Patent number: 8822552Abstract: A spray can product capable of preventing leakage where used or stored in a tilted or an inverted position, and keeping good safety and liquid retention even where a flammable liquefied gas is used. The spray can product is formed by filling a spray can having an ejection opening with a liquefied gas and an absorbing body for retaining liquid, and the absorbing body is composed of an assembly of cellulose fibers containing at least 45 mass % of fine cellulose fibers having a fiber length of 0.35 mm or less. The absorbing body compressed into a block-shaped configuration corresponding to that of the spray can is accommodated within the spray can while defining a space on the side of an ejection opening, and a lid-like member is provided between the space and the absorbing body to protect a surface of the absorbing body in a gas permeable manner.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2009Date of Patent: September 2, 2014Assignees: NKK Co., Ltd., Showa Denko Gas Products Co., Ltd., Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshifumi Hatanaka, Masaki Okada, Kiyotaka Miyata, Teruo Miura

Patent number: 7745497Abstract: An electrically neutral composition in the form of a water-in-oil or an oil-in-water emulsion is imparted with a unipolar electrostatic charge on spraying from an aerosol spray device by incorporating into the composition a non-ionic surfactant and at least one polar or ionic or aromatic or linearly conjugated compound. The amount of the polar or ionic or aromatic or linearly conjugated compound included in the composition is about 0.01 to about 80% w/w based on the non-ionic surfactant, but is such that the theoretical conductivity of the emulsion is less than the bulk conductivity of the emulsion.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2002Date of Patent: June 29, 2010Assignees: Reckitt Benckiser (UK) Limited, Reckitt Benckiser (Australia) Pty LimitedInventors: Duncan Roger Harper, Neale Harrison, John Douglas Morgan, John Howard Clint, Mario Abela

Patent number: 7709445Abstract: An aqueous suspension, stable in physiological medium, of nanoparticles for delivering active principles such as insulin. The delivery particles are based on a three-block copolymer: polyethylene glycol/hydrophilic polyaminoacid/hydrophobic polyaminoacid. These three-block copolymers can be associated with an active principle without denaturing it, and perform a controlled and long-term release of the active principle in vivo, and thus provide the active principle with a very prolonged release. Also disclosed is a powder form solid from which are derived the delivery particles, the preparation of the powder-form solid, a suspension of delivery particles based on the three-block copolymer, and pharmaceutical specialties obtainable from the delivery particles filled with active principle.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2002Date of Patent: May 4, 2010Assignee: Flamel TechnologiesInventors: GĂ©rard Soula, Nathan Bryson

Patent number: 7405242Abstract: An aerosol composition which is prepared from a biliquid foam, an aqueous phase and a propellant, and wherein an oil soluble functional material is incorporated into the biliquid foam during preparation to enable this material to be more readily incorporated into the composition. The aerosol composition can be contained in a pressurized aerosol can and can be a polish, an air freshener, a repellant. a pre- or post-shave preparation, a shaving preparation or a follicle softener.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2003Date of Patent: July 29, 2008Assignee: Drug Delivery Solutions LimitedInventors: Anthony Fred Mercurio, Derek Alfred Wheeler
