Abstract: According to a preferred aspect of the instant invention, there is provided a system and method for supplementing a multimedia work with content from the Internet. The instant method utilizes a combined multimedia editing and browsing functionality in one multimedia editing program. The instant invention will make it possible for casual users to be able to extract multimedia data from a website and include that data in a project. Multimedia content that is not supported by the editing component will be automatically converted to a format that is supported.

Abstract: Web feed presence techniques are described herein. In an implementation, a method includes obtaining a web feed describing content of the user and presence data of the user. The web feed is output with the presence data concurrently.

Abstract: In various embodiments, methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed that allow users to specify runtime customizations of documents developed using a desktop integration framework. Workbook metadata is a set of information that describes how a given workbook is integrated with a particular web application. When a workbook is being published, metadata may be written into a local cache in the published workbook as well as a workbook definition file. Metadata management may be handed by a metadata service allowing updates and customization of published workbooks independently of a local cache in the published workbook and the workbook definition file. A workbook composer enables users to customize the metadata and store the customizations using the metadata manager.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to electronic devices and applications for presentation of content. In one embodiment, a method for presentation of content by a display device includes running a mix application for the display device, the mix application configured to present content during a session and receive content from one or more devices associated with the session. The method also includes presenting a graphical display on the display device during a session initiated by the mix application, wherein the session includes presentation of a plurality of types of content, and receiving content from the one or more devices associated with the session, wherein the content is provided to the display device by the mix application. The method also includes updating presentation of the graphical display to present the content received from the one or more devices associated with the session.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for manipulating image annotations. One method includes receiving an image of an individual's anatomy; automatically determining, using a processor, one or more annotations for anatomical features identified in the image of the individual's anatomy; determining a dependency or hierarchy between at least two of the one or more annotations for anatomical features identified in the image of the individual's anatomy; and generating, based on the dependency or hierarchy, a workflow prompting a user to manipulate the one or more annotations for anatomical features identified in the image of the individual's anatomy.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable mediums for processing an electronic document. An electronic document is received, where the electronic document comprises an image that contains visually represents text, and where the electronic document lacks text data corresponding to the visually represented text of the image. The image that contains the visually represented text is automatically recognized, where the automatic recognition occurs in a background mode such that display of the electronic document to a user is unaffected. A text layer comprising recognized data is generated, where the recognized data is based on the automatic recognition of the image that contains visually represented text. The text layer is inserted behind the image that contains visual represented text such that it is hidden from the user when the electronic document is displayed, where the hidden text layer is configured to allow the user to perform a user operation on text corresponding to the recognized data.

Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a web page with a web browser in a computing device. A jamming trigger term is received from a database stored in the computing device. A targeted age group is also received. The jamming trigger term is located in the web page. An instruction is provided to an audio system of the computing device to play a sound wave at a frequency. The frequency is audible by the targeted age group but not an older age group according to a frequency audibility table. A web scrapping operation can be performed on the web page after the web page is downloaded by the web browser. The targeted age group can be persons eighteen years of age and younger and wherein the frequency comprises a twenty kilo-hertz value (20 kHz).

Abstract: Methods and systems of inter-relating themes via a design and a layout relationship are disclosed, offering flexibility in design and data relationships of media-based projects. In one embodiment, an Internet user at a user-device selects a theme from a plurality of available themes, the theme being a collection of designsets. The system automatically selects a design from the designsets that best fits the content provided by the user. The design automatically inherits a layout from a layoutset corresponding to the automatically selected design. The design defines style and formatting over the layout, while the layout defines the locations of photos and text. When a user selects a different theme, the system can quickly adjust the design without input from the user, increasing user friendliness and usability. The user can create additional personal customizations, and print the final design to create a photobook or other media-based project.

For a given document, a graphic may be identified from within the document and extracted from the document. The extracted graphic may then be classified based on the extracted structural feature. Furthermore, a method and apparatus are provided for generating a reusable graphic from a document.

A presentation is then generated based on the received touch input, identified type objects, and identified layout. The presentation data is then displayed.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a media-editing application that includes several background-rendering modules. These modules automatically render segments of a media presentation in the background of a system on which the media-editing application is being executed. By performing rendering in the background, the background-rendering modules produce rendered results for the segments. That is, the modules pre-generate playable media output data (e.g., composite video frames or audio samples) of the media presentation without interrupting other operations (e.g., editing operations, etc.) of the media-editing application. The background-rendering modules in some embodiments include a first background-rendering module and a second background-rendering module. The first background-rendering module determines a prioritized order in which the segments are to be rendered.

Abstract: A system and method for tracing an electronic document within a publication. A message is associated with the electronic document as an identification thereof. The binary representation of the message is encoded as a mark defining a drawing arrangement of geometrical shapes which encode the message in the glyph of the mark e.g. a simple text, a single character, a geometrical shape etc. or in the glyph of a single character then used as a mark. The mark is added to the electronic document to generate a traceable document having the message as identification within the publication. The mark is provided at a specific location with respect to the borders and/or center of the traceable document. The traceable document thus created is added to the publication. To track the document, the publication is sent to an electronic scanner module implementing a hook. The hook searches for the geometrical shapes representing the message in the mark.

Abstract: The invention provides, in some aspects, methods for electronic document distribution that permit automatic transmittal of a set of documents to one or more recipients. The set includes documents pre-existing at the time the distribution is specified, as well as at least one that is subsequently created. Such “mixed-mode” distribution can be used, for example, to effect automatic distribution of pre-existing word processing documents (or spreadsheets, etc.), along with a newly scanned document, e.g., a hand-written note.
