Roller Patents (Class 53/325)
  • Patent number: 7533590
Abstract: Screwing and rolling head for the application of pre-threaded caps on containers, comprising a first support, designed to be moved with a helical motion, a second support, which is mobile with respect to the first support in a longitudinal direction and is fixed in rotation with respect to the first support, a device for screwing caps, fixed in an axial direction with respect to the second support and rotatable with respect to the second support, a torque-limiter device, connected between the screwing device and the second support, and at least one oscillating arm, which carries a rolling element and is articulated to the second support about a transverse axis. The device for screwing caps comprises a gripper, which is mobile between an open position and a closed position and is designed to grip a cap along a side wall thereof, the movements of opening and closing of the gripper being controlled by a control rod, which is mobile in an axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20090044497
Abstract: A packaging apparatus forms a completely sealed composite package. The apparatus employs a continuous process which involves conditioning a surface of the package substrate. The substrate includes an adhesive coating that can be reactivated by infra-red radiation and adheres the package substrate to a juxtaposed face of a second surface. The apparatus uses rollers (102, 104, 118, 120) to compress the two surfaces together to complete the construction process.

  • Patent number: 5471813
Abstract: A ball placer device is provided for containers in a capping machine, which consists of a vertical tube assembly mounted to the capping machine to receive a series of balls therein. A feed assembly for the balls is retained above the vertical tube assembly on the capping machine, so that the balls can enter into the vertical tube assembly in a stacked relationship. A conveyor is to carry a series of the containers in upstanding positions under the vertical tube assembly. Each container is of the type having a neck with a collar thereon. A mechanism is for placing each ball from the vertical tube assembly upon each collar on the neck of each container, one at a time, as the containers are carried under the vertical tube assembly by the conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4594838
Abstract: In a beverage vendor, a cup capping mechanism in which a cap is removed from a remote location to a stationary cup station, placed on the cup and then pressed down onto the rim of the cup by a sliding motion over the upper surface of the cup beginning at one side and progressing to the other. A locking mechanism is provided which prevents opening of the cup station delivery door during the capping operation.

  • Patent number: 4519859
Abstract: This relates to a system for reheating adhesive bonding an end unit to a can body under controlled conditions and then further telescoping the end unit relative to the can body to assure proper adhesive flow relative to the can body. An end unit has been previously applied to a can body and is bonded thereto by a hot melt adhesive which has partially set. The end unit is not in its fully telescoped position. The adhesive is reheated to a temperature wherein the adhesive has the desired fluidity, after which the adhesive is maintained at this temperature and the end unit is moved to its fully telescoped position with a bead of the adhesive flowing over and encapsulating the raw edge of the can body.
