Jet Powered By Circuit Fluid Patents (Class 62/500)
  • Patent number: 4094170
Abstract: A working fluid such as a liquifiable gas is rotated in a rotor having a thermodynamic compressor, a condenser chamber and an evaporation chamber. The high pressure zone in the condenser chamber is separated from the low pressure zone of the evaporator by a column of liquid. In several embodiments, a forepump is actuated by the thermodynamic compressor in order to vary the thermodynamic operating points of the device.

  • Patent number: 4023948
Abstract: A solar energy refrigeration and air conditioning system for cooling an enclosed area comprising a low temperature vapor generator, condenser and evaporator specifically configured for use with a low boiling point refrigerant to use solar energy as a means of vapor generation. The low temperature vapor generator is coupled to an externally heated water source through a first fluid drive means. The low temperature vapor generator and evaporator feed refrigerant vapor to the condenser through means of an ejector while the liquid refrigerant is recirculated from the condenser to the low temperature vapor generator and evaporator by a second fluid drive means. Chilled fluid from the evaporator is circulated through a coil contained in an air handling system to cool the enclosed area. Of course, refrigerant could be evaporated in the evaporator by exposing evaporator heat exchange surfaces directly to the air in the duct thus cooling air directly.

  • Patent number: 4007776
Abstract: System using solar energy to heat a fluid in a heat storage tank can be utilized in either a heating mode or cooling mode. In the heating mode, several valves are actuated to cause fluid contained in an internal heat exchanger in the heat storage tank to circulate in series circuit with external heat exchange means in communication with the space to be heated. In the cooling mode, the valves are operated to cause the heated fluid in the internal heat exchanger mounted in the heat storage tank to circulate to a heat exchanger mounted in a refrigerant boiler. As the refrigerant boils, vapors are formed which pass through an ejector. The expanded refrigerant vapors are then condensed to liquid in a fan cooled condenser and a portion of the liquid is returned to the refrigerant boiler by a refrigerant circulating pump.

  • Patent number: 3938336
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating power by passing a fluid from a higher energy level to a lower energy level by compressing said fluid first in a continuous flow centrifuge rotor and then reducing the pressure of said fluid in an inward flow reaction turbine section. The fluid enters the first rotor at center and leaves the second rotor at center, and vanes are provided within both rotors to assure that said fluid will rotate with said rotors. Nozzles are provided near the periphery of the first rotor to increase the absolute tangential velocity of the fluid leaving said first rotor; the tangential velocity of second rotor near rotor tip is greater than said first rotor tangential tip velocity. The said fluid is contained within said rotors, and passes from said second rotor to said first rotor near rotor center.

  • Patent number: 3932158
Abstract: An object, such as a superconductive magnet, is cooled by a coolant operating with a single or multistage coolant cycle in which the coolant, in the last stage, is partially expanded, cooled in a separator-evaporator and fed to the object to be cooled. At least a portion of the coolant fluid, following passage through the object, is expanded through a throttle to form a liquid-gas phase mixture which is separated in the separator-evaporator, the gas phase being recirculated. The expansion of the coolant fluid prior to entry into contact with the object is carried out according to the invention in one or more ejectors whose suction side or sides draws a portion of the cooling fluid from part of the cycle elsewhere into the stream fed to the object to increase the mass flow.
