  • Patent number: 8028049
Abstract: A method and apparatus for web-based tool management are implemented. A tool object model provides a logical representation of the physical tool. The tool object model defines a hierarchical set of tool objects that characterize the tool, and additionally a set of method for performing actions on the tool objects. These actions also correspond to operations, which may include reporting as well as processing tasks, performed by the tool. A user may remotely control and monitor a tool using a conventional web browser. For example, a user may execute methods of the tool object model, or obtain detailed information about a tool object. User actions are passed to a server by embedding them in hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) requests. The server receives the HTTP request, and passes the request to a corresponding page server in accordance with the action requested. Depending on the action requested, the page server may generate a web page in response, or may invoke a method of the tool object model.

Abstract: In order to increase the efficiency of a production process a new method is presented. Thereby a flow of items is generated in a production system. Electronic devices that are attachable to the items are used for tracking the items. An identification of a first electronic device attached to a first item is read out. The identification is forwarded to a computer system that steers the flow of items. Due to a reception of the identification by the computer system, a transport status indicating authorization or prohibition to process the second item is set. The transport status is then transmitted to a second electronic device with an authorizing signal that is sent from the computer system to the second electronic device. The second electronic device contains a signal receiver circuit for receiving the authorizing signal and the second electronic device is attached to the second item.

  • Patent number: 7953511
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for reducing processing errors during the fabrication of integrated circuit wafers. A 2D dot matrix wafer scribe that contains coded information is placed on a wafer. The coded information contains wafer information such as the wafer lot number. The wafer is then placed in an ion implantation system. A camera in the ion implantation system is then used to photograph the dot matrix wafer scribe on the wafer. The information about the wafer is then decoded from the photograph of the dot matrix wafer scribe. A station controller that operates the ion implantation system then uses the information from the dot matrix wafer scribe to determine whether the wafer is suitable for ion implantation. The wafer is implanted only when the information from the dot matrix wafer scribe matches information about the wafer that has been previously stored in the station controller.

  • Patent number: 7953510
Abstract: A system and method for semiconductor identification chip read out is presented. A user uses a stand-alone handheld device to extract product data, which includes manufacturing process attributes, from a semiconductor device. The semiconductor device couples to the hand held device through a subset of pins, such as a power pin, a ground pin, a clock in pin, and a data out pin. When coupled, the handheld device provides a clock signal to the semiconductor device. In turn, on chip logic within the semiconductor device detects the clock signal and gathers internal product data. Once gathered, the on chip logic provides the product data to the hand held device through the data out pin for a user to view. As a result, the user may track semiconductor devices more efficiently.

  • Patent number: 7561938
Abstract: An inventive method in an integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing process for using data regarding repair procedures conducted on ICs at probe to determine whether any further repairs will be conducted later in the manufacturing process includes storing the data in association with a fuse ID of each of the ICs. The ID codes of the ICs are automatically read, for example, at an opens/shorts test during the manufacturing process. The data stored in association with the ID codes of the ICs is then accessed, and additional repair procedures the ICs may undergo are selected in accordance with the accessed data. Thus, for example, the accessed data may indicate that an IC is unrepairable, so the IC can proceed directly to a scrap bin without having to be queried to determine whether it is repairable, as is necessary in traditional IC manufacturing processes.

Abstract: A container comprising a body having embedded therein a plurality of chipless radio frequency identification elements. The chipless radio frequency identification elements comprises a plurality of categories of resonant elements. The resonant elements can be utilized in a system having a binary code feature. The combination of different resonant elements can be read and translated to identify the features of a particular product. The container can be prepared by compounding moldable compositions with the resonant elements and molding the moldable compositions containing the resonant elements into the final product. The invention also provides a system and a method for reading the binary code provided by the chipless radio frequency identification elements.

Abstract: A management computer 21 extracts product type information from a product type data storing unit 23 based on an input product type identifier, and receives information about a selected shipment destination. Then, the management computer 21 extracts a permission type from a shipment destination specification data storing unit 22 based on the product type and a shipment destination identifier. Further, the management computer 21 determines whether or not permission about the permission type has been obtained. When the permission has been obtained, the management computer 21 extracts a permission identifier. The management computer 21 extracts rating information of the product type data based on record items of the shipment destination specification data, and provides an instance format of the rating label.

Abstract: A method and related apparatus are disclosed of guaranteeing VIN registration to a vehicle's ECU. A vehicle identifier is entered into a production control system connected to a network. The entered vehicle identifier is compared with an expected vehicle identifier. If a match is obtained between the entered and expected vehicle identifiers, the vehicle identifier is sent from the production control system to a vehicle Immobilizer. A vehicle identifier acknowledgement is received at the production control system from the vehicle Immobilizer. The production control system verifies the vehicle identifier embedded in the acknowledgement. If a match is obtained, an information record associated with the vehicle identifier is sent from the production control system to the vehicle Immobilizer. An information record acknowledgement is received at the production control system from the vehicle Immobilizer. The production control system verifies the information record embedded in the acknowledgement.

  • Patent number: 7476349
Abstract: An open mold system provides various unique molds which are released from a plurality of staging queues and loaded onto a mold transportation circuit in relation to a particular customer order and transportation vehicle. A batch of molds are sequenced in an order in which a particular transportation vehicle is to be loaded. After each part is demolded, the molds are returned to their appropriate staging queues or storage areas. The parts are inspected and are sent to either a minor repair area, a major repair area, or directly to a trimming and packaging area. From the packaging area, the parts are moved to a relatively small shipping area where the batch of parts are already ordered to be effectively loaded directly onto the transportation vehicle. As the finished parts come off line in the batch particular to the transportation vehicle, a large shipping area and inventory area is avoided.
