Having Operator Control Interface (e.g., Control/display Console) Patents (Class 700/83)
  • Patent number: 9977416
Abstract: An industrial control system includes an industrial controller with a processor executing a program stored in a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and having a user interface and a network interface for communicating over a first control network with another industrial controller having a network interface. The other industrial controller has an additional network interface for communicating over a second control network with an industrial device. The program instructs the processor to retrieve installation information contained in the other industrial controller and the industrial device; build a data structure comprising the retrieved information; periodically monitor for a hardware failure; and send a message alarm in response to detection of a hardware failure. As a result, the installation base of the industrial system and any hardware failures are quickly understood and martial data collection is avoided.

Abstract: A blood treatment unit has a blood treatment device which is part of an extracorporeal blood circulatory system. The unit has a control unit and a display and input unit having a touch screen. In order to simplify the operation of the blood treatment unit using the touch screen, the control unit and the display and input unit are suitable for representing various mode means on the touch screen which correspond to the various time modes of the blood treatment. The control unit automatically instigates the beginning of the following time mode at the end of at least one time mode, this being indicated by a change in the representation of the selected mode means on the touch screen. It is especially advantageous to use sensors through whose measured values the control unit identifies the end of one time mode and the beginning of the subsequent time mode.

  • Patent number: 9609348
Abstract: Video analytics systems and methods are described that typically comprise a video encoder operable to generate macroblock video analytics metadata (VAMD) from a video frame. Functional modules receive the VAMD and an encoded version of the video frame is configured to generate video analytics information related to the frame using the VAMD and the encoded video frame. The downstream decoder can use the VAMD to obtain a global motion vector related to the frame, detect and track motion of an object within the frame and monitor a line provided or found within the frame. Traversals of the line by a moving object can be detected and counted using information in the VAMD and the line may be part of a polygon that delineates an area to be monitored within the encoded frame. The VAMD can comprise macroblock level and video frame level information.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to tools for optimizing complex processes or systems, such as flow process charts and, more specifically to the automatic graphical renderings of processes. In an exemplary embodiment, the process is a complex process including hundreds or thousands of operations. In an exemplary embodiment, a device displays a first view that includes a complete progression diagram automatically generated from data stored in a database, and at least some directional lines of the complete progression diagram unintelligibly overlap. In response to a selection of a particular operation in the complete progression diagram, in an exemplary embodiment, the display toggles to a second view that includes a focus diagram. In an exemplary embodiment, an edit to the focus diagram is checked in real-time and rejected if the edit orphans an object currently undergoing the process on a live production line.

Abstract: A computerized method for scalable management optimization of pressurized water distribution networks, comprises receiving a network model representing a pressurized water distribution physical network having water flow variables. The network model is simulated by solving non-linear mathematical equations representing the behavior of the water flow variables. One or more result sets are fed to the non-linear mathematical equations. The non-linear mathematical equations are linearized. Network model optimization requirements are received from a user. The linearized mathematical equations are optimized according to the received network model optimization requirements. A local search starting from the at least one optimized solution is performed using the non-linearized mathematical equations, thereby generating a solution.
