Abstract: According to embodiments, methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for receiving one or more input compositions comprising one or more materials, assigning a material vector to each material, learning, for each of the input compositions, a composition vector based on the material vectors of the materials that form each composition, assigning predicted rating values having a confidence level to each of the composition vectors, selecting a composition to be rated based on the confidence levels, presenting the selected composition to be rated to a user, receiving a user rating for the composition to be rated; adjusting the predicted rating values and confidence levels of the composition vectors that have not been rated by the user, and generating a predictive model to predict a user's ratings for compositions when confidence levels of each composition vector is above a predetermined threshold value.

Abstract: A data gate apparatus for integrating functionalities of an interface format into a plurality of services. The processor detects a device supporting a first interface format that is different than the interface formats stored in the storage device. The processor learns the first interface format by receiving data function in the first interface format and associating a field in the data function with a variable representing information of a particular type. The processor verifies that the first interface format has been successfully learnt by generating a message in the first interface format and sending the message to the device. The processor receives a response to the message and parses the response to thereby confirm that the first interface format is functional and integrable into the plurality of services.

Abstract: An ambient transaction system is described for facilitating various transactions types between a management system and a connected device over a transaction platform. Based on a variety of different triggering conditions, the transaction platform may establish an integrated session among the transaction platform, the management system, and the connected device. The transaction platform includes integrated logic of the management system such that a presentment layer provided to the connected device by the transaction platform via the integrated session includes features of the management system associated with the transaction type. When the transaction is a payment transaction, the features may include a payment feature through which checkout options may be selected for payment via the connected device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing nutritional recommendations to a registered customer of a business make use of a central computer server and a database including nutritional scores associated with products offered by the business. The central computer server receives a list of products purchased by the customer from the business, and processes that list to assign a nutritional score from the database to each of the products purchased by the customer. The nutritional score of each of the products purchased by the customer is then compared with a nutritional score of one or more product alternatives such that, based on that comparison, a recommended product alternative is selected having a nutritional score higher than a corresponding one of the products purchased by the registered customer. The recommended product alternative is then transmitted to the customer via a software application running on a mobile device of the registered customer.

In some examples, the service provider exposes the delivery services to a computing device associated with a merchant, buyer, and/or others using one or more Applicant Programming Interfaces (APIs) provided by the service provider. Price information and tax information associated with the merchant are retrieved. A most likely item combination is selected based on a pre-tax total for the transaction and the price information.

Abstract: Described herein is a centralized order computing system that is configured to receive orders from a plurality of sources. The plurality of sources can include delivery applications, remote customer computing devices, and/or service computing devices associated with a merchant. The centralized order computing system may be configured to receive a plurality of orders from the plurality of sources, send the plurality of orders to a kitchen computing system associated with the merchant, receive a notification of order completion, and process the order.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method receives an order request from a consumer device where the order request is be provisioned to a recipient at a later time and where the recipient is required to be physically present receive the order. The order request also includes a request location and a request time. As a function of the information, the method determines an estimated time to complete the order request. The method further sends a confirmation request to the consumer device requesting a confirmation response within a predetermined time. After an expiration of the predetermined time, the method completes a transaction for the order request and receives the confirmation response from the consumer device after the expiration of the predetermined time. The method sends a notification to the consumer device indicating the estimated time to complete the order request for the recipient to receive the order request.

Abstract: A system and method for the preparation of food is provided. The system utilizes a nutritional information module which allows nutritional information to be aggregated for an entire menu along with portion information and the ability to adjust serving weight by preferred caloric value for any individual recipe. The system also utilizes a scheduler module which compiles task information for any individual recipe items per paragraph. The schedule module may have any plurality of different task times including a passive task time and/or an active task time and may time stamp the time it takes to prepare any specific recipe. The schedule may compile cook information and store information in a memory bank for analysis of the individual cook's cooking style and cook time. Moreover, the system may also provide a feedback module which uses personal time co-efficients to predict how long it should take for any particular menu choice preparation.

Abstract: A monitoring-based service providing system includes a table monitoring terminal associated with one of a plurality of tables in a venue, a central control terminal, and an order terminal associated with said one of the plurality of tables. The central control terminal includes a communication interface communicable with the table monitoring terminal, and a controller. The controller is configured to compare the image data received at first timing with the image data received at second timing after the first timing, determine a remaining amount of the consumable item based on a comparison result of the image data received at the first and second timing, and generate recommendation information upon the determining remaining amount decreasing to a predetermined threshold, and control the second communication interface to transmit the generated recommendation information. Abstract: A system, comprising a prepared Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, which has been customized by a business to cause custom websites to pop up on customers' smartphones; a service point, which is a place where a customer will receive service from the business; wherein a customer can waive a smartphone over the prepared NFC tag at a service point; wherein the prepared NFC tag will cause a website to pop up on the smartphone and the customer can enter a request, which will be sent to workers at the business's location; wherein the customer's request is authenticated and hence physical presence verified; wherein workers at the business will receive the request, and will respond to the request at the customer's service point. For example, in a grocery store, the service points are along the aisles, and in a restaurant, the service points are the tables.

