Abstract: A mini pad is provided with a chilled skim milk additive which is useful for reducing vulvar inflammation and lowering the acidity of a female's vulva which result from vaginal secretions which leak onto the tissue of the vulva. The mini pad can be provided with a self-contained cooling component which can be frozen or, when compressed and ruptured, will lower the temperature of the mini pad to provide the soothing cold. The skim milk can be incorporated into the mini pad in several different ways. The mini pad is useful for soothing and healing vulvar irritation, and it is mobile and can be easily used during normal daily activities without any problems whatsoever.

Abstract: A mattress protector having a top portion and a bottom portion configured to fasten together over the mattress and/or a mattress and box spring includes sides and ends extending from each of the top portion and the bottom portion. A fastener is also included on each of the top and bottom portions. The fastener includes a fastener assembly to seal the mattress against bed bugs and dust mites. When the top and bottom portions are placed around the mattress, and the fastener is secured, the entire mattress is surrounded by the mattress protector and protected from penetration by bed bugs and dust mites.

A removable panel, which includes a top layer of breathable fabric, a bottom layer of a fabric that forms a moisture barrier, and a batting layer, is placed on at least the upper deck of the mattress body. The removable panel is removably attached along the perimeter of the deck or decks by a fastener, such as a zipper. The panel can be removed from the deck for cleaning and folded and secured by the fastener in an inverted configuration, with the top layer facing outward.

Abstract: A sheet system having a primary sheet adapted to fit around a mattress and a secondary sheet for attaching atop the primary sheet. The primary sheet has a protective layer disposed between the top and bottom surfaces for providing moisture protection, and the secondary sheet has a protective layer disposed between the top and bottom surfaces for providing moisture protection. A plurality of attachment means connect the sheets together temporarily.

Abstract: Bedding material including a first fabric section manufactured from performance fabric and having a first and second side; and, a second fabric section attached to the first side of the first fabric section. Additionally, a third fabric section can be attached to the second side of the first fabric section. The first fabric section can be attached to the second fabric section through a flatlock stitch. The first fabric section can include a first zone and a second zone wherein the first zone contains different performance properties from the second zone and the first zone can have thermal or moisture wicking properties.

Abstract: The present invention is a two-ply convertible pillow blanket device with an internal pocket. The device can be used as a traditional blanket. Alternatively, if the user desires to use the device as a pillow, he or she simply unfastens the internal pocket, folds down the blanket toward the internal pocket, inverts and refastens the internal pocket with the folded portion of the blanket inside thereby forming the pillow. When the opening of the internal pocket is refastened it forms a pillow which is nearly identical to a traditional pillow.

Abstract: An encasement includes a cover, an opening provided at an end of the cover, a closure mechanism coupled to the cover for selectively closing the opening and an encasement seal provided at an end of the opening, the encasement seal including a base coupled to the cover and a flap, the flap being movable between an open position and a closed position; wherein the encasement seal provides an outer cover for a portion of the closure mechanism at the end.

Abstract: A detachable absorbent/waterproof pad is held in place by any convenient fastening mechanism on top of a sheet. The detachable absorbent/waterproof pad can be easily changed even with a bedridden person on the bed. The detachable absorbent/waterproof pad should have a design similar to the bed sheet so as to make it inconspicuous.

Abstract: A combination diaper changer and dispenser is provided, particularly for “on-the-go” diapering. A generally trifold structure of sheet material has an inside surface side and an outside surface side, and includes an intermediate panel serving as a rear cover when the structure is folded, a first end panel serving as a front cover when the structure is folded, and a second end panel serving as a diaper changing surface when unfolded. A bag dispenser compartment is secured to the intermediate panel on the inside surface side. The dispenser compartment includes a dispensing aperture for withdrawing bags.

