  • Publication number: 20010011443
Abstract: A plurality of engaging pieces each formed of washer (35) for instance are fixed to the rear surface of a building board (30). A plurality of elongated fixtures (10), each provided at the lower end thereof with an engaging tongue (20a) and at the upper end thereof with an engaging region (12a) designed to be engaged with the engaging tongue (20a), are engaged with the engaging pieces. The fixtures (10) thus engaged are directly fixed to the posts (1) or studs (2) of a building. Since each fixture (10) is provided with a rising portion (12), a ventilation space (Sc) is secured between the framework of the building and the rear surface of a building board (30). The coupling between upper and lower building boards (30) can be effected through the linkage between a couple of fixtures (10). Since the engaging tongue (20a) is made separable from the building board (30), the building boards (30) can be transported for instance without becoming bulky.

Tightening members are then coupled to the support members for operatively compressing the entire wall structure into a compact package.

  • Patent number: 5553434
Abstract: The present invention has an arrangement that two ends of a rectangular metal plate are turned up and the two ends are caused to approach at the central portion of the rectangular metal plate while maintaining a small gap so that a flat-pipe-type connection plate is formed, and the ends of elongated metal plates are slightly bent downwards to form insertion members which are inserted into the upper central gap of the connection plate from two directions. The thus-arranged structure causes rain in the connection portion to enter through the gap between the ends of the elongated plates corresponding to the upper central gap of the connection plate. Rain allowed to enter flows downwards through the flat-pipe-like connection plate. Since the lower portion of the connection plate is positioned upper than the lower elongated plate, rain is discharged onto the lower following elongated plate.

  • Patent number: 5509769
Abstract: A barbed light weight concrete fastener and plate comprises a fastener with a head and two bendable legs. Each leg has a barb and a bump protruding therefrom. The fastener is pushed through a base ply and into a roof deck of cementitious material. The legs diverge to capture a concrete wedge between them. The barbs dig into the concrete wedge to increase resistance to a pullout force. The bumps create pressure points with the cementitious material that further resist pullout. A plate may be interposed between the fastener and the base ply. The plate has a number of openings therethrough of relatively large area. The openings are filled with plugs of asphalt that adhere to the base ply. Pulling of the base ply is resisted by the plate acting against the shear areas between the asphalt plugs and the base ply.

  • Patent number: 5343668
Abstract: An anchorage device for supporting flat cover members for openings in building structures. The device includes two substantially similar stepped-plate members that include each an anchorage section and a supporting section. One of the stepped-plate members may in fact be flat or substantially flat, depending on the termination of the building openings to be protected. The anchorage section includes an opening and a cooperating fastening assembly for readily and removably mounting the device to the building structure with minimal aesthetic detraction or structural alteration. These sections define a plane each and these planes are kept in a spaced apart and parallel relationship with respect to each other by a step wall member. The supporting sections then are kept separate for their respective plates and the separation is sufficient to cooperatively receive the flat cover members that are used to protect the openings.
