Abstract: Only a bottle properly preliminarily heated is sterilized by hydrogen peroxide. Temperature inspection to the bottle is performed while travelling the bottle. During the inspection, a bottle of which temperature does not reach a predetermined temperature is removed and a bottle of which temperature reaches the predetermined temperature is continuously traveled, hydrogen peroxide condensed mist ? is blown toward a mouth portion 1a of the bottle by a spray tube 59 disposed at a predetermined position, and hot air is blown into the bottle from the nozzle while the nozzle 64 following the mouth portion of the bottle. According to such operation, only the bottle properly heated can be sterilized by the hydrogen peroxide, Thereafter, beverage fills the bottle, which is then sealed.

Abstract: A method for producing a secondary package, comprising a separate lid and tray, for encasing primary packages, the method comprises folding the lid from a first blank, comprising long side areas along a length of the blank and, at each of opposite short ends of the blank, two cuts are made forming two side flaps and a side cover, separated by the cuts, and folding a tray from a second blank, comprising side areas along a length of the blank. The method comprises folding the side areas of the first blank to form long lid sides; placing the second blank onto a substantially horizontal support rail, between operation flaps; thereby folding the side areas of the second blank to form long tray sides; loading the tray with primary packages; applying the lid to the primary packages, with the long lid sides between the primary packages and the long tray sides.

Abstract: A method is provided for preventing, minimizing, and/or eliminating the migration of mineral oils from paper food packaging into packaged food. The method can include adding a copper-containing oxidase enzyme, such as a laccase enzyme, to a paper pulp from which the paper food packaging is to be formed. The migration of mineral oils originating from residual inks in recycled old corrugated containers and old newsprint, is particularly suppressed, including the migration of C10-C25 fractions of aromatic mineral oil hydrocarbons and of saturated mineral oil hydrocarbons.

Abstract: This invention discloses a leak proof disposable container, comprising of a bottom portion composed of expandable thermoplastic resin beads and a lidding film, for containing non-carbonated drinks or food products that do not require heating prior to consumption. The inventive container eliminates the use of polypropylene and polystyrene snap-on lids currently used for cups and containers. The snap-on lid is replaced with a thermoplastic lidding film, a leak proof seal is formed between the lidding film and upper flange of the bottom portion. Replacement of the snap-on lid with lidding film, reduces the weight of the disposable lidding material by 74 percent. Through the appropriate selection of materials, one can produce a leak proof container that is 100 percent recyclable under the #6 PS (polystyrene) symbol.

Abstract: The invention relates to a container (10) for a bulk product, comprising a housing (12) and a rubber-elastic force-generating body (24) protruding into the housing and having a filling space for receiving the bulk product. The force-generating body has a closed first longitudinal end and is suspended relative to the housing in the area of an opposite second longitudinal end. When being filled, the force-generating body expands radially and axially in the housing in such a manner that, when a partially filled state is reached, said body makes contact with a first wall part (16) of the housing (12) radially bounding the expansion, and when filling is continued, the first longitudinal end approaches a second wall part (18) of the housing axially bounding the expansion as the axial enlargement of the area of contact between the force-generating body and the first wall part increases.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a liquid container. The liquid container includes a container portion, a supply opening through which the liquid inside the container portion is supplied outside of the liquid container, and a detection member for detecting an amount of the liquid in the container portion. The container portion is partitioned into a first, second, third, and fourth chambers, which are downstream from each other in this order with respect to flow of the liquid from the container portion toward the supply opening. The fourth container chamber is inside the third container chamber, but partitioned from the third container chamber by a first sheet member. The detection member is inside the fourth container chamber. The method includes forming an injection opening in communication with the container portion at the fourth container chamber or downstream from the fourth container chamber and injecting liquid into the injection opening.
