  • Patent number: 10807821
Abstract: In a film supplying device in a package machine, a film drawn out from a film roll is fed downstream between a drive roll and a driven roll. The drive roll is rotatably supported by a first support fixed to a main frame. A second support for rotatably supporting the driven roll is supported on the main frame so as to be rotatable. The second support is movable between a sandwiched position where the driven roll approaches the drive roll to be aligned therewith to hold the film therebetween, and a retract position in which the driven roll is spaced apart from the drive roll.

Abstract: In order to produce tobacco bags from sheet material having a pocket and a fold-over flap and a tape as closure means, the tape is applied (as are possibly further applications) to a continuous sheet-material web (22) for producing the bags by transversely directed severing cuts. The procedure here is such that the sheet-material web (22) is provided in the first instance, by folding, with a continuous web leg and then with transversely directed connecting seams in the region of the web leg, and thereafter the tape is applied to the sheet-material web prepared in this way. Bags (10) provided with a tape are then severed from the sheet-material web. The tapes are applied to the sheet-material web (22) in the region of an application station (30). Following this, the bags (10) are severed in a severing station (27).

Abstract: Large cylindrical bales of hay, straw, or other forage or fodder are usually wrapped with a filament-type product, typically twine, or a sheet-type product, typically netwrap material, after a bale has reached a predetermined size. A method and apparatus are disclosed that permits the bale to continue to form during part of the wrapping process. A delay occurs between the initiation of the wrapping step and the alarm for the operator to stop the forward movement of the baler. By inserting the wrap material to an entry throat of the baler, new crop material may be added to the bale while the leading edge of the wrap material travels around the bale. The operator is notified only when the feed of additional crop material needs to be stopped for the wrapping operation to conclude. The present invention is applicable to the use of sheet or filament wrapping materials for binding round bales.

Abstract: In a packaging apparatus, when replacing a preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard (wrapping material) with a subsequent single-faced corrugated fiberboard, a draw-out roller is operated such that the preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard is drawn out to its trailing end. At this time, a reserve roller, around which the single-faced corrugated fiberboard is trained, is moved such that the single-faced corrugated fiberboard, which has been drawn out, is accumulated thereat. Then, the trailing end of the preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard and a leading end of the subsequent single-faced corrugated fiberboard are joined together at a joining device. In this way, the preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard can be used up until its final end, and thus there is no waste of the single-faced corrugated fiberboard.

Abstract: An assembly is disclosed for unrolling and pre-stretching stretch film as the film is fed from the assembly to goods/products to be wrapped or packed. The assembly comprises a first member for controlling the unwinding of the film from a spool, and a cutter arranged downstream of the control member for lacerating the film, the assembly further comprising a second member, downstream of the cutter, for preventing return of the film in a direction opposite to that in which the film leaves the assembly. A cutting procedure, according to another aspect of the present invention, comprises the steps of: following an initial stop of the film during which it is cut, the first, control member is unlocked so as to permit the laceration zone of the film to pass downstream of the second, return preventing member. The film then comes to a new stop to complete the cut following relative motion between the assembly and the goods/products to be wrapped or packed.