Abstract: Provided is a method for using a patient rescue bag, particularly for extreme wet weather use. A substantially rectangular upper portion is sized wider than a substantially rectangular lower portion such that longitudinal edges of the upper portion are folded downwardly and inwardly so that an inner layer of the upper portion is releasably attached to an outer layer of the lower portion. A patient is placed within the patient rescue bag such that the patient rests upon the lower portion and the upper portion is above the patient. The longitudinal edges of the upper portion are folded downwardly and inwardly to extend under the longitudinal edges of the lower portion. In this manner, the exposed edges of the connection between upper and lower portions are not subject to accumulated rain or snow seeping into the patient chamber or being forced in by helicopter downdraft.

The table sheet preferably includes an impermeable layer with a slip-resistant and absorbent layer of foam material on its upper side and a distribution of slip-resistant material on its lower side. The lower side of the impermeable layer may itself be comprised of slip-resistant material. The table sheet is preferably fan-and-book-foldable into a compact yet rapidly unfoldable table sheet.

Abstract: A disposable comfort sheet has a waterproof layer and an absorbent layer, with adhesive strips applied to the waterproof layer along side edges. The sheet is adapted for use with a patient transfer device having upper and lower counter-rotating belts, and protects the upper belt against contamination. The patient transfer device may have registration marks for installation of the sheet, and indicator marks can be printed at predetermined locations on the waterproof layer for alignment with the registration marks. The sheet may include various means for indicating prior use by a patient, such as an ink pattern made of a heat-sensitive or moisture-sensitive ink. The sheet may further include a peel-away layer releasably bonded to the absorbent layer, with additional longitudinal adhesive strips applied to the side edges of the peel-away layer. The peel-away layer protects the lower belt against contamination from the sheet after a patient is delivered.

Abstract: The invention is in the field of child, human, or animal or unnatural protective covers for beds, furniture, car seats, floors, or any surface that needs to be protected from spills, or waste or bedwetting or accidental discharges of any type. The invention is washable, and has patterns that look nice and can be varied. In its preferred form, there are about five layers, with the top pleasing to the human eye and skin, which is quilted or otherwise attached to the second layer that is substantially absorbent such as a batting type of material that allows some liquid or other material to pass to the third set of liquid catching layers, which is typically a polymer having bonded thereto two cotton type fabric layers. All layers are bound together in some fashion.

Abstract: A low air loss universal coverlet includes a perforated top layer formed with a breathable waterproof material, a middle air permeable layer underlying the lop layer, and a bottom plenum layer underlying the middle air permeable layer. The bottom plenum layer includes air tunnels and air pockets. An air source is connected to the bottom plenum layer and supplies pressurized air to the air tunnels and the air pockets, where air flows from the air pockets, through the middle air permeable later, and through the top layer. The air pockets define tufts when filled with air that support a patient on the surface and prevent blocking of air flow.

Abstract: The Smart Zipper is designed to seal off all openings for bugs to escape from. The encasements come with a 3 sided zipper that come around and ends at the extended zipper part. The extended zipper is about 5 5/12 inches and has an extra lining inside to eliminate all spaces. Attached to the zipper extension is Velcro that folds in half to create a blockage in the path way. The concept in the design was to leave no passage way but eliminating all the free space and also add the seal wall for guaranteed protection.

Abstract: A temperature controlled stroller blanket for controlling the ambient temperature around a child in a stroller is disclosed. The blanket is configured to be placed beneath the child within the stroller compartment. The blanket is constructed with a plurality of sealable pockets. The pockets are sized to receive and hold temperature packs for producing heat or extracting heat (cooling). The blanket also preferably includes a plurality of slits configured to permit passage of the straps of the stroller harness system to secure the child in the stroller. The temperature packs act to warm or cool the ambient air around the child, creating a comfortable environment within the stroller compartment. Once the packs expire, they may be removed and recharged or replaced.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mattress cover. The mattress cover includes a top panel and a bottom panel, and a covering member. The top panel and the bottom panel are coupled to configure an enclosure having a side opening. Further, the covering member extends from at least one of the top panel and the bottom panel. The covering member is capable of being folded inwardly to releasably close the side opening of the enclosure.

