For another example, a first zipper can connect the mattress core to a second zipper and the second zipper can connect a foundation to the first zipper. For another example, first and second zippers can be substantially vertically aligned.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a sectional warming blanket for patient warming having a structure comprising a first layer of material forming a bottom layer with openings to allow a profusion of air through the bottom layer, a second layer of material forming an upper layer wherein the upper layer is coupled to the bottom layer via a plurality of seals to form a plurality of interconnected air passageways, and an inlet located on the upper or bottom layers. In an embodiment, the sectional warming blanket further comprises an opening configured to receive a coupling device for coupling the sectional warming blanket to an additional sectional warming blanket. In another embodiment, the sectional warming blanket further comprises at least one outline formed from a portion of the structure, such that a section can be removed from the blanket and the blanket is re-sealed by a bonding mechanism along its periphery.

Abstract: An arm attached baby feeding pillow including a cushion assembly and a blanket assembly is disclosed herein. The cushion assembly includes a hollow cushion having an inner portion and an outer portion. The inner portion includes padding thereon and the outer portion includes a pillow. A user may insert their forearm into the hollow cushion to secure the arm attached baby feeding pillow to their body. Additionally, a baby's head is configured to rest comfortably on the pillow provided on the outer portion of the hollow cushion. Furthermore, the blanket assembly includes a blanket having four perimeter sides wherein the cushion assembly is attached to the blanket using hook and loop fasteners. The blanket additionally includes cloth loops to hold toys for a baby. A storage compartment is also provided to hold a bottle when feeding a baby.

At least a section of one of the fabric layers defining a flap configured to engage with a corresponding section of the duvet cover and cover the opening via fastening elements. At least some of the fastening elements can be color-coded to identify the size of the bed for which the duvet cover is to cover. One of the fabric layers and the fill layer can include fastening elements that engage one another to secure the fill layer in position within the cover assembly. The duvet cover hides the appearance of the fill layer in the pocket and covers the opening through which the fill layer is received.

Multiple layers make up the fabric arrangement include a top layer comprising a stretchable material and a second layer comprising a low friction material relative to the first layer. Covers with slick surfaces are selectively placed in engagement with each other between the mattress and the box spring or platform . One cover is provided with a slick and non-slick surface. The other cover may be the same as the first cover or may have slick surfaces on two sides. In an alternate embodiment of the invention, one cover may is a protective cover that encapsulates the entire mattress. In another alternate embodiment, one cover cooperates with a slick surface that is integrally provided on one or the other of the mattress or box spring or platform. In yet another alternate embodiment of the invention, slick surfaces are provided on both the mattress and the box spring or platform. The mattress is secured relative to the box spring or platform by removable fasteners in a normal mode of operation.

According to one embodiment, a cover for a bed component may include an opening that provides access to an interior of the cover and through which a bed component (e.g., a mattress or box-spring) may be inserted, a zipper coupled along the opening, a zipper mechanism slidable along the zipper to couple opposing teeth of the zipper to allow the opening to be zipped closed to enclose the bed component within the cover, a first flap foldable and securable over a distal end of the zipper, a second flap foldable and securable over the first flap, and a barrier material disposed between the second flap and the zipper for applying pressure to the zipper to minimize a gap between the zipper and the first flap.

Abstract: A bedding product having a colored hem and methods of making the same are disclosed. The bedding product can have a plain body attached to a colored hem which is made color fast so as to inhibit fading of the colored hem and/or prevent bleeding, crocking, and/or running of color from the colored hem onto the plain body during the useful life of the bedding product. The colored hem can be made color fast by a method including selecting a fabric, selecting dyes based on the fabric, preparing the fabric such as by mercerizing, applying the dyes, and treating the dyed fabric to remove unfixed dyes contained in the fabric to improve subsequent colorfastness.

Abstract: A bed accessory, for use with a bed having a mattress and a base for the mattress, includes a bed cover retainer having a first portion adapted to fit between the mattress and the base for the mattress. Abstract: A fitted blanket fits over a mattress and secures underneath to prevent the blanket from moving off the user while sleeping in bed. The blanket can include an elastic material on at least the underside corner edges thereof. Children and adults alike can stay warm at night as their blankets cannot fall away or off of them while sleeping. The fitted blanket may further include an opening and closing mechanism to allow for easy entry and exit, rather than having to untuck the blanket, as is the case with conventional blankets. The opening and closing mechanism may also provide an easy way to make the bed. The fitted nature of the blanket prevents blanket slippage or movement. The blanket may further include a cut-out region for pillow placement. The blanket can also include glow-in-the-dark elements or illuminated elements to light up the blanket at night.

A top sheet includes a plurality of apertures configured to accept at least one fastener along ends of a bottom sheet. The bottom sheet includes straps which extend from a substantially central portion along foot and head ends to engage with multiple sidewall points to secure the bottom sheet in place on top of a mattress. Together, the bottom sheet and top sheet substantially eliminate the possibility of bed clothing moving out of a stable position when the bed is in use, creating an adjustable personal fit for the bed occupant to improve sleep quality and comfort.

Abstract: A mattress cover is disclosed for redirecting shear on a patient's skin away from the areas of the body relatively more likely to develop decubitus ulcers. The mattress cover includes an upper portion designed to cover the topside of a mattress, and at least one shear transfer zone attached to an underside of the upper portion of the mattress cover. The shear transfer zone(s) may be made of a low shear material so as to create a low friction interface between the mattress and the mattress cover to reduce shear forces exerted by the mattress. Additionally, the shear transfer zone(s) may be arranged such that a large portion of the shear forces exerted by the mattress can be redirected to areas of the body that are relatively less likely to develop decubitus ulcers.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a bedding cover that allows for the easy and rapid insertion of a blanket or duvet and an easy, rapid method of making a bed using such a bedding cover. The bedding cover is durable with a type of closure that does not reduce the longevity of or damage the bedding cover despite multiple launderings. This construction allows the article to accommodate the contours of mattresses of varying thicknesses within each given peripheral mattress size classification.
