Abstract: A system for providing a cloud streaming-based service menu, a method and a terminal device. The terminal device selects a particular step in a step-by-step service menu to make a request for driving a content and the service device, in response to the request, provides content access information and menu step information corresponding to the particular step selected and initializes a step in the step-by-step service menu provided to the terminal device for switching a state of the service menu to a state in which an additional access of another terminal device is possible, so as to provide the initialized step-by-step service menu to another initially accessed terminal device. When the terminal device re-accesses, the service device will provide the service menu of the particular step corresponding to the menu step information to another accessed terminal device.

Abstract: Particular embodiments arrange a plurality of objects in a hierarchy, the hierarchy having one or more layers and each layer having at least one of the objects; display a portion of a sequence of first objects on a screen of a user device, the sequence of first objects all belong to a first layer in the hierarchy, each first object having as its children one or more second objects belonging to a second layer immediately below the first layer in the hierarchy; in response to a user scrolling through the sequence of first objects, estimate which specific first object in the sequence the user is likely to be viewing at a predetermined time in the future based on an acceleration of the user scrolling through the sequence of first objects; and preload the second objects that are children of the specific first object.

The coupler optically couples the photoelectric unit to the optical fiber unit. The supporting member defines a through stepped hole having a larger first hole and a smaller second hole. The supporting member includes a step portion between the first hole and the second hole. The second hole is closer to the PCB than the first hole. One of the supporting member and the coupler defines a plurality of wedged positioning holes, the other of the supporting member and the coupler comprises a plurality of wedged positioning poles corresponding to positioning holes, and the coupler is connected to the supporting member by inserting the positioning poles into the corresponding positioning holes.

Abstract: A method and/or system sorts data into data gravity wells on a data gravity wells membrane. A hashing logic executes instructions to convert raw data into a first logical address and first payload data, wherein the first logical address describes metadata about the first payload data. A hardware XOR unit compares the first logical address to a second logical address to derive a Hamming distance between the first and second logical addresses, wherein the second logical address is for a second payload data. A hardware data vector generator creates a data vector for the second payload data, wherein the data vector comprises the Hamming distance between the first and second logical addresses. A hardware data vector sorter then sorts data vectors into specific hardware data gravity wells on a data gravity wells membrane according to the Hamming distance stored in the data vector.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to detecting items lists. In one embodiment, a web browsing interaction history of a user associated with a given web page is analyzed. The web browsing interaction history indicates that the user interacted with at least one element of the web page. A document object model (DOM) of the given web page is constructed. A node within the DOM corresponding to the element in the web page is identified based on analyzing the web browsing interaction history. An ancestor node of the node that corresponds to an item list within the web page comprising the element is identified based on at least a distribution of child tags of the ancestor node.

The diff comparison can configure syntax of the first method to be a first navigable block of data in at least one of the versions of the first file. At least two versions of the first file can be presented to a user in a file difference window, and a user input can be received selecting the first navigable block of data. With the apparatuses and method of this invention, the pertinent help information can be dynamically provided for users according to user's operation history.

The computer readable medium may store program instructions for a syndication manager component communicatively coupled to a content producing component arranged to be executed by the processor. The syndication manager component may be operative to receive syndication content from the content producing component, and provide a syndication dialog through the content producing component to syndicate the syndication content using a content delivery platform. The syndication manager component may also syndicate the syndication content to form a syndication resource accessible from the content delivery platform over a network using a syndication referent. Abstract: A method for organizing a message thread containing one or more messages. A root message and reply groupings are identified, each reply grouping depending from the root message. Each reply grouping has one or more child reply messages depending from a common parent message. The child reply messages within each reply grouping are ordered in chronological order based on the time of each of the one or more child reply messages was received or sent. The reply groupings are hierarchically ordering based on a relationship between the reply grouping and its parent message. A single display allows a user to view the message thread and the content of all of the messages in accordance with the hierarchical ordering.

Abstract: Disclosed are several methods, apparatus, and a system to create, expose, and hide embedded secondary content data relevant to a primary content page of an electronic book generated by a content generating device. The method, system, and apparatus is enabled through a Y-axis slide apart gesture that is applied to a notification region of the primary content page such that the secondary content data is made visible when the Y-axis slide apart gesture is applied to the notification region. The method, system, and apparatus is also enabled through a Y-axis pinch close gesture that is applied to a boundary of an exposed pane that is appearing in the primary content page such that the Y-axis pinch close gesture collapses the exposed pane in which the secondary content data is made visible. In one embodiment, the system comprises an association server, an electronic book distribution server, and a content rendering device.

