Abstract: Methods for placing apertures in a film material wrapping of soap bars so that the soap bar fragrance can be readily detected outside of the packaged soap bar. The apertures can be shaped apertures or slit apertures. The apertures can be placed in the film material at the time of the decoration of the film material or at the time of feeding the film material to be placed around the soap bar. The apertures can be any surface of the wrapped soap bar, but should be of an overall surface area to emit not more than 60% of the fragrance or 50% of the moisture content of the soap bar over a period of 6 months. In addition the surface of the film material adjacent the soap bar may contain a coating of the fragrance of the soap bar, or in the alternative the surface of an inner insert material such as a stiffener can contain a coating of the fragrance of the soap bar.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a multi-layer insulation (MLI) composite material includes a first thermally-reflective layer and a second thermally-reflective layer spaced from the first thermally-reflective layer. At least one of the first or second thermally-reflective layers includes bandgap material that is reflective to infrared electromagnetic radiation. A region between the first and second thermally-reflective layers impedes heat conduction between the first and second thermally-reflective layers. Other embodiments include a storage container including a container structure that may be at least partially formed from such MLI composite materials, and methods of using such MLI composite materials.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a bale wrap mechanism is configured to wrap a bale with a pre-tensioned wrap material and include a wrap material dispensing mechanism and a wrap material tensioning mechanism. The dispensing mechanism is configured to provide wrap material to a rotating bale in a baling chamber, and the tension mechanism is configured to pretension the wrap material by manipulating the speed of the meshwrap supply relative to the speed of the rotating bale in accordance with a predetermined scheme. The tensioning mechanism may include a brake to manipulate a material wrap payoff roll and a controller to manipulate the brake. A user interface may be used to provide a desired scheme to the controller, such as a desired tension.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a sterile barrier system composed of: a minimum of one external 100% polypropylene SMS sheet with hydrophobic treatment (water repellent), providing a microbial barrier for bacterial and viral filtration efficiency (BFE and VFE), which meets the requirements of non aqueous propagation of microorganisms or recontamination of the packaging; and a minimum of one internal 100% polypropylene SMS sheet with hydrophilic treatment, that absorbs the excess vapor from inside the packaging and dissipates it by controlled porosity in the autoclave vacuum, under high temperature. This combined hydrophilic and hydrophobic system enhances effectively the performance of the drying cycle in the autoclave, obtaining dry packaging after the sterilization cycle, eliminating the risks of recontamination, preserving the sterility of the packages and reducing costs in the operation.
