Including Provision For Pleat And Fold Of Cover Patents (Class 53/372.7)
  • Patent number: 7987651
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for enclosing bales of materials with at least four substantially rectilinear sides in flexible sheet material tubes having one open end into which the bales are inserted leaving the tube open end projecting loosely beyond the end of the bale utilizing structure temporarily placed inside the tube open end tending to resist inward movement of said tube such that the tube end may be formed into pleats at the four corners of the end of the bale and structure external of the tube cooperating to form and fold the pleats against the bale end surface where they are affixed.

  • Patent number: 7955242
Abstract: A folding unit for producing sealed packages of pourable food products from respective packs, each having a main portion folded into a desired shape, and opposite end portions to be folded to form respective folded ends of a relative finished package. The unit has a first folding station, in turn having a first retaining mechanism for securing each pack by a relative first end portion, and a first folding mechanism for folding a relative second end portion of the pack. The unit also has a second folding station located downstream from the first folding station in the traveling direction of the packs, a second retaining mechanism for securing each pack by the relative folded second end portion, and a second folding mechanism for folding the relative first end portion.

  • Patent number: 7322162
Abstract: The bag top folder and labeler includes bottom and side conveyor assemblies for conveying a filled bag to extend between a pair of folder subassemblies wherein, with the bag top extending above the subassemblies, a second subassembly is operable to in cooperation with a first subassembly reversely fold the bag top relative to the second subassembly center folder and flap tuckers to form a generally Z-shaped bag top closure including ears extending outwardly in opposite directions and elevator mechanism for elevating the bag relative to the first subassembly to compensate for different densities of product in filled bags. Thereafter labeler mechanism applies labels to the folded bag top including to the ears, folds the ears downwardly along the end walls and wipes the labels to adhere to the ears and the bag front and rear end walls below the ears.

  • Patent number: 6226964
Abstract: A method for making bags out of plastic material includes the cutting of individual portions from a roll of a tubular element and the simultaneous making of a bottom seam crosswise to the tubular element itself. Each portion is set up as to form a bag with a filling opening at the opposite end of the bottom seam. The extremities of the bottom of the bag are pressed down so as to form angular sections which are sealed by means of seams made crosswise to the bottom seam and folded back against the external surface of the bag. The filling opening is sealed by a crosswise top seam after the bag has been filled with the relevant products. Angular sections are then defined at the extremities opposite to the top of the bag. The angular sections are sealed by means of seams made crosswise to the top seam and folded back against th external surface of the bag.
