  • Patent number: 9103159
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for an automatic/semiautomatic door, and more particularly, to an apparatus for an automatic/semiautomatic door to prevent the door from leaving its track during an opening/closing process and to maintain airtightness between the inside and the outside when closed. In the apparatus for the automatic/semiautomatic door, airtight frames are separably assembled at the top, bottom and both sides of the automatic/semiautomatic door and wherein an airtight structure is buried in a floor surface coming in contact with the bottom of an opening/closing door of the automatic/semiautomatic door, so that the airtight frame is air-tightly and slidably inserted into the airtight structure. Therefore, any gap between the inside and outside is blocked to improve airtightness by preventing drafts, noise, etc. and the opening/closing door is prevented from shaking or leaving its track.

Abstract: A window pane is mounted in a closed position outside a window frame, commonly referred to as a frameless window, and is movable into open positions parallel to the closed position. The window pane can be slid into a fully open position. Sliding mechanisms are attached to the window pane. Swing arms connect the sliding mechanisms to the window frame. Control arms also connect the sliding mechanisms to the window frame. They determine the distance of and control the translation of the window pan from the closed position to the initial open position. A handle is attached to at least one of the sliding mechanisms or window pane. Latching mechanisms secure the handle in the open positions. Abstract: A draft guard balancer is provided that attaches to, or is otherwise mechanically coupled to, or an integral part of, an existing balance shoe or balancer for a fenestration product such as a double hung window. The draft guard balancer creates a weatherstop along the track of the fenestration product that resists air, water, dirt, dust, pollen, and insects from entering the track and then the building. The draft guard balancer may be used with a balancer having a variety of springs, spring assemblies, balancer shoes and pivot bar arrangements. The draft guard balancer creates a seal that also prevents the increased friction that results from dirt and debris entering the track, thus making for a more energy efficient, easier to operate fenestration product. The draft guard balancer is equally applicable to both top and bottom sashes of a double hung window as well as other fenestration products.

Abstract: The static air dam includes at least one mounting feature, which is preferably at least one hole or slot to allow a fastener, such as a screw, bolt, rivet, weld, or other similar attachment devices, to secure the air dam to a wall of a jamb channel. Air passage through the jamb channel is prohibited or at least substantially inhibited by the static air dam that is designed to approximate the size and dimensions of the cross section of the jamb channel. At least one side of the air dam includes a tab or similar structure for securing the free end of the curl spring of a curl spring balance. The air dam includes integrally formed reinforcing elements that either abut or are adjacent to the side walls of the jamb channel. The air dam preferably includes a pair of flexible projections for engaging ears on the curl spring carrier.

Abstract: A window or door assembly including a jamb member and a jamb liner having a fastener opening coupled along the jamb member. A sash is moveably coupled along the jamb liner. The window or door assembly includes a structural filler coupled over a portion of the jamb liner, and the structural filler substantially conceals the fastener opening. The structural filler includes a flange sized and shaped to engage with the sash, and the flange substantially prevents movement of the sash over the structural filler. In one option, the flange extends along the structural filler and the sash. The structural filler further includes a contact surface engaged with the jamb liner and a projection rotatably coupled with the jamb liner, and the structural filler rotates in a first direction around the projection.

Abstract: A track and arm type door controller assembly. A channel member and a gripping member each having a toothed surface are provided, with the gripping member slidably disposed in the channel member. When the pin is retracted, the gripping member teeth are spaced from the channel member teeth, and the gripping member may freely slide along the track. When the pin is advanced, the teeth engage and the gripping member is in a fixed, non-sliding position. An elongated spring and a spring clip or a latch may be provided that releasably engage to hold the door open. A set screw may adjust the tightness of the engagement of the elongated spring and spring clip of latch. A friction assembly may be provided to slow the motion of the door.

  • Patent number: 7313888
Abstract: A device for preventing rattling of a door window glass for vehicles. In an activated condition, i.e. upon the upward and downward movement of the window glass, smoother upward and downward movement of the window glass is enabled, thereby eliminating noise due to frictional contact between the window glass and the weatherstrip. In an inactivated or stopped condition of the window glass, the inside walls of the weatherstrip are supportedly brought into close contact with the surfaces of the window glass, thereby also eliminating noise due to rattling of the window glass caused by external factors such as wind, etc.

  • Patent number: 7069697
Abstract: A door glass run includes a door glass run body having a U-shaped cross section, and a pair of lip portions each one of the lip portions extending from opposite sides of an opening edge of the door glass run body toward a bottom face portion of the door glass run body and effective to slidably contact with the door glass. The lip portions have lengths individually set so that, even if the door glass vibrates in the door glass run, the lip portions will not be spaced away from the door glass. Alternatively, a protrusion is provided on an inner wall face of the door glass run body. A height of the protrusion is set so that, even if the door glass vibrates, an end portion of one lip portion closest to the protrusion does not contact with an inner wall face of the door glass run body.

  • Patent number: 7062880
Abstract: A stabilizer clip for a window assembly clip includes a clip body having a generally U-shaped profile. The clip body is preferably sized to be retained in a windowpane run channel assembly. The clip body defines a groove between opposed side walls for slidably receiving an edge of a windowpane. A plurality of pads extends outwardly from the walls. The pads are adapted to slidably engage the windowpane. When the clip body is retained in the windowpane run channel assembly by a mounting means and the windowpane is in an extended position, the pads engage with the windowpane to prevent lateral movement of the windowpane relative to the windowpane run channel assembly.

Abstract: A window jamb component assembly mountable in the jambs of a double hung window for cooperative engagement with the sash assemblies thereof. The component assembly includes a longitudinally elongated jamb liner having upper and lower segments comprising a pair of channel guides spaced apart by a profiled web. The profiled web defines sequentially aligned recesses, namely an inner weather stripping recess, a jamb filler recess and an outer weather stripping recess. A jamb filler, held by the jamb filler recess, provides a uniformly clad surface for the jambs to match the appearance of the trim of the double hung window. Frame weather stripping for sealingly engaging the sash assemblies of the double hung window is deployed and held in the inner and outer weather stripping recesses. Such assembly provides a visually pleasing finish for the window jambs, while providing improved cooperation between the window jamb and the sash assemblies.
