Abstract: A variable pressure blanket is disclosed. The variable pressure blanket includes a casing having a top fabric stitched to a bottom fabric to form a plurality of pockets having an interior volume. Discrete regions are arranged laterally across the casing to form distinct regions within the blanket. Each of the discrete regions have some of the pockets therein. Fill particles are disposed within the interior volumes of each of the pockets to generate a downward pressure. The pockets within one of the discrete regions have more fill particles than the pockets within the other discrete regions so that the one discrete region generates a greater downward pressure than the other discrete regions. The fill particles are non-insulative, while the top fabric and the bottom fabric may comprise an insulative material.

Abstract: A pillow cover which includes a pocket for receiving a pillow and blanket or sheet material extending away from the pocket to provide a combination pillow and blanket. This provides a comfortable sleeping object which allows for additional covering of the arms and/or body while also providing a sleeping surface for the user's head. The blanket or sheet material may end in a covering flap along one or more of its edges. These covering flaps provide a cavity for receiving a portion of the user's body, such as an arm. These flaps may further be secured on one end with a seam to form a partially closed pocket, or the flaps may be free along their ends.

Abstract: A cover for a shaped article, such as a pillow, is constructed by attaching first and second cover portions, each defined by a cover body having a peripheral edge. A first zipper portion is attached to the first cover portion and a second zipper portion is attached to second cover portion. The zipper fastener secure cover portions together, forming an interior storage pocket. One or more gussets are located along the peripheral edge of the corners of the cover portions. The gussets are formed by a first fold transverse to the peripheral edge and a second fold positioned perpendicular to the peripheral edge. The second fold creates an overlapping portion along the edge of the cover portion, which is secured to the peripheral edge.

Abstract: A flat bottom sheet is provided which is adapted for engagement to an underlying mattress. A plurality of biasing bands are configured to provide a biased engagement of four corners of the bottom sheet to four corners of the mattress and concurrently biasly hold side portions taught against the sides of the mattress. A top sheet may be included which is engaged to the bottom sheet and allows for concurrent engagement of both a top and bottom sheet to a mattress to which they are sized to engage.

Abstract: The invention relates to a contouring device for a seat base, backrest, or mattress. The device comprises a substrate having a first surface and an opposing second surface, the first and second surfaces each comprising a plurality of pockets adapted to receive one or more inserts therein. Inserts of various sizes and shapes can be placed within selected pockets of the device to provide a contoured surface that suits the needs of the user of the device. For example, the device can be adapted to provide contours that encourage a user to adopt a preferred posture when seated or lying down.

Abstract: An air distribution pad comprises an upper layer, a lower layer, and a spacer material located between the upper layer and the lower layer, the spacer material configured to allow air to pass therethrough. An air distributor is configured to distribute air to the spacer material, wherein the air distributor comprises a port configured to receive an air hose, wherein the port is directed laterally sideways from the air distributor. At least one joining structure is coupled to the upper layer and the lower layer, the at least one joining structure providing one or more channels formed through the spacer material in fluid communication with the air distributor. The one or more channels are configured to direct generally laterally flowing air from the port of the air distributor to a generally longitudinal direction along the at least one channel.

Abstract: An adjustable bed covering system includes a comforter having one or more connection strips for removably affixing pillows that may remain attached to the bed covering during the bed making process. The pillows have connecting strips compatible with the connecting strips found on the comforter. One or more pillows and/or the comforter may further include a flap for concealing or hiding the connecting strips. The bed covering may include a rigid rod or pole traversing the width of the comforter along its head end. The comforter may also be attached to mattress pockets that fit over the corners of a mattress in order to better align the comforter.

Abstract: A sleeping bag includes a top portion; and a bottom portion, with the bottom portion including a back-folded foot canopy therein configured to allow expansion when feet of a user are extended in an upward direction therewithin and providing room and maneuverability for the feet of the user. The sides of the foot canopy comprise walls formed by back folds each extending substantially across a width of the bottom portion and said walls and back folds are opposite and spaced apart from each other.