Abstract: Method and system enabling a user to select a data element out of a set of available data elements through the use of a hierarchical view (e.g. a tree). Whenever the user needs to choose a data element, the system collects the descriptions of all data elements that are both available and relevant in accordance with the specific use from a set of available data elements through the use of a hierarchical view. The tree represents each entity (data element) as a node and the properties of each entity as sub-nodes under it, possibly grouped into property groups represented as tree nodes. The system hides all implementation aspects of the data structure from the user—selection of the required value causes the underlying system to automatically perform all required actions in order to retrieve, calculate or search for the desired data element.

Abstract: A computer implemented system automatically launches a video to assist a computer user in navigating through a set of menus on a graphical user interface (GUI) without separately requiring the computer user to select a link to a video file or launch a software program designed to playback the video. The system executes a two-phase process for assisting the computer user in determining a replacement part for an OEM part. In the first phase, the system selectively presents a series of menus to the computer user to allow the computer user to identify the OEM part. A video is automatically played during the first phase of the process to assist the user in completing the first series of menus. After the computer user has completed the first menus, the system launches a second set of menus and begins playing a video to assist the computer user in determining options for the replacement part.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to user interfaces and more particularly to techniques for providing user interface which allows users to select filtering criteria and display filtered information accordingly. In various embodiments, related information is displayed on a hierarchical chart as nodes that are connected to one another. The hierarchical chart is updated after filtering criteria are applied, and the display visibility of the nodes are changed based on the filtering results. The hierarchical relationships among the nodes are maintained before and after the filtering process. In a specific embodiment, the nodes that do not meet filtering criteria are displayed at a low visibility level on the hierarchical chart.

Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and program for rendering a display of at least one data set name, wherein each data set is associated with one or more file components. A selection of one displayed data set name is received and names of the file components associated with the selected data set are displayed. Abstract: In general, techniques are described for providing a user interface to create report specifications and included source definitions for business reporting and analysis. For example, a computing device includes a user interface (UI) module for displaying a graphical user interface (GUI) and receiving a selection of a data element at a start location of the GUI. The UI module may display an overlay element having a boundary forming a plurality of paths from the start location to a plurality of end locations, the paths corresponding to a plurality of report options associated with the data element. The UI module may receive a second input indicative of a traversal of the overlay element along a chosen path. The computing device may include a definition module operable to create a definition for a report specification based at least in part on the report option corresponding to the chosen path.

Abstract: A method and terminal for displaying a cell phone menu with personalized setting are provided. Abstract: Certain implementations of the disclosed technology may include systems, methods, and apparatus for securely storing and sharing personal information. According to an example implementation, a method is provided. The method includes receiving, at a mobile device, user profile information. The method includes storing the received user profile information in a database on the mobile device, where access to the user profile information is controlled by an operating system on the mobile device. The operating system selectively makes the user profile information available to a plurality of applications. The method further includes receiving a request for user information, and in response to the request, accessing the database, selecting at least a subset of stored user profile information in the database to be used to populate one or more fields, and populating the one or more fields with a selected subset of the stored user profile information.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a timeline search tool for searching and navigating a timeline. The timeline search tool includes a search field that allows a user to search for clips. In some embodiments, each clip in the list of clips is selectable such that a selection of the clip causes the timeline to navigate to the position of the clip in the timeline. In some embodiments, the timeline search tool allows a user to search for clips based on keywords or markers.

The method comprises the steps of selecting aid files stored in a computer ad server, designating the url for the ad file, the url for the website page where the ad will be displayed, the url for the websites to which a user will be directed depending on the user's reaction to the advertisement, storing in a dispatcher server database a data string representing the ad placement commands with a url representing a dispatcher server-based application to execute said ad placement commands, and including said data string on said website for launching said dispatcher server command file.

Abstract: In a method for identifying a table of contents in a document, an ordered sequence of text fragments is derived from the document. A table of contents is selected as a contiguous sub-sequence of the ordered sequence of text fragments satisfying the criteria: (i) entries defined by text fragments of the table of contents each have a link to a target text fragment having textual similarity with the entry; (ii) no target text fragment lies within the table of contents; and (iii) the target text fragments have an ascending ordering corresponding to an ascending ordering of the entries defining the target text fragments.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improving the scrolling of user interfaces of electronic devices are provided. For example, a user interface may provide various visual, aural, and tactile enhancements for increasing the ease and speed with which a user may scroll through a list of listings to highlight a particular listing. Each listing may be associated with a particular entry in a media library. Moreover, each listing may be associated with one of multiple sublists in the list of listings, and each sublist may be defined based on a characteristic of a first piece of metadata associated with each entry in the media library. The various visual, aural, and tactile enhancements may be provided based on a relationship between a previously highlighted listing and a currently highlighted listing.

