Base Props Patents (Class 5/168)
  • Patent number: 8998160
Abstract: A L-shaped bracket having aligned vertical and horizontal slots is mounted on a telescopic stand. A frame member is positioned on a horizontal support plate of the bracket. A bearing plate extends vertically from the support plate. The support plate includes spaced apart open ended slots aligned beneath elongated vertically extending slots in the bearing plate. A J-bolt having a cap at one end and a threaded portion at an opposite end extends through the aligned slots to a position where the cap abuts the bearing plate and the threaded end portion extends down through the slot in the support plate. A bell nut is tightened on the threaded end of the bolt to draw the bolt into clamping engagement with the frame where the bolt is adjustable along the length of the vertical slot in the bearing plate to receive frames of a variable range of height.

  • Patent number: 7823231
Abstract: A structure for a piece of furniture, such as a retractable bed, includes a fixed part and a pivoting part, the latter having an essentially flat frame and being hinged to the fixed part between an essentially vertical raised position and an essentially horizontal lowered position. The pivoting part includes at least one guide which extends approximately at right angles to the frame and at least one leg mounted on this guide in such a way as to slide, with an actuating device connecting the leg to the fixed part to move the leg between an extended position when the pivoting part is in the lowered position in such a way that its free end is standing on the floor and a withdrawn position when the bed is in its raised position.

  • Patent number: 5621930
Abstract: A convertible furniture frame assembly (8) having a stationary base assembly (12) that supports at least one retractable supporting means (14, 16). This supporting means (14, 16) is used to support retractable furniture components (10a, 10b) as they are raised and lowered. The invention further incorporates at least one generally horizontal self standing support means (18) to stabilize the furniture frame assembly (8) and at least one torsion system (20, 20') that aids users in raising and lowering the furniture components (10a, 10b). The user is also aided by a self-energizing latching means (28) that automatically latches the retractable supporting means (14, 16) in its lowered position. The user is further convenienced by a retaining means that prevents loose articles on the furniture components (10a, 10b) from sliding into the base assembly (12) during retraction.