Abstract: A bedding blanket comprising a layer of memory foam sandwiched between two outer layers of fabric. Stitching secures the three sandwiched layers together to maintain them in close proximity to each other. Stitching is located along the outer edge, in the creation of a hem, and in a sufficient manner across the body of the blanket to adequately secure the three layers together. The inclusion of memory foam enhances the usefulness of the blanket with an improved warming effect, when serving as padding to sit or lie upon, and when serving as a comfort/security object.

Abstract: A patient transport device includes an inflatable torso support and one or more straps coupled to sides of the inflatable torso support. Each strap can be configured at least as a single loop. A strap concealment device can be coupled to the inflatable torso support to span a major face of the inflatable torso support. The strap concealment device can include a central panel spanning the major face and one or more side panels extending from a perimeter of the central panel. The one or more side panels can terminate at an edge distally disposed from the central panel at a bunch-gathering binding. The one or more side panels can be selectively foldable between a first position concealing the inflatable torso support and some or all of the one or more straps and a second position exposing the inflatable torso support and the one or more straps.

Abstract: A bed covering product, system and a process of manufacturing such product is disclosed to form a one-piece, multi-panel upper and lower sheet assembly. The lower sheet fits on a mattress in a removable manner and the upper sheet is connected to the lower sheet through expandable flaps of material made from elastic, stretchable material. An expansion flap zipper runs between the sides of the upper and lower sheets so as to close the assembly when it is zipped, whereby the upper sheet is pulled tightly against the lower sheet but when it is opened by unzipping the upper sheet is allowed to move away from the lower sheet to the extent of the expandable flaps of material. Another release zipper is disposed adjacent the expansion flap zipper and interior for allowing laundering the upper and lower sheets separately.

Abstract: A pet protective bedding that includes a flat top, a flap, and a bed skirt. The flat top is sized to cover or approximately cover the top surface of a bed, i.e. the top surface of a mattress and conventional bedding. The flap is integrally attached to flap top at the top end, and is sized and configured for an upper portion of the flap to be folded over and on top of one or more pillows on the bed for encasing the pillows in order to protect the pillows from exposure to any production of pet soiling. The bed skirt is integrally attached at opposite sides and bottom end of the flat top, and is sized and configured to hang down from the flat top and adjacent to the bed mattress and box spring to the floor. A pocket at the bottom end of the flat top is sized and configured for engaged receipt of a pet or, in the alternative, a portion of a person's legs and feet.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bedding article which provides a structured construction for filling with filler material. Specifically, the present invention is directed to a bedding article that incorporates a number of pattern arrangements. The pattern arrangements allow for the sequestration of high performance filler material to areas of maximum effectiveness. Likewise, the pattern arrangement allows for standard performance material to be used in areas where user interaction is likely to be minimal, in order to minimize the amount of material needed in manufacture.

Abstract: A pillowcase with storage includes a pillow portion and a storage portion extending from an opening of the pillow portion. The pillow portion includes a top panel and a bottom panel coupled together to form a pillow pocket, having an opening to receive a pillow. The storage portion defines at least one storage compartment and internally attaches to the pillow portion, within its opening. The storage portion can optionally include a closure to retain its contents. The storage portion can be configured to hold electronic devices, books, medications, reading glasses, phones, and so forth, in a manner that does not interfere with the use of a pillow inside the pillow portion.

Abstract: A pillow assembly that utilizes a hood to inhibit certain movements of the head. The pillow assembly utilizes a pillowcase having a top surface and a bottom surface. The pillowcase can be stuffed to become a pillow or can be used to cover a preexisting pillow. A hood structure is sewn onto the pillowcase. The hood structure is sewn onto the pillowcase along a single main seam. The sewing of the hood to the pillowcase along a single seam creates features in the hood structure that are beneficial to the comfortable restraint of the user's head. Furthermore, the hood structure has a forward opening, a hood apex, and a rear seam that extends from the apex down to the single main seam. The rear seam also helps to reinforce the hood structure so it can better prevent unintentional movements of the user's head.

