  • Patent number: 11137880
Abstract: In some example embodiments, an indication of a selected data point of a current visualization can be received. A context of the selected data point can be determined based on a dimension of the data point, and explanation candidates can be generated based on the context of the selected data point. Each exploration candidate can have a different dimension context that is within the context of the selected data point and a corresponding value for the dimension context. For each one of the explanation candidates, a corresponding score can be generated based on a difference between the value for the explanation candidate and an average value of all the values of the explanation candidates. The explanation candidates can be ranked based on the scores. At least one of the explanation candidates can be selected based on the ranking, and selectable explanation(s) for the selected explanation candidate(s) can be displayed.

Abstract: An asset monitoring and reporting system (AMRS) implements decoupled update cycle and disparate search frequency dispatch for dynamic elements of an asset monitoring and reporting system. The AMRS identifies occurrence of an update to a visualization of a client dashboarding component of an AMRS, the visualization comprising dynamic elements and corresponding dynamic element searches that are each associated with a search query to be submitted for execution to obtain a value of a metric of an asset node associated with a respective dynamic element. The AMRS further sends a request indicative of the dynamic elements to a server component of the AMRS, receives dynamic element objects for the dynamic elements, the dynamic element objects specifying search queries corresponding to the dynamic elements, modifies dynamic element searches of the dashboarding component in accordance with the search queries, and stores a definition of the visualization as control information.

The index for a given key may be append only, such that the stored data for the key doesn't require modification of previously-recorded data for given validity times. The bi-temporal index comprises a key-value data store that allows values to be recorded for a specific key, validity time, and recordation time. To retrieve a value, a request presents a query with a key, subject time, and observation time. Queries look for values with a validity time most recent to and before the queried subject time and a recordation time, associated with the validity time, most recent to and before the queried observation time. The queries prioritize the validity time over the recordation time and returns the value that satisfies the query request.

  • Patent number: 10997162
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for tracking a series of changes to database data are disclosed. A method includes executing a transaction to modify data in a micro-partition of a table of a database by generating a new micro-partition that embodies the transaction. The method includes associating transaction data with the new micro-partition, wherein the transaction data comprises a timestamp when the transaction was fully executed, and further includes associating modification data with the new micro-partition that comprises an indication of one or more rows of the table that were modified by the transaction. The method includes joining the transaction data with the modification data to generate joined data and querying the joined data to determine a listing of intermediate modifications made to the table between a first timestamp and a second timestamp.

  • Patent number: 10956443
Abstract: The subject-matter described herein relates to a computer-implemented method of enabling interoperability between a first knowledge base and a second knowledge base. Each knowledge base is graphically represented and includes a plurality of nodes each defining a concept and a plurality of relations linking the plurality of nodes. The first knowledge base and the second knowledge base are encoded using different coding standards. The method comprises: identifying an entity from the plurality of entities in the second knowledge base; obtaining a mapping between the identified entity from the second knowledge base and a matching entity from the first knowledge base; and creating and storing a link between the identified entity from the second knowledge base and the matching entity from the first knowledge base.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing content related to a user-selected media asset featuring a person unrelated to that media asset, but that was involved in another media asset together with a person that was involved with the user-selected media. Specifically, a user-selection of a media asset is received and a first person involved in the media asset is identified. A second person that is associated with the first person and is not involved in the user-selected media asset is identified and content featuring the second person and related to the user-selected media asset is presented to a user.

  • Patent number: 10956521
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein create a graph of data within a data set, such as items within an electronic catalog. The nodes of the graph may represent data items, such as items within the electronic catalog. Links or edges can be created between nodes of the graph representative of a data-metric of interest. For example, links or edges can be created between nodes of the graph representative of co-access of items. A diversified page rank process can be performed with respect to a particular node in the graph. This process can use positive or negative bias toward specific attributes to dynamically re-weight edges before and/or during the walk.

  • Patent number: 10956125
Abstract: Methods and systems for shuffling data are described. A processor may generate pair data from source data. The processor may insert the pair data into local tuple spaces. In response to a request for a particular key, the processor may determine a presence of the requested key in a global tuple space. The processor may, in response to a presence of the requested key in the global tuple space, update the global tuple space. The update may be based on the pair data among the local tuple spaces including the existing key. The processor may, in response to an absence of the requested key in the global tuple space, insert pair data including the missing key from the local tuple spaces into the global tuple space. The processor may fetch the requested pair data, and may shuffle the fetched data to generate a dataset.

  • Patent number: 10949484
Abstract: Systems and methods for graphically representing a research relationship. A user operating a user device provides a search input for a target entity. An input detector receives the search input. A database searcher retrieves publications associated with the target entity from a plurality of databases, at least some of which being jointly contributed to by the target entity and associated entities. A publication compiler determines a number of publications for the target entity and a number of publications for the associated entities. A user interface generator generates a GUI representing a research relationship between the target entity and the associated entities. The target entity and the associated entities are represented as objects having a size corresponding to the number of publications, with the objects connected via connectors which represent joint contribution to one or more of the plurality of publications by the target entity and a respective associated entity.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for obtaining, processing, and presenting data related to security events, and for implementing courses of action to protect assets in response to the security events. An event management module identifies malicious activity present on a first network domain and/or a second network domain based on received network domain activity. A threat intelligence module receives data identifying the malicious activity in first data constructs of a predefined data structure. The threat intelligence module obtains additional data related to the identified malicious activity and generates second data constructs that include enriched data regarding the malicious activity. The enriched data includes data describing a campaign in which at least a portion of the malicious activity is involved and one or more courses of action. A course of action module receives the second data constructs and implements a given course of action.
