Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for communicating information in a virtual environment are presented. A graphical user interface is provided to a user, where the graphical user interface displays a virtual environment that includes one or more virtual objects. A virtual object may be linked to a section of a digital document. Selection of the virtual objects in the virtual environment by the user is monitored. Information regarding the section of the digital document is communicated to the user based on receiving an indication that a virtual object is selected.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for intelligent data presentation are provided herein. Data can be presented on similar devices having different characteristics in different manners. For example, data may be rendered in a first manner on a first device having one monitor, the same data may be rendered in a second manner on a second device having two displays or a different display size. Financial information, sales data, banking information, etc. may be presented in a variety of ways based on capabilities or properties of a device accessing the information or data. Similarly, renderings may be selected based on interaction capabilities or interaction options a user may have with different renderings or presentations. In other embodiments, user interaction with an automated teller machine (ATM), call center, vehicle, or other interface can be based on device properties or device capabilities.

The storage stores a setting Web page which is of a Web page used to change a setting of the image processing apparatus. The communication unit transmits the setting Web page to the terminal on a request from the terminal. The changing unit changes the setting of the image processing apparatus when a request is made to the setting Web page from the terminal. The setting Web page includes a description that notifies another image processing apparatus, which can conduct communication with the terminal, of a setting content of the image processing apparatus, the setting content being input to the setting Web page from the terminal.

Abstract: A method of case management includes receiving a plurality of previously executed case instances, receiving a selection of current case attributes and at least one candidate case outcome during runtime of a currently executing case instance, and generating a visual representation of case distributions using the previously executed case instances. The visual representation depicts a correlation between the current case attributes and the at least one candidate case outcome, and is generated using analytics applied to the plurality of previously executed case instances.

Abstract: An improved mechanism is provided for presenting and navigating bookmarks in a set of electronic reading material (ERM). In one implementation, when a portion of an ERM is displayed, a graphical element, which represents the contents of the ERM, is also displayed. A current location indicator and one or more bookmark indicators are further displayed on or within proximity of the graphical element to show where, within the ERM, the currently displayed portion is located and where bookmarks are located. This provides a useful graphical overview to a user. In addition, the mechanism may facilitate navigation to a bookmark by enabling a user to select one of the bookmark indicators to navigate directly to that bookmark. The mechanism may also enable a user to navigate sequentially from bookmark to bookmark using a previous bookmark control and/or a next bookmark control. With these capabilities, bookmark presentation and navigation are improved.

Information is camouflaged for computer device display by analyzing visual characteristics of baseline information designated to be displayed on a portion of an electronic display and causing the electronic display to display replacement information within a region of the electronic display in place of information or content that would normally be displayed within the region. The replacement information visually conforms to the visual characteristics so as to be camouflaged within other information displayed outside the region. An input/output interface may be at least intermittently displayed within a section of the region to permit a user to interact with a data stream providing the replacement information. When the input/output interface is displayed, it may also be camouflaged to conform to the visual characteristics of the baseline information.

The scrolling reader application may further include a module to serialize a text document into a character array usable to form a text stream.

If any page is selected from the images of preview display, the selected page is displayed as a reduced image at a position different from the preview images. Abstract: A document machine may detect a request for provision of a document while that document is available for provisioning. The document machine may update a count of referrals to the document and, based on the count of referrals transgressing a threshold value, generate a substitute document based on the original document. This substitute document may then be provided in response to further requests for the original document after the original document is no longer available for provision. The updating of the count of referrals is based on the identifier of a network that referred a request detected while the first document was still available for provision. The document machine may then provide the substitute document in lieu of the original document in response to a further request for provision of the first document.

Abstract: A solution is provided that allows a user to provide an alternate set of metadata for any number of data points within a report, while in a report design environment. They may lay down a grid on the work area and specify the data by placing the relevant dimensional metadata, extracted from the source, in the grid as row headings and column headings. The user may then select either a column or a row from the grid and upon doing so may be provided with a mechanism to define alternate metadata that can describe all data points that are in the column or row in the target system. This allows for a much more user-friendly environment in which to specify metadata mappings between internal sources and external sources.