Abstract: Systems and related methods facilitating interactions between a merchant device, a central system and a consumer device are discussed herein. Wallet identifying data may be used to secure messages between the consumer device and the merchant device over a wireless link. For example, the merchant device may include circuitry configured to wirelessly receive the wallet identifying data from a consumer device and to transmit the wallet identifying data to the central system. In response, consumer identifying data associated with the wallet identifying data may be received by the merchant device from the central system. In some embodiments, the consumer identifying data may be associated with a unit of location, such as a dine-in location at a restaurant, to facilitate consumer service.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for detecting a first user in the autonomous store based on analysis of a first set of images collected by a set of tracking cameras in the autonomous store, creating a first virtual shopping cart for the first user without requiring the first user to establish an identity with the autonomous store, updating the first virtual shopping cart with a set of items in the autonomous store based on observations from a set of sensors of interactions between the first user and the set of items, and automatically performing at least one check-out operation related to the set of items in the first virtual shopping cart upon detecting that a first location of the first user is within proximity of a checkout location in the autonomous store.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for providing a consumer device presence-based transaction sessions are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for an apparatus configured to establish consumer device presence-based transaction sessions. The apparatus and consumer device may wirelessly communicate for a variety interactions within the transaction session. For example, consumers may be allowed to provide one or more instances of consumer approval data for payment. The transaction session may be closed upon receipt of consumer approval data or may be kept open based on wirelessly polling for consumer device presence. Based on the lack of consumer device presence, the apparatus may be configured to close the transaction session and subsequently facilitate a transaction. In various embodiments, the apparatus may be a merchant device or a server. For example, the apparatus may be a server of a central system configured to facilitate transaction sessions between merchant devices and consumer devices.

Abstract: In one embodiment, example systems and methods relate to ordering food from a vehicle. A driver or a passenger of a vehicle indicates that they would like to order food from the vehicle by speaking a command, or by making a selection on a display associated with the vehicle. In response to the indication, the vehicle determines one or more restaurants that are near the vehicle, or that are near the route being traveled by the vehicle. After the driver or passenger selects a restaurant, the vehicle loads a restaurant specific natural language understanding model that is associated with the restaurant. As the driver or passenger speaks their order, the restaurant specific natural language understanding model is used to process the audio and generate an order. The order and an estimated time of arrival of the vehicle is provided electronically to the restaurant.

Abstract: Techniques and arrangements for facilitating synchronization of order ticket functionality utilized by point-of-sale (POS) devices with kitchen display systems. In some example, a POS device and a line buster device collectively receive a plurality of customer orders associated with a transaction between a merchant and plurality of customers. Based on individual customer orders, the POS device determines when to fire off the orders to the kitchen display system irrespective of the sequence in which they are received. Such systems and methods make use of sharing of information between the line of business products. Abstract: Provided are systems and processes for optimizing assignments of deliveries for perishable goods. In one aspect, a method is provided for pairing a set of created orders with a set of available couriers. The set of created orders may include orders confirmed by the merchant and the set of available couriers include couriers that are online with an active status. Feasible pairings are generated between each courier and each created order. Infeasible pairings are eliminated based on factors such as transportation mode. Possible routes for each pairing are generated and scored based on weighted factors. The scores are optimized to achieve a set of routes with a maximum score. The routes are then offered to the corresponding courier if the courier will arrive at or after the created order is completed by the merchant. A neural network may be implemented to recognize the optimal score for a given duration.

Abstract: Patrons at a restaurant or bar can pay at their table using credit cards, without involving the restaurant or bar cashier and/or wait staff. Patrons are assisted using this system in dividing the bill by displaying the amount due (including tax) and allowing each patron to enter the amount they wish to pay. When the initial bill is presented, a balance due will be displayed and the indication will be provided that the bill has yet to be paid in full. As each transaction is entered, a running total will be displayed indicating the remaining balance due. When the running total reaches zero, the bill is paid in full, and an indication will be provided, such as by illuminating a green indicator light or by displaying a balance due of $0.00.
