Abstract: A litter support system for a vehicle including a support framework connectable to a wall of the vehicle, an upper litter support arm for holding a litter, the upper litter support arm connected to the support framework, a lower litter support arm for holding a litter, the lower litter support arm connected to the support framework, wherein the upper and lower litter support arms are connected to the support framework such that the upper and lower litter support arms are rotatable between a store position and a first support position and movable substantially horizontally between the first support position substantially adjacent to and near the support framework and a second support position substantially extended outwardly from the support framework.

Abstract: A bedstead for single beds, which can be assembled pairwise, adjacent to one another, into a double bed, particularly hotel beds, with a peripheral bed frame, which surrounds the region for accommodating at least one mattress and encircles the mattress in a lower part, is configured in such a way that the bed frame consists of least one narrow-walled metal plate which, at least at the longitudinal sides of the bedstead, is set so far to the inside with respect to the outline of the mattress(es), that its external surfaces do not protrude beyond the outline of the mattress, in order to make it possible that the mattress is held securely and stably on the bedstead and that the transition between the two mattresses is almost gapless in the assembled position.

Abstract: A therapeutic infant bed primarily intended for hospital use in the treatment and prevention of infant apnea. The bed comprises a hammock-forming sheet of material having one surface thereof covered with a soft tactile material. The hammock-forming sheet of material includes means for attaching a sonic device for generating audible sounds and mechanical vibrational impulses simulating a human heartbeat thereto and for causing the audible sounds and mechanical vibrational impulses to be transmitted through the sheet and the support structure to an infant disposed in the bed. A support structure is provided which has raised, spaced end members defining an open space therebetween. The hammock-forming sheet of material is horizontally suspended between the end members with the one surface facing up between the end members, within the open space, and above a surface upon which the support structure is sitting to form a hammock having spaced head and foot ends and spaced sides between which an infant can be placed.
