Inhibiting Presentation Change Patents (Class 701/456)
  • Patent number: 10946977
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for integrating aircraft flight parameters generated by an offboard portable electronic device (PED) into an onboard flight management system (FMS). The method comprises selecting the aircraft flight parameters to be generated by the PED for use by the FMS. The current flight data is accessed for the aircraft with the FMS and providing the current flight data to the offboard PED. The rules for the aircraft flight parameters are computed with the offboard PED based on the current flight data for the aircraft and transmitted to a flight management (FM) adapter. The FM adapter confirms that the rules for the aircraft flight parameters comply with operational limits of the aircraft and then translates the rules of the aircraft flight parameters to aircraft operational targets for use by the onboard FMS. The aircraft operational targets are then loaded from the FM adapter into the FMS.

  • Patent number: 9304000
Abstract: A portable terminal executing an application program for realizing a predetermined function may not require a re-input operation of setting information and may reduce a restart time of the predetermined function by way of an in-vehicle apparatus. Specifically, the in-vehicle apparatus acquires and stores the setting information from the portable terminal. When a forced termination of the application program is detected, the in-vehicle apparatus transmits the setting information to the portable terminal after the application program is restarted by the portable terminal. The setting information from the in-vehicle apparatus enables the portable terminal to perform an auto-resetting process for redefining/resetting the setting information in order to resumes the application program.

  • Patent number: 8681176
Abstract: A map server generates vector descriptors and corresponding style identifiers for rendering a map image. Each vector descriptor indicates a geometry of a respective map element in accordance with a vector graphics format, and each style identifier identifies a style according to which the corresponding map element is rendered. The map server then causes map data including the vector descriptors and the style identifiers to be transmitted to the client device via a communication network. When the map server receives a request for style data for modifying a map image at the client device, the map server generates a description of visual characteristics for one or more styles identified by the style identifiers included in the map data previously provided to the client device and causes the description of visual characteristics to be transmitted to the client device for applying to the vector descriptors at the client device.

  • Patent number: 8332144
Abstract: The image correction method and system for navigation device with portable navigation unit converts an image based on projection to a first display into a suitable image on a second display such that the area of the second display is used economically and efficiently while maintaining some elements of the image in substantially common aspect ratio between the images on the first display and on the second display. The image correction method determines the ratio of the second display, determines if image correction is required, and checks a correction table and performs image correction according to correction rules to generate the corrected image for projecting on the second display.
