    Abstract: A motor-driven window regulator for use with a horizontally sliding window installed in the rear window opening of a pickup truck cab. The sliding window is moved between a closed position wherein it fills a gap between two fixed, outboard mounted windows and an open position wherein it slides to overlap one of the fixed leaving the gap open. The sliding window is actuated by a pair of linear actuation cables, each of which is attached to the sliding window at a first end and to a motor-driven cable drive drum at a second end. The linear actuation cables extend away from the sliding window in opposite directions parallel with the direction of sliding movement and wrap around the cable drive drum in opposite directions so that rotation of the cable drive drum in one direction places a first cable in tension to pull the sliding window toward the open position and rotation of the cable drive drum in the opposite direction tensions the second cable to pull the sliding window toward the closed position.

Such initial offset facilitates mounting of the sliding pane in its closed position in a plane substantially flush with an adjacent fixed position pane or other object of the window assembly of the vehicle body. Pull/pull type drive means are provided for operating the sliding pane. Specifically, a cable-and-drum drive mechanism of the window assembly includes a drive cable wrapped around a drive drum and attached to the sliding pane.

A plurality of swing arms connect the sash to a movable carriage so that in the second position the sash can be moved along a linear path between a closed position and open position relative to the first position of the sash in the fixed frame. At least one of the swing arms has a control arm pivotally attached to it. The control arm has a locking member engageable within and movable along a slot in the carriage. The locking member can be secured within a section of the slot angularly offset from the main section of the slot when the sash is in the second position. With the locking member secured in the angularly offset section, the sash is retained in the second position. A lug secured to the fixed frame is located in the path of the carriage as the sash moves along the linear path toward the closed position.

    Abstract: A moveable, rollaway door or window panel is provided in a structure having one moveable panel and one fixed panel. The moveable panel, when in its closed position, is substantially co-planar with the fixed panel; and when in its fully open position, it is substantially co-extensive with and on the interior side of the fixed panel. A pair of control rods, one at each side, is concealed within the sash structure of the moveable panel, and is secured at its top and bottom ends to a cam member. Each cam member has a guide member which co-operates with a guide track, and is rotatable with respect thereto. The cam members at the upper ends of the control rod are connected to each other by a tie rod or cable in such a way that rotation of one of the control rods causes an equal rotation in the same direction of rotation of the other of the control rods, thereby assuring planar movement of all four corners of the moveable panel.

The individual panels are vertically movable relative to their carriers and are arranged to be releasably supported on their carriers in an elevated position above the floor to arrange them for movement between points of storage and points of use. At the point of use the panels are released from dropping under gravity onto the floor for manual juxtaposition and squaring with adjacent panels to form the partition. The individual panels have adjustable base shoes for squaring of the panels, and a top seal arrangement for sealing the gap between the individual panels and the track.
