One Closure With Complete Independent Movement Patents (Class 49/98)
  • Patent number: 10822860
Abstract: An electronically powered window for a watercraft consists of a shuttle frame, a sliding mechanism, a window pane, and a bottom edge support groove. A first lateral support arm and a second lateral support arm of the shuttle frame along with the bottom edge support groove helps position the window pane within the shuttle frame. The sliding mechanism allows the user to position the window pane such that the window is in an open configuration or a closed configuration. To do so, a first lateral edge is slidably positioned along the first lateral support arm. Moreover, a second lateral edge is slidably positioned along the second lateral support arm.

  • Patent number: 9353568
Abstract: Movable partition systems include an elongated, fixed drive member extending along a track, a partition that is automatically and manually movable along the track, and a motor carried by the movable partition configured to drive a rotatable drive member that is engagable with the elongated, fixed drive member. The rotatable drive member may be engaged with, and disengaged from, the fixed drive member. Methods of moving a partition along a track include actuating a motor carried by a movable partition to drive rotation of a drive member while the drive member is engaged with an elongated, fixed drive member, and manually moving the partition along the track while the rotatable drive member is disengaged from the fixed drive member. Methods of installing a movable partition system include configuring a rotatable drive member to be capable of engagement with, and disengagement from, an elongated, fixed drive member.

  • Patent number: 9302362
Abstract: A door mechanism of a machining center includes a wide door panel, narrow door panels, a pair of upper and lower slide rails into which the wide door panel and the narrow door panels are fitted, and a plurality of motors that serve as drive units for independently driving the wide door panel and the narrow door panels. The wide door panel and the narrow door panels are arranged in line extending across an opening of the machining center to close the opening of the machining center and are slidable in a direction parallel to a width of the opening to open a portion of the opening having a width approximately twice a width of a one of the narrow door panels.

  • Patent number: 9097055
Abstract: A power split tailgate system is provided that allows each of an upper and a lower tailgate door to be simultaneously or independently driven between open and closed positions. The tailgate system may be operated in a chauffer mode where the lower tailgate door is opened to allow for the storage of luggage and other materials and in a manner that limits exposure of the passenger compartment.

  • Publication number: 20130298466
Abstract: Electro-mechanical and electronically controlled access devices are described for controlling access to a building, premises or area in a secure manner such that a subject who is deemed ineligible for access will be barred entry and may be optionally retained. The devices can contain multiple rotatable door panels, which can be positioned behind one another. The door panels can be controlled by mechanized arms or other control devices in order to control the passage through the device. The direction of flow through a device according to these embodiments is electronically controlled and may be changed at any point in time. At any instant in time, the flow through the device is unidirectional. Multiple devices can be stacked together to form clusters, which can be controlled according to traffic, time of day, or other factors.

  • Patent number: 6681532
Abstract: The present invention is a door adaptable for work spaces in a modular work area environment. The door is bi-fold in design, can be attached to any flat surface, and is particularly suited for attachment to the flat end portion of the modular wall separating two adjacent modular work spaces. The door can then be used to close the entry and egress area of either adjacent modular work space areas. When not in use, the door can be folded such that it rests in a position perpendicular to the shared modular wall, such that the entry and egress areas of both adjacent modular work spaces are open.

  • Patent number: 6378248
Abstract: A jalousie assembly comprising a plurality of independently adjustable front and rear panels forming tandem pairs. A front panel operator operates the front panels and a rear panel operator operates the rear panels independently from the front panels. Thus, the front panels can be opened independently from the rear panels or together with the rear panels. The front panel may be constructed of aluminum or glass while the rear panel may be constructed of transparent glass.

  • Patent number: 4193339
Abstract: A combination air vent and air scoop for the roof top of a motor vehicle has an integral body with an air inlet scoop in the front and an air outlet vent in the rear. The scoop is opened and closed by means of a panel which has a closed position in which it rests flush against the body of the device and an open position in which it extends inwardly into the interior of the device. The vent is opened and closed by means of a second panel which likewise has a closed position in which it rests flush against the body of the device and an open position in which it extends into the interior of the device. Means are provided for actuating the scoop panel and the vent panel independently. Both the scoop and the vent can be opened and closed while maintaining the body of the device in a fixed relationship with the roof of the motor vehicle.