Abstract: A method for organizing, visualizing, and navigating data objects within a dataset is presented, including network visualization alongside a detailed information display. The method includes interactivity with the visualization through network panning, zooming, and node clicking. The network nodes represent the data objects. Node proximity and links represent similarity or other relatedness measures between respective data objects. The network can be displayed in full to illustrate large scale properties. Clicking the nodes provides further data object information of the highlighted node, which is displayed alongside the network.

Abstract: A system and method for creating or editing a graph diagram. A system provides a mechanism to specify constraints on edge way points. Constraints may specify alignment with other way points, distribution of way points, spacing from other way points or nodes, or other types of constraints. A system may automatically determine edge way point constraints based on edge direction, edge type, target nodes or regions of nodes, or other characteristics of edges. The system enables a combination of constraints specified by a user and automatically determined by the system. Way points are positioned based on associated constraints, and edges are routed based on their associated way points.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for script logic graphical mapping comprises displaying a panel associated with at least one script, presenting a branching logic associated with the panel and creating a graphical map of the panel and the branching logic where the graphical map allows zooming in to show panel logic associated with the panel, and the graphical map allows zooming out to show the branching logic associated with the panel.

Abstract: A system and method identifies different versions of the same document in a document collection. The system and method creates multiple candidate identifiers for each document based on information associated with the document, and processes the candidate identifiers according to language specific rules. The system and method compares the processed candidate identifiers for similarity, and identifies different versions of documents based on the similarity.

Abstract: Hierarchical structures are visualized and navigated using an orbital model. Sibling nodes are orbitally displayed in a generally circular arrangement along an orbital path. Choosing one of the orbitally displayed nodes opens it, moving down in the hierarchy. Nodes which were not chosen are undisplayed, and child node(s) of the chosen node are orbitally displayed. Node movements may be animated. A history displays recently chosen nodes. Choosing a parent node of the orbiting nodes undisplays the child nodes, and the parent node and its siblings are orbitally displayed, thereby moving up in the hierarchy. A user may select nodes from different parts of the hierarchy by moving them into a selection tray. Selected nodes can then be subjected to a specified batch operation. Controls are available for sorting nodes and/or for altering node appearance in the display.

Abstract: In one embodiment, components within different hierarchical document levels of a document have individual access rights and various hierarchical relationships with other components on different hierarchical levels within the document. Rules for automatically propagating changes in access rights for subordinate document components to superordinate document components are maintained. When an access right for a subordinate document component is changed, the change is automatically propagated to one or more superordinate document components, if permitted by the associated rules.

The sequence of items includes at least one compound item. A number of user interface (UI) elements are displayed in a GUI screen, wherein each UI element represents an item of the sequence of items, and wherein the UI elements are ordered according to the sequence of items. The displayed UI elements include a UI element representing a compound item of the sequence of items. The compound item could be selected as a currently active item. The UI element representing the selected compound item can gradually expand to display one or more new UI elements representing component items subordinate to the compound item. The first of the component items is automatically selected as a currently active item.

The resource links are used to navigate on the world wide web, on a local machine, on the interact, or on an intranet. A method of assessing a users competence in a category in the category structure comprising the steps of analyzing the users interaction with the resource links placed in the hierarchy table for that category and extracting a competence level for the user in that category.

Abstract: Graphical user interfaces and method for building Boolean queries and viewing search results using search cells, combination cells, toolbar, and menu bar. Search cells are movable within a workspace and contain a text field, facet type designation, advanced button, and hit count. Categories are chosen using a category walker. Combination cells, a Boolean combination of two or more selected search cells, are also movable and contain a combine icon, hit count, and an expression field. The Boolean query is depicted in a folder tree hierarchy, where search folders are shown within combination folders, which are represented as logical AND, OR, or MINUS folder icons. An applet in a browser accesses a server through the Internet.

Abstract: A computing device has a processor executing instructions to provide a graphical user interface rendered on a display device, the user interface includes a first control rendered on the display device and a second control rendered on the display device, wherein, by receiving input through the user interface of a selection within a proximity of at least one of the first control and the second control, the computing device renders at least one supplemental control on the display device corresponding to the selection.

Abstract: A system and method identifies a primary version out of different versions of the same document. The system selects a priority of authority for each document version based on a priority rule and information associated with the document version, and selects a primary version based on the priority of authority and information associated with the document version.
