  • Patent number: 11321517
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for the conversion of documents to reusable content types are disclosed herein. Embodiments may extract the content and metadata of the original document and identify a set of reusable resources from the content and metadata. These reusable resources can each be one of a set of content types common across a plurality of document authoring platforms. Each of the content types may be represented using a content type object associated with that content type. The reusable resources identified by the parsing of the content and metadata of the original document may thus be represented with corresponding reusable objects in a content type format common to a plurality of document authoring tools.

  • Patent number: 11314753
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for receiving and executing a query received from a data intake and query system and providing results to a first group of worker nodes in a distributed execution environment. The query identifies a set of data to be processed and a manner of processing the set of data. Based on the query, the system defines a query processing scheme, and generates instructions for a second group of worker nodes to obtain the set of data from one or more dataset sources and to process the set of data. The system communicates results of the query to the first group of worker nodes.

  • Patent number: 11301467
Abstract: Embodiments may provide methods and systems for intelligent capture and fast transformation of granulated data summaries. An engine may be used to transform input data summaries into result sets representing query outcomes. The data summaries contain enough knowledge about the original data to accurately perform operations on the summaries without needing to access the original data. In an embodiment, the contents of data summaries are accessible via an SQL approximate engine which retrieves summaries stored on disk and utilizes them for its operations. Alternatively, the contents of data summaries are accessible via virtual tables which give users direct access to the summary contents and allow for the creation and implementation of algorithms to work with the data summaries independently from the SQL approximate engine.

  • Patent number: 11294744
Abstract: A management entity receives device fingerprints representing corresponding devices connected to one or more networks. Each device fingerprint includes a multi-bit word indicating hardware, software, network configuration, and failure features for a corresponding one of the devices. The management entity processes the device fingerprints using different methods including statistical risk of failure scoring methods and machine learning risk of failure scoring methods, to produce from each of the methods a respective risk of failure for each device. The management entity combines the respective risk of failures for each device into a composite risk of failure for each device, ranks the devices based on the composite risk of failures for the devices, to produce a risk ranking of the devices, and outputs the risk ranking.

Abstract: A natural language query can be received at a main natural language processor inside a data protection compliance boundary in a computer system. The natural language query can be processed via the main natural language processor. The data from the query can be transmitted to a data protection computer component. It can be determined via the data protection component whether the data from the query includes protected data whose transmission to a computerized extension would violate a computer-readable data protection rule. The extension is outside the compliance boundary in the computer system and is configured to participate in responding to natural language queries received by the main natural language processor. • Patent number: 11210290
Abstract: A maintenance subsystem of a database-management system (DBMS) receives a database query that requests access to data stored in a database column. The subsystem retrieves or infers frequent-value statistics for that column, each of which specifies the number of times one distinct value is stored in the column. The statistics are partitioned into Keep and Discard clusters and, using statistical or other computational methods based on the column's data distribution, the subsystem determines an optimal number of the statistics that should be kept by the DBMS in order to minimize cost, errors, or other parameters desired by an implementer. The subsystem then directly or indirectly directs a query-optimizer component of the DBMS to consider the optimal number of frequent-value statistics when selecting an optimal data-access plan. The selected plan is then used by the DBMS's storage-manager component to access the column when servicing the received query.

  • Patent number: 11182414
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, cognitive intelligence system and computer program product adapt a relational database containing multiple data types. Non-text tokens in the relational database are converted to a textual form. Text is produced based on relations of tokens in the relational database. A set of word vectors is produced for the tokens based on the text. A cognitive intelligence query expressed as a structured query language (SQL) query may be applied to the relational database using the set of word vectors. The form of non-text tokens is one of a numeric value, an SQL type, an image, a video, a time series, latitude and longitude, or chemical structures. A single word embedding model may be applied over one or more tokens in the text. A plurality of sets of preliminary word vectors are computed by applying more than one embedding model over all tokens in the text. The preliminary word vector sets are merged to form the set of word vectors.

  • Patent number: 11182446
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods that provide a pipeline to generate personalized queries that are associated with and based on a user's interests determined from a user's past searches, on an Internet search engine, and/or the content the user viewed from the past searches. The suggested queries can be shown in a user interface component associated with the user interface of the search engine and before the user enters anything, such as a new Internet search. This pre-population of searches associated with a user's interests gives an opportunity to the user to try these queries without manually entering in a search string.

  • Patent number: 11163760
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes providing a data query service to a user based on natural language request data. The natural language request data is obtained from a user interface and a query structure is populated based on the natural language request data. The query structure is compared to stored queries and, based on identifying a stored query that matches the query structure, the user is prompted to confirm or reject that the identified query be performed. Based on receiving a confirmation of the identified query from the user, the identified query is selected for performance. Alternatively, based on receiving a rejection of the identified query from the user, a query based on the query structure is generated and selected for performance. The selected query is then performed on at least one data source and query output from the performed query is provided to the user.

  • Patent number: 11138191
Abstract: In accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure, a data intake and query system (DIQS) performs a query on event data to return a result data set. A client device receives an input that includes one or more text strings and expands the received input into a multi-field search query, which is transmitted to the DIQS. The DIQS then parses the result data set by performing the multi-field search query on the result data set to return at least one event that includes one or more fields that have one or more values that correspond to the one or more text strings. The at least one event may then be caused to be displayed by the client device through a graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 11138202
Abstract: Examples are described herein that relate to determining a level of relatedness between datasets. An approximation can be made of whether an entry in a first dataset appears in a same row as an entry in a second dataset. The approximation can be made by grouping entries in the second dataset together and determining an occurrence that an entry occurs in a same row as any of the entries in a grouping of entries. A test of independence between datasets can be made based at least on the occurrence values. Datasets can be ranked according to level of independence and presented to a user as candidates to join with a dataset. Occurrence values or rankings can be precomputed and available for use so that join candidates can be presented with a little amount of perceived delay to a user. A user interface can present join candidates for a dataset and allow the user the select datasets for joining. Joining of first and second datasets can supplement entries in both of the datasets and create a third dataset.

  • Patent number: 11137996
Abstract: According to a computer-implemented method, a cognitive model container is created. The container includes a set of artifacts. Each artifact includes 1) content used by a cognitive service to convert unstructured text into structured text and 2) metadata. During deployment of a container, for each artifact a set of deployment descriptors are automatically identified. The deployment descriptors identify how the artifact is to be executed in the cognitive service. Also, during deployment of the container, content of an artifact is pushed to a number of cognitive services based on the deployment descriptors. The container is instantiated along with the set of artifacts to the cognitive service. During runtime execution of the container, content of each artifact in a container is obtained and unstructured text is converted into structured text based on the content of the artifacts.
