Abstract: An apparatus for processing the skin side of a tubular fur where one or more scraping means are configured for being arranged in a first position away from a mandrel of the apparatus with a first distance in relation to the center axis of the mandrel, and in a third position where the scraping means are configured for being in contact with the skin side so as to process the skin side of the fur, where the one or more scraping means are furthermore configured for being arranged in a second predefined position being arranged between the first position and the third second position with a second predefined distance in relation to the centre axis of the mandrel, and the apparatus is configured for automatically releasing the scraping means from the second position towards the third position when predetermined criteria is complied with.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing the skin side of a tubular fur, including a mandrel on which the tubular fur can be drawn from a first part of the mandrel towards a second part of the mandrel so that the skin side of the fur faces outwards and the fur side of the fur faces inwards towards the mandrel, one or more scraper units, each scraping unit having at least one scraper means configured for scraping the skin side when the fur is arranged on the mandrel, and a cover including a compartment and an outlet, where the cover is configured for enclosing at least a part of the mandrel and at least one of the scraper means in the compartment during operation, where the outlet is arranged in a bottom part of the cover, the bottom part being arranged below the at least one scraper means, and where the cover has walls with inner surfaces configured for leading material removed from the skin side by means of one or more of the one or more scraper means towards the bottom part.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for processing the skin side of a tubular fur (2), which apparatus comprises a tapering mandrel (3) with a first part (3a) that is thinner than a second part (3b) of the mandrel, on which mandrel (3) the tubular fur (2) can be drawn from the first part of the mandrel (3 a) towards the second part of the mandrel (3b) so that the skin side of the fur (2) faces outwards and the fur side of the fur faces inwards towards the mandrel (3), and at least a first scraper unit (4), comprising at least one scraper roller (4a) which, during operation and in contact with the skin side, is arranged to rotate so that scraping elements (6) on the scraper roller (4a) scrape the skin side of the fur (2).

Abstract: A machine for progressively roughing marginal portions of shoe bottoms comprising a shoe support (18) having toe support means (470) and a heel support arrangement including two sets of clamps (390, 392), one set (392) of which serves also as sensing means for sensing, by engagement with an off-set portion of the shoe last whether the shoe thus supported is a left or a right. An inductance sensing device (610) associated with the second set of clamps (392) supplies a signal to control means of the machine, the signal being dependent upon whether the shoe is a left or a right. The control means ensures that, in the operation of the machine, a roughing operation is carried out on the shoe bottom in such a manner that the inside waist region of the shoe bottom is traversed always in the same directiion, regardless of whether the shoe is a left or a right (and of course similarly the outside waist region is consistently operated upon).

Abstract: An apparatus for fleshing fur pelts with two conical poles, on each of which the pelt is positioned with the fur side facing inwardly. A ring is disposed concentrically of one pole. The ring is clamped to the pelt and moved axially of the pole by a piston driven carriage, which mounts the ring, to tension the pelt. The pole is rotated to allow a rotary scraper to flesh the pelt.

Abstract: In flow presses for the production and processing of leather, especially in sammying (drying) machines, the need exists for a preliminary effective stretching and widening of the leather to prevent the forming of creases. In a flow press with a pair of pressing rolls (W1, W2), there is arranged for this purpose in the zone of the entrance wedge (EZ) of the rolls, a stretching device (ARV) acting transverse to the flow direction (P1) of the leather, which is adjustable between an open position (OST) permitting introduction of the leather, and a working position (AST) with stretching tools (RW1, RW2) acting on the leather. This permits a perfect introduction of the leather, with visual control and with possibilities of correction. The slight distance attainable between the end section (EA) of the stretching tool and the roll pressing zone (PRZ), especially with non-rotating plate-form stretching tools, favors the suppression of creases in the pressing process.

Abstract: The fleshing machine according to the invention comprises a supporting frame, which bears two parallel blade cylinders, and on which two sliding heads provided with bearing, pressing and drawing rollers are mounted. The heads press the skin between the rollers and draw it under the action first of one and then of the other blade cylinder for the complete fleshing of the skin, in two stages beginning from the middle while keeping the skin pressed during the entire processing cycle.

Abstract: The invention comprises a machine for the continuous processing of leather hides using a table board which is fed lengthways through at least one pair of processing tools lying parallel and opposite to each other. The leather hide to be processed is placed with its middle part around the front edge of a table board. The machine includes means for displacing with respect to the table board, the unprocessed middle strip of hide on the front edge of the table board, to permit it to be processed.
