Abstract: A locker bank and kiosk system that provide storage for multi-featured portable locker boxes, wherein each portable locker box includes a global position system receiver for location monitoring as well as other features. Using an app that is running on a mobile device or the kiosk, the user can identify an available or vacant locker, reserve the locker, open the locker and retrieve the portable locker box and store other items within the locker in the locker bank.

Abstract: In this application, a terminal transaction method and a terminal are provided and used to resolve a problem existing in the prior art that an NFC application does not match a type of a POS, and there is relatively poor user experience. The method includes: establishing, by a terminal, a near field communication NFC radio frequency connection to a point of sale POS, and starting up a first transaction; and selecting, by the terminal, a first NFC application corresponding to the POS, and performing the first transaction when a use condition of the first NFC application is already satisfied.

Abstract: A point-of-sale terminal for fulfilling orders under non-persistent network conditions is provided. The terminal includes a state processor and an order processor. The state processor queues state changes in durable order queues that correspond to orders in a restaurant. The order processor, coupled to the state processor, generates the state changes and accesses and transmits the state changes in each one of the durable order queues to a synchronization server, from oldest to youngest, when operably connected to a network, where the order processor includes current order state fields corresponding to the orders, and where the order processor utilizes domain specific rules disposed therein to resolve conflicts in the orders occurring from state change updates received from the synchronization server which result from other state changes to the orders generated by one or more other POS terminals.

The method includes accessing location data for the user device based on the store reference and a user account associated with the user, the location data indicating a service accessible via the UI and associated with a certain tenant. The method includes providing, to the user device and based on the location data, a user experience for accessing the service via the UI.

Abstract: A POS terminal for fulfilling orders includes a state processor and an order processor. The state processor queues state changes in durable order queues that correspond to orders in a restaurant. The order processor, coupled to the state processor, generates the state changes and accesses and transmits the state changes in each of the durable order queues to a synchronization server, from oldest to youngest, when operably connected to a network, where the order processor includes current order state fields corresponding to all of the orders, and where the order processor utilizes domain specific rules disposed therein to resolve conflicts in the orders occurring from state change updates received from the synchronization server which result from other state changes to the one or more orders generated by one or more other POS terminals, where one or more of the orders are received from a third-party terminal that is not on-premise with the POS terminal.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for payment transaction overrides and system initiated payment splitting. In one embodiment, a first authorization request associated with a first account is monitored at an override computer, an override trigger is identified, and a transaction override approval is received. Override authorization requests are then sent, and responses to the override authorization requests are received at the override computer. A response to the initial authorization request is the sent based on the response received to the override authorization request. In alternative embodiments the override requests are cascaded, or include requests for new account creation.

Abstract: A wireless checkout system includes peripheral stations, a server that stores location information indicating a position coordinate of each of the peripheral stations, one or more base stations, and a mobile point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The mobile POS terminal includes a wireless communication interface configured to receive a wireless signal from the base stations, a display, and a processor. The processor designates one of the peripheral stations as an associated peripheral station, determines a position coordinate of the mobile POS terminal based on the wireless signal, selects, based on the determined position coordinate of the mobile POS terminal and the location information, another of peripheral stations that is closest to the mobile POS terminal to be an alternative peripheral station to be recommended for the checkout, when the associated peripheral station is not available, and then controls the display to display a screen indicating the alternative peripheral station.

The payment system determines a recommended consumer account to use for the purchase of the good or services based at least in part on the transaction costs. Tender steering information is generated and sent to the consumer. Tender steering information includes the recommended consumer account information and one or more incentives to incentivize the consumer to use the recommended consumer account for the payment of the goods or services.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically reconfiguring a user interface based on a product lifecycle that changes a visual appearance of a product image in the user interface to reflect its age or ownership duration is described. In one embodiment, a method includes determining one or more products owned by a user and an ownership period associated with an age or ownership duration of each product. The ownership period is compared to a product lifecycle for the product and, based on the comparison, one or more temporal effects are overlaid onto a base product image for the product. The one or more temporal effects change a visual appearance of the base product image in a user interface on a user device in communication with the unified product application to reflect the age or ownership duration of the product.
