Abstract: A furniture object, configured to store a foldable bed, may include a fixed panel and a foldable support platform including distal and proximate support panels. The fixed panel may include a bottom panel, an upper surface of the bottom panel at least partially defining a bottom inner surface of a compartment within an interior of the furniture object. The proximate support panel may be hingeably connected at opposite edges to the distal support panel and the one or more fixed panels via separate hingeable connections. The foldable support platform may between a folded position and a deployed position via a scissors-type motion. In the folded position, the foldable support platform may partially enclose the compartment. In the deployed position, the foldable support platform and bottom panel may collectively define a sleeping platform that structurally supports a bed resting on the proximate and distal support panels and the bottom panel.

Abstract: A foldout bed housing with four panels is described. The housing includes a bed tray comprising a first panel, a second panel, a third panel, and a fourth panel, wherein the first and second panels are hingeably coupled and the third and fourth panels are hingeably coupled, and one or more fasteners for rigidly coupling the first and second panels with the third and fourth panels in a planar surface. The housing also includes a first and second side wall, a front panel, a first back panel, a top panel, and a counterbalance mechanism. Each housing component can be shipped in a packed configuration for economic shipping. Upon delivery, the combination can be unpacked for quick and easy installation.

Abstract: A bed base is configured as a light weight, collapsible bed base having a plurality of separate and independent bed sections. A pair of brackets are provided, and each bracket is releasably attachable to each one of the plurality of separate and independent bed sections to form the bed base. The plurality of separate and independent bed sections connected only through the pair of brackets.

Abstract: A bed structure includes a bedstead formed by bedstead units. The bedstead units are symmetrically arranged with respect to the central axis of the bedstead. The bedstead unit includes a first bedstead unit and a second bedstead unit. The first bedstead unit is hinged to the second bedstead unit. A motor is provided between the first bedstead unit and the second bedstead unit. The bedstead units at both sides of the central axis of the bedstead are hinged by a fixing rod. Each of two ends of the fixing rod is provided with a clamping member. The bedstead unit is provided with a matching member connected to the clamping member. The clamping member and the matching member are hinged by a fastener. In this arrangement, the electric bed can be folded.

Abstract: A collapsible mattress support for a box spring includes hinges on opposite sides of a middle cross bar. First and second side bars are pivotally attached to one hinge, and third and fourth side bars are pivotally attached to the other hinge. Each of the bars rotates about parallel axes that are orthogonal to the hinges. The four side bars each has a common width. A first distance between the axes about which the first and second bars rotate equals twice the common width of the bars plus a second distance between the axes about which the third and fourth bars rotate. In one embodiment, the cross bars are extendable. The components of the mattress support for Queen, California King and Eastern King sized mattresses fit in a packing box whose length is no greater than 45 inches and whose width and height are each no more than 7 inches.

Abstract: Provided is a folding bed including a cabinet unit and a head part pivotable in relation to the cabinet unit, wherein the head part, in an unused position, is positioned in an approximately vertical orientation in the cabinet unit and in a usage position in an approximately horizontal orientation at least in sections in front of the cabinet unit. The head part can be pivoted from the unused position into the usage position and back. In order to further reduce the space required for the folding bed, the cabinet unit and head part are connected together via a control lever that is held pivotable about a pivot axis on the cabinet unit and a pivot axis on the head part. The control lever is designed such that on movement of the head part from the unused position into the usage position and back, it is pivoted against the cabinet unit.

Abstract: A frame member supports a seat and a back and is movable between a horizontal position for supporting a user thereon and a vertical position for stowing the frame against the wall. Linkage secures the frame member to a wall mounting apparatus. The linkage includes oppositely disposed pairs of links that pivot the frame member relative to the wall to define a first distance between the wall and the frame member when the frame is in the vertical position and a second lesser distance between the wall and the frame member when the frame is in the horizontal position thus requiring less space between the frame and the wall. The frame assembly also has a leg pivotally connected to the frame member by linkage such that the leg moves beneath the frame between an upstanding supporting position and a collapsed storage position coincident with movement of the frame.

Abstract: An improved furniture bed assembly primarily comprising a housing having a caster assembly, a stationary frame assembly and a bed frame assembly. Housed within and secured to the housing, the bed frame assembly has means to fold within the furniture housing. The caster assembly is a retractable wheel assembly to facilitate movement of the instant invention. To use the bed assembly, a user opens the housing, exposing the bed. The user pulls the bed assembly partially out of the furniture housing allowing the bed frame assembly to lock in place, to allow the user to safely and comfortably lay down and rest on the bed.

Abstract: The present invention provides an article of furniture in the form of a cabinet and folding bed combination that provides a comfortable sleeping surface for the user. The present invention provides a mattress assembly capable of receiving a mattress having a thickness of up to 4″ and capable of being folded in spaced relation for storage inside the cabinet. The present invention is designed for convenient storage inside the cabinet without the use of a locking mechanism. The unique design of the present invention allows the center of gravity of the front panel to change as it is rotated so that the weight of the mattress assembly assists in closing the front panel and keeps the front panel firmly closed against the front opening of the cabinet.

A head frame is securely attached to a second end of the front frame and includes a lower end securely located on the ground to avoid sliding. A rear leg frame is securely attached to a second end of the rear frame. One of the front frame and the rear frame includes two handles respectively attached to two lateral sides thereof. Each handle includes an extension that is located between the front frame and the rear frame when the foldable bed assembly is in a folded status.

Abstract: A retractable bed includes a self-standing enclosure frame having tracks with curved segments at opposite ends of the enclosure. A mattress support frame formed of interconnected hinged sections has rollers which engage the tracks such that the mattress frame slides between a retracted position within the enclosure and a sleeping position extending from the enclosure. The mattress frame is oriented to move sideways into and out of the enclosure. A motor bracket is pivotally connected to the enclosure frame, has a motor mounted thereon, and has an elongated threaded shaft engaged with the motor. A nut arm is pivotally connected to the mattress frame, and a nut on a free end of the arm is threaded onto the shaft. Rotation of the shaft moves the mattress frame along the tracks for extension and retraction. Pivoting of the drive assembly accommodates movement of the mattress frame around the curved segments of the tracks.

Abstract: An exercising equipment unit is provided in which a cabinet of rectilinear form having the appearance of a conventional piece of furniture when not in use, has mounted therein an articulated body support platform having an inner section pivotally connected to the interior of the cabinet, a center bench section hingedly attached to the inner section, and an outer section hingedly connected to the center bench section. The platform sections are dimensioned to fit along the back top and front of the interior of the cabinet when in stored condition and may be extended to a horizontal position raised above the floor. The platform sections are narrower than the cabinet to provide space on either side for the installation of exercising equipment. A foot pedal assembly may be mounted on the inner end of the inner section of the body support platform.
