Abstract: A fat or grease filter for a ventilator or exhaust hood is provided, and includes a cartridge assembly that is removably attached to a tube assembly. The cartridge assembly includes at least one helix assembly that is received in an associated tube of the tube assembly. The at least one helix assembly located inside the associated tube defines a first helical air path between an inlet located at an upper front side of the tube assembly and a bottom equalizer manifold connected to the associated tube, and a second helical air path between the equalizer manifold and an outlet located at an upper back side of the tube assembly. The equalizer manifold directs the air flow from the first to the second helical air path. Centrifugal force created within the first and second helical air paths causes fatty particles to separate from the airstream and stick inside the tube.

Abstract: The invention is related to a turbulence device used for air filtration system. The turbulence device comprises a porous plate and a spoiler. The porous plate has a plural number of holes located on one side of the spoiler. The spoiler has a square hole. The turbulence device in the invention is used for an air filtration system and its testing to increase even mixing of the air and a plural number of fine particles in the air and increase the efficiency for the air filtration system. In the testing of the air filtration system, even mixing of the air and the fine particles can improve the accuracy of the air filtration system and avoid the use of unqualified air filtration system to harm the environment.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a flow-restricting filter capable of restricting intentionally the flow of the combustion gas from a solid propellant gas generator to an external member (for example, the nozzle) to rise up combustion pressure resulting in increasing a burning rate of the solid propellant and in reducing a burning area of the solid propellant and the overall size of the gas generator. The flow-restricting filter according to the present invention comprises a hollow member having a plurality of through holes formed thereon; and a flow-blocking plate provided at one end of the hollow member to form a space having one closed end and another opened end in the hollow member.

Abstract: A coalescing filter assembly having an upstream chamber, a downstream chamber, and a weephole connecting the upstream chamber to the downstream chamber. The downstream chamber includes a coalescing filter to filter a flow of gases. A passageway may be implemented between the upstream chamber and the downstream chamber to accommodate the flow of gases therethrough, while the weephole enables liquid to seep from the upstream chamber to the downstream chamber. In this manner, the weephole reduces liquid pooling in the upstream chamber without substantially compromising the efficiency or performance of the coalescing filter. A drain may connect to the downstream chamber to drain liquid collected therein.
