Abstract: An air cleaner may include a filter element and a housing defining an inner space. The inner space may be divided by the filter element into a dust-side air chamber on an upstream side and a clean-side air chamber on a downstream side. Air introduced into the housing may be dischargable via an outlet pipe, to which an air flow sensor is attachable, connected to the clean-side air chamber. The outlet pipe may extend in a direction different from a normal to the filter element. A plurality of ribs may be disposed on an inner surface of a clean-side portion of the housing that defines the clean-side air chamber. • Patent number: 11492795
Abstract: A rapidly deployable cleanroom is constructed from multiple modular building sections that are side-by-side and have similarly sized lengths, as well as user-accessible panels in multiple of them for air, water, power, networking, and other utilities at a similar internal location along their lengths. The utility panels can be standardized such that each panel is substantially identical to one another. The modular building sections can be drawn together using tension cables within lateral hollow extruded structural tubes beneath and/or above the cleanroom, the tension system utilizing jackscrews to pull everything tight. Because the utility panels are at the same longitudinal location in the building sections, the joined structure and resulting open space “ballroom” style cleanroom has the utility panels aligned with each other inside the cleanroom.

Abstract: This invention relates to an in-situ cleaning fixture for mist removal separator vane assemblies. The cleaning fixture includes an injection chamber with an inlet and a perforated plate which extends horizontally, substantially over the length of the mist removal separator vane assembly. A cleaning fluid source is connected to the injection chamber during a cleaning process. The injection chamber is designed to receive the cleaning fluid, pass the cleaning fluid through the holes formed in the plate, downwardly along a plurality of vanes in the mist removal separator vane assembly and into the drain trough. The in-situ cleaning fixture facilitates removal of scale build-up from the mist removal separator vane assembly and thereby restores the efficacy of the vanes.

Abstract: Systems and methods for treating a fluid with a body are disclosed. Various aspects involve treating a fluid with a porous body. In select embodiments, a body comprises ash particles, and the ash particles used to form the body may be selected based on their providing one or more desired properties for a given treatment. Various bodies provide for the reaction and/or removal of a substance in a fluid, often using a porous body comprised of ash particles. Computer-operable methods for matching a source material to an application are disclosed. Certain aspects feature a porous body comprised of ash particles, the ash particles have a particle size distribution and interparticle connectivity that creates a plurality of pores having a pore size distribution and pore connectivity, and the pore size distribution and pore connectivity are such that a first fluid may substantially penetrate the pores.

Abstract: A filtration module is provided that includes a filter member and a spacing member disposed in detached, contact engagement along a length of each member, such length extending about a longitudinal axis of a filtration module to define a concentric and detached plurality of filtration layers, and an interleaved, concentric and detached plurality of spacing layers, respectively. One or both of the plurality of spacing layers and plurality of filtration layers may provide a radially-inward directed force. The spacing member may be elastically deformed in the filtration module to apply a radially-inward directed force and a radially-outward directed force, wherein the filtration and spacing layers are retained in substantial fixed spatial relation. A retaining member may be located to engage an external side surface of the filtration module. A filtration module may be constructed by winding the filter member and spacing member about a longitudinal axis of the module.

  • Patent number: 8894734
Abstract: The present invention relates to an air cleaner for the removal of pollutants from an air flow by a filter module, the filter module of which includes at least one permeable filter layer for the accumulation of pollutants on the filter layer. A bypass channel will be provided and established such that part of the unfiltered air flow may bypass any filter layer. Such a bypass channel does not compromise the cleaning effect of the filter module, at least as long as the filter layer has not yet been clogged with pollutants since in this case the biggest part of the air flow will take the major path through the filter layer due to lack of resistance. Only if the filter layer is clogged and if resistance for the air flow increases, air will obviously flow through the mentioned bypass channel.