The separable, absorbent panel includes another fastener portion, such as the other side of a zipper, so as to secure the absorbent panel to the securing layer. The first and second fastener portions are to be located on the side surface of the mattress at the top, outer circumference of the mattress when the securing layer is applied to the mattress. In this manner, the fastener cannot be easily accessed by an infant so as to prevent the infant from loosening and becoming entangled in the absorbent panel. However, the absorbent panel is easily removed for quick changes in case the occupant of the mattress such as a baby, soils the absorbent panel.

The top portion stacked underneath the base portion adds height if needed during the baby nursing time. The top portion also includes a second feeding surface for feeding the baby when additional height of the pillow without the boarder is desired. A strap is joined to the bottom portion for adjustably securing about a person's waist when the pillow is being used for breastfeeding or nursing a baby. The strap is adjustable for resting on a person's shoulder when transporting the pillow. A decorative binding strap holds the top portion to the bottom portion when transporting the pillow.

Abstract: The removable crib sheet is comprised of a moisture proof layer, an upper layer of an adsorbent material and a lower layer of an absorbent material. The moisture proof layer is comprised of a moisture proof sheet with a moisture absorbent sheet on each side of the moisture proof sheet which have been attached together through the use of ultrasonic technologies or through the use of adhesives which can withstand being cycled through a washer and a dryer. Adjacent the exterior surface of each absorbent layer there can be a soft material layer and/or a less soft material layer. The peripheral edge of the moisture proof layer, upper absorbent layer and the lower absorbent layer are attached together on the peripheral edge. The attaching can be by stitching, adhesive bonding or by heat bonding. The washable incontinence device for bedding, furniture cushions and pillow covers is comprised of cotton or cotton poly blend surface with an absorbent layer of poly rayon or poly with a waterproof vinyl or elastic type material sewn, bonded or laminated barrier back that is machine washable and reusable with elastic for fit.

Abstract: A disposable sheet has a draw sheet or chux attached thereto. Preferably, the chux is constructed from three layers, a bottom, middle and top layer. The top layer is moisture permeable and the middle layer is absorbent. The top layer of the chux and the sheet itself may be integrally connected. Fluids flow through the chux top layer to the middle layer. The chux bottom layer may be waterproof to prevent fluids from leaving the middle layer. A quilted pattern may be applied to the chux to for aesthetic reasons or to direct fluid flow.

Abstract: A cover and patient restraint for use with a radiologic imaging table having an upper surface on which a patient may lie, the cover having a central section corresponding generally to the length and width of the patient supporting surface of the table and a width substantially greater than that of the supporting surface so the opposite sides of the cover form flaps which extend beyond and depend from the upper surface of the table to prevent the collection on the table surface of liquids. The cover includes a pad of cushioning material inboard of the flaps to enhance the comfort of a patient lying on the cover. Restraining straps are coupled to anchor strips extending longitudinally of the cover adjacent opposite sides of the pad so as to enable the straps to be placed in overlying relation to the patient in any selected one of a large number of adjusted positions. The mattress protector utilizes, at least, two moisture proof layers with the top moisture proof layer being releasably attached to and removable from the bottom moisture proof layer. The top moisture proof layer may be easily removed from the mattress protector while someone is in the bed.

Abstract: A changing pad cover having two generally parallel vinylized/fabric layers spaced-apart and four upright sides connecting each spaced-apart layer. One or both ends of the cover may have its raised sides contoured-shaped on its upper edge to allow for the upper layer of the cover to conform to the contoured upper surface shape of the pad. The cover is secured at one end with a closure device such as a hook and loop fastener. The vinylized layer comprises a clear liquid impermeable layer, which is superimposed in a face-to-face relationship with an underlying fabric material. The fabric material has decorative visual art indicia depicted on the fabric material. The cover may optionally include a heating pad and/or a vibrating pad in an underlying relationship to the fabric material of the upper portion of the cover or integral to the fabric material. An alternative embodiment includes the top and sides of the cover only.
