Interset Tumblers Patents (Class 70/302)
  • Patent number: 11535435
Abstract: A locking beverage container includes a container and a complementary removably securable lid. The lid includes a drinking aperture, a flap, and a lock. The drinking aperture is in fluid communication with the container when the lid is secured to the container and can be utilized by an individual to drink the contents of the container. The flap can be moved to a closed position to cover the drinking aperture to prevent access to the drinking aperture and contents of the container. The lock is operably connected to the flap and can selectively lock the flap in a closed position such that the flap cannot be moved by an unauthorized individual. The lock can also be unlocked thereby enabling the flap to move and enabling the individual to access and utilize the drinking aperture again.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes tumbler-style combination locks and methods for marking tumbler-style combination locks. The locks include a locking member movable between locked and unlocked configurations with respect to a lock body and a plurality of tumblers individually rotatable with respect to the body. A textual unlocking combination for moving the locking member to the unlocked configuration includes a word spelled by an alignment of letters on the plurality of tumblers. A plurality of letter strings is equal in number to the plurality of tumblers and individual tumblers include an individual letter string that has an individual distribution of consonants and vowels.

  • Patent number: 7383708
Abstract: A lock cylinder assembly has a base, multiple selecting disks and multiple disk sets. The base has an axis. The selecting disks are rotatably connected to the base along the axis of the base. The disk sets are operationally mounted along the axis of the base and are respectively connected to the selecting disks. Each disk set has multiple disks operationally mounted along the axis of the base. Accordingly, a lock cylinder assembly that can increase the difficulty of unlocking the lock cylinder assembly to improve the safety of using the lock cylinder assembly is provided.

  • Patent number: 5575164
Abstract: A combination lock includes a dial shaft adapted to be rotated with a user's hand, a fore lock plate, at least one intermediate lock plate and a rear lock plate arranged in parallel with each other, and a driving plate integrally fitted to a rear end of the dial shaft. A plurality of unlocking cutouts are formed in the outer peripheries of the driving plate and all the lock plates so as to allow a lock pawl to be received in the unlocking cutouts when the latter are located in alignment with each other. A driving gear having a large diameter is formed in the driving plate, and a follower gear having a small diameter is formed on the fore lock plate. Both the gears mesh with each other at a gear ratio via an idler gear so as to allow the gears to be rotated in the opposite directions. The gear ratio is determined such that all the lock plates are followably rotated as a dial knob is turned with a user's hand.

  • Patent number: 5267460
Abstract: A combination lock for a key safe has an over-center spring for biasing a unitary bolt in an extended or retracted position. A switch for actuating the bolt has a break-away button to foil vandals. The bolt includes checkers for engaging notches in a plurality of programmable combination rings when the combination is properly dialed. The checkers have V-shaped ridges for engaging false notches formed in the combination rings, making the lock pick-resistant. The checkers also include flat shoulders to prevent the bolt from being forcibly wedged into the combination rings to open the lock. The combination must be properly dialed to permit the bolt to be retracted for closing the key safe.

  • Patent number: 5009090
Abstract: A combination lock assembly for safes in which the combination can be easily reset without dismantling the assembly or changing its original adjustment for smoothness and consistency of tumbler wheel motion. The tumbler wheel and spacing washer components of the assembly are all mounted on a bushing that also includes an end cap. The tumblers and spacers are spring biased by a wave washer so that the drive tumbler, which includes a plurality of angularly spaced holes, presses against the end cap. One of the holes is aligned with a drive stud on the drive cam that is used to position the tumblers. In the event the drive tumbler should receive uneven pressure from the drive studs (e.g., due to improper alignment of the safe's drive spindle), the tumbler wheels and washers are all held together by the bias of the wave washer and are maintained with their engagement surfaces parallel with each other, permitting proper operation without undesirable wear.

  • Patent number: 4977766
Abstract: A universal lock mount for use with a variety of different types of safe locks. It includes an integral resin structure having a bushing portion and a mounting plate portion. The bushing portion supports lock components, and the mount also includes a retaining cap which is fused to the outer end of the bushing portion to hold the components as an independent assembly. Resin spacing washers minimize wear and provide for smoothness and consistency in the movement of the lock assembly components. Use of the mount permits the lock components to be preassembled, tested and adjusted prior to installation so that the resulting assembly functions as an independent lock element. The universal mount also facilitates security of the safe. Because the assembly is independent of the spindle/driver mechanism used to position its components, removal or destruction of the spindle/driver mechanism does not affect the components supported on the universal mount, and the safe remains locked.

  • Patent number: 4841759
Abstract: A fast opening, high security combination lock includes a case, a dial connected to a rotatable spindle, and a plurality of rotatable tumblers mounted coaxially therewith. A movable impeller mounted on said spindle is carried by internal projections in the case to engage the tumblers in sequence as the dial is turned through a series of partial clockwise turns to combination characters and returns to a set mark. After setting the tumblers, the impeller engages a driver which, if all of the tumblers have been properly set, retracts a bolt. The impeller is reset to its initial position on the spindle and the tumblers are scattered to secure the lock, by rotating the dial one-half turn anti-clockwise.

  • Patent number: 4468943
Abstract: A live bolt lock mechanism for a safe door uses a rotatable idler 15 in a middle region of the door. A plurality of live bolts 20 spaced around the door each has a connecting rod 19 joined to the idler 15 at crank locations for operating the live bolts. A handle 25 is mounted between the idler and the opening edge of the door, and a combination lock 30 is mounted beside the idler. An actuator 27 rotated by the handle moves an actuator link 31 connected to the idler for rotating the idler when the handle turns. A lock link 50 mounted on the idler and extending toward the combination lock 30 has a projection disposed adjacent the combination lock to block the lock link and idler from movement unless a combination for the lock is fulfilled.

  • Patent number: 4170886
Abstract: A replacement housing and plug adapted to substitute a key-operated housing, plug and tumblers in an existing tumbler lock without extensive modification of an existing installation in a door, thereby reducing the possibility of mechanical picking of the tumblers which are thereby eliminated. The combination tumblers are disposed for rotation about an axis corresponding to the axis of the substituted plug, and a resiliently urged locking bar is positioned above the tumblers to drop into tumbler engaging position when the proper combination has been obtained, thereby interconnecting a dial member with a lock opening means for transmitted motion from the former to the latter.

Abstract: A replacement plug adapted to substitute a key operated plug and tumblers in an existing tumbler lock without extensive modification of an existing installation in a door, thereby reducing the possibility of mechanical picking of the tumblers which are thereby eliminated. The combination tumblers are disposed for rotation about an axis disposed at right angles relative to the axis of rotation of an actuating knob, which is mounted on an axially shiftable shaft. Selection of the proper combination frees the shaft for axially outward movement whereby a lock opening means is connected to the, actuating knob for the transmission of rotating motion to a lock bolt or other locking structure.
