doors, namely fully equipped landing doors, whether they be of the central opening or telescopic panel type.

  • Patent number: 4177881
Abstract: An elevator system including an elevator car having an entranceway, a door having one or more door panels mounted for movement to open and close the entranceway, a door operator for the door, and mounting hardware for mounting the door operator on top of the elevator car. The mounting hardware provides horizontal and vertical adjustment of the door operator, with all adjustments being easily made from the top of the car. When the elevator car has a two-speed door, the high and low speed hanger tracks are horizontally spaced from one another, and they are mounted outside of the vertical projection of the door operator frame. The door hanger plates for both the high and low speed door panels are disposed between the hanger roller tracks. The spacing between the high and low speed roller tracks enables the hanger plates and door panels to be placed in position, or to be removed, from the top of the car.
