Hydrogen Sulfide Or A Salt Thereof Is Also Reacted With The Organic Compoud Patents (Class 508/324)
  • Patent number: 11396708
Abstract: A water soluble metalworking concentrate is a combination of one or more amines; one or more ferrous corrosion inhibitors; one or more phosphate esters; one or more ether carboxylates; a ricinoleic acid condensate; one or more lubricating agents; deionized water and, optionally, one or more non-ferrous corrosion inhibitors. In use, the concentrate is diluted to a concentration of approximately 5% to approximately 10%. In use, the metalworking fluid exhibits excellent lubricity, low foam generation, emulsion stability, protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, biostatic stability and environmental compatibility.

  • Patent number: 10131860
Abstract: The present invention provides a dialkyl polysulfide which can be suitably used as an extreme pressure additive that can be added to a lubricant in a wide range of amounts, that enables effective formation of a film of a metal sulfide on a metal surface, and that is less likely to cause corrosion of the metal surface. In particular, provided is a dialkyl polysulfide containing compounds represented by General Formula (1) (where R1 and R2 each represent an alkyl group, and n is an integer from 1 to 6), wherein the total content of a compound in which n in General Formula (1) is 2 and a compound in which n in General Formula (1) is 3 is in the range of 80 to 100 mass % relative to the entire amount of the compounds represented by General Formula (1).

  • Patent number: 9468600
Abstract: The present invention is directed to compositions and processes for their use that allow for the delivery of physiologically active agents, using a unique composition containing glycerin and triglycerides in the proper ratio. The composition functions by acting both as a humectant and occlusive agent attracting water, returning the skin surface to a smooth state and holding water and physiologically active agents in place. The presence of both hydrophobic and hydrophilic components of the current invention solubilize the physiologically actives into the complex matrix, keeping the actives on the skin and allowing them to penetrate the skin over time, thus delivering the actives to the blood stream.

  • Patent number: 6642187
Abstract: This invention relates to a lubricating composition comprising a major amount of an oil of lubricating viscosity, (A) at least one organic polysulfide comprising at least about 90% dihydrocarbyl trisulfide, from about 0.1% up to about 8% dihydrocarbyl disulfide, and less than about 5% dihydrocarbyl higher polysulfides, and (B) at least one overbased metal composition, at least one phosphorus or boron compound, or mixtures of two or more thereof. The invention also relates to concentrates and greases containing the above combination. The invention also relates to methods of making the organic polysulfide.

  • Patent number: 6413917
Abstract: The present invention provides a sulfur-based extreme-pressure additive that is completely soluble in water without using a surfactant, and has satisfactory odor and hue. In addition, the present invention provides a cutting liquid and grinding liquid having superior defoaming property and rust preventive characteristics, while also having high load resistance and lubrication performance comparable to cutting oils and grinding oils of the prior art. The above objects are achieved by an extreme-pressure additive comprising the salt of a condensation product of a sulfurized hydroxy-unsaturated fatty acid, the condensation product having a sulfur content of 8 to 15% by weight (mass), color of 6 or less, and acid value of 80 to 200, and a grinding liquid comprising that extreme-pressure additive and water.