Abstract: A bed top covering, includes a top portion; a second portion; and a bottom portion. The second portion includes a back-folded, electrically heated, foot canopy therein configured to allow the feet of a user to be extended in an upward direction therewithin and providing room and maneuverability and warmth for the feet of the user. At least one external device may be provided. The external device may be capable of being placed beneath the bed and is configured to be activated by the hand-held controller unit. At least one substantially hollow air-through member may be provided which is configured to facilitate airflow between underneath the bed covers of the bed and above the bed covers of the bed. A supplemental bed cover may be provided that is configured to be placed on the bed.

Abstract: An improved covering is described for use with a mattress. The improved covering comprises a top sheet securely or removably secured to a bottom sheet. Through the use of the improved covering, the time required for attending to the task of making a bed is reduced and the difficulty of such task is decreased. In addition, using the improved covering of the present disclosure, individuals such as, but not limited to children and those with difficulty attending to such a task, may now complete the task with an aesthetically pleasing result.

Abstract: A device for securing a pillow or other support to a bed includes a pocket configured to receive a pillow insert, a tail comprising a proximal end and a distal end with the tail connected to the pocket at the proximal end. The device further includes a retention element located near the distal end of the tail. The retention element is further configured to retain the pillow insert relative to the bed by tucking the retention element under the mattress of the bed.

Abstract: A blanket with multiple functionality and a system for organizing articles with the blanket is disclosed and described. This multiple functionality may comprise the blanket functioning to provide comfort and protection from the elements to a user. In various exemplary embodiments, this multiple functionality may comprise the blanket functioning to permit removable attachment of the blanket to various objects, such as to strollers and to child-carriers by an edge-attachment-means. In various exemplary embodiments, this multiple functionality may comprise the blanket functioning to permit holding of various articles in at least one pocket. The at least one pocket may be in direct communication with the blanket and may be integral with the blanket. In some embodiments, the at least one pocket may further comprise a means for removably tethering the various articles to the at least one pocket, such that loss of the article may be mitigated.

A fastening means with a hook is adjusted to open the opening before inserting a mattress into the compartment. The mattress is secured in position by adjusting the fastening means to a closed position. The hook is used to clip the expandable means and the fastening means onto the side wall.

The scarf includes a portion of material having a length and a width, opposite first and second ends and opposite top and bottom edges. The width of the scarf is sufficient so that its top edge hides the top edge of a pillow on the made bed, and the bottom edge hides the bottom edge of the pillow on the made bed. The scarf may be used to cover up the top edge of a bed sheet, blanket or bedspread on a made bed so as to hide said top edge of the bed sheet, blanket or bedspread.

Abstract: The embodiments described herein generally relate to a system and method for joining a detachable fabric sheet to a cover through the use of one or more corresponding fastening or temporary joining mechanisms located on the cover and fabric sheet. In an embodiment, the cover includes one or more mechanisms to align and/or secure a filling material to the cover, as well as one or more fastening or temporary joining mechanisms for attaching the detachable fabric sheet to the cover. Methods and systems are provided for detachably joining the fabric sheet to the cover, for creating a multi-layer unit of a cover and detachable sheets, as well as for aligning and securing the filler to the cover. A method is also provided for manufacturing the integrated bedding cover system.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for holding a pillow on an upwardly extending end of a mattress having a single sheet of material having a upper end and a lower end along with a first side and a second side having an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower end is folded back upon itself to form an enclosure so that the upper surfaces of the folded section are adjacent to each other having a pillow disposed in the enclosure. The upper end is wrapped around the upwardly extended end of the mattress, using straps to hold the upper end in place.

Abstract: An article of bedding, such as a comforter or a duvet cover, includes an integrated pet pouch into which pets can sleep on top of the bed sheets of their owner. The pouch can include a detachable and washable liner for easy clean up. The pouch also encourages the pet to sleep safely in a designated spot.
