  • Patent number: 11955003
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, in which a commuter demand control system (CDCS) can obtain commuter profiles, and each profile can identify a commuter, an origin, a destination and commute preferences. The CDCS can determine from the commuter profiles batches of commuter profiles. The CDCS can determine, for a batch of commuter profiles, commute profiles, and each commute profile can correspond to a commuter profile in the batch of commuter profiles. The CDCS can provide the commute profiles. In addition, a traffic control system can obtain a commute profile for at least one commuter, and the commute profile can identify a commuter and an authorized time range. In response to determining that the commuter is authorized to traverse the traffic control device at the time point, the traffic control system can actuate the traffic control device.

  • Patent number: 11946756
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for determining matches of requestors and providers based on a dynamic provider eligibility model. For example, a request matching model uses an estimated arrival time for a requestor and estimated travel times for available providers to a pickup location to determine eligible providers for matching to a ride request. The matching model determines those providers that are far enough away from the request location to allow the requestor time to arrive at the pickup location without matching providers that are too far away, causing delay for the requestor and lowering the efficiency of the system by taking provider system resources from other service areas and increasing provider downtime upon matching. Additionally, embodiments provide more efficient matching processing leading to fewer canceled matched requests, fewer requests for a successful match, and fewer system resources necessary to meet requestor demand.

  • Patent number: 11745346
Abstract: A robot control system determines which of a number of discretizations to use to generate discretized representations of robot swept volumes and to generate discretized representations of the environment in which the robot will operate. Obstacle voxels (or boxes) representing the environment and obstacles therein are streamed into the processor and stored in on-chip environment memory. At runtime, the robot control system may dynamically switch between multiple motion planning graphs stored in off-chip or on-chip memory. The dynamically switching between multiple motion planning graphs at runtime enables the robot to perform motion planning at a relatively low cost as characteristics of the robot itself change.

Abstract: An approach is provided for providing an isoline map of a time to park at a destination. A routing platform computes the time to park at a destination of a navigation route, wherein the time to park represents an estimated time that is needed for a vehicle to park within a geographic area surrounding the destination. The routing platform further determines an isoline that delineates a boundary of the geographic area, wherein the isoline indicates an extent of the geographic area in which the time to park applies. The routing platform further provide data to generate a user interface depicting a representation of the isoline in the time to park isoline map.

Abstract: A computer system can determine historical interval data of a freight operator from completed freight service requests associated with the freight operator. Additionally, while the freight operator is fulfilling a current freight service request, the computer system can determine at least a first likely downtime interval for a non-operating activity of the freight operator prior to the freight operator arriving at a pickup location or a destination location of the current freight service request, based on the historical interval data. Also, the computer system can determine an estimated arrival time for the freight operator to arrive at the pickup location or the destination location of the current freight service request, based at least in part on the first likely down time interval. Moreover, the computer system can update a record associated with the freight operator to reflect the estimated arrival time.

  • Patent number: 11718319
Abstract: Each of a plurality of landing pads is sized and shaped to accommodate an AV. Landing pad sensor(s) are located in or around each landing pad. A control subsystem receives landing pad sensor data from the one or more landing pad sensors and receives, from a first AV traveling to a location of the plurality of landing pads, a request for an assigned landing pad in which the first AV should park. In response to this request, the control subsystem determines, based on the received landing pad sensor data, whether a first landing pad is free of obstructions that would prevent receipt of the first AV. If the first landing pad is free of obstructions, an indication is provided to the AV that the first landing pad is the assigned landing pad.

  • Patent number: 11703335
Abstract: A vehicle behavior monitor installed in a host vehicle that monitors the behavior of other vehicles. When the behavior of the other vehicles appears to deviate from an expected trajectory of an in-vehicle map, a geo-fenced region is monitored by external sensors. The external sensor data stream is input to a pre-trained anomaly detector. The clusters from the feature space of the encoder are compared to a database of known behaviors. A confidence level is determined based on the number of vehicles which exhibit the behavior. If the confidence level is equal to or greater than a confidence level threshold, a persistence value is calculate based on the type of behavior. The behavior and the persistence value are used to update the in-vehicle map. Based on the persistence value, the update is transmitted to a map server when the host vehicle enters an area of high data connectivity or is dropped.
