Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems that enable radar-based authentication status feedback. A radar field is used to enable an electronic device to account for the user's distal physical cues to determine and maintain an awareness of the user's location and movements around the device. This awareness allows the device to anticipate some of the user's intended interactions and provide functionality in a timely and seamless manner, such as preparing an authentication system to authenticate the user before the user touches or speaks to the device. These features also allow the device to provide visual feedback that can help the user understand that the device is aware of the user's location and movements. In some cases, the feedback is provided using visual elements presented on a display.

Abstract: According to the prior art, it is necessary to display necessary buttons depending on situations if a button for instructing stop/restart of a job common in multiple functions is displayed on a screen. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, an information processing apparatus comprises: a memory; and at least one processor in communication with the memory and configured to perform: displaying a display screen on an operation unit, the display screen including a display area of an application and a common display area containing a plurality of buttons commonly used in each application; and controlling of changing a button to be displayed in the common display area depending on a job status.

Abstract: A method for constructing an interactive digital catalog, a computer-readable storage medium and an interactive digital catalog using the method are provided. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, the interactive digital catalog including at least one page is provided. Then, the at least one operable unified matter is presented and/or managed by laying out the at least one operable unified matter on the at least one page according to a predefined rule. The computer-readable storage medium has a computing program for executing the above method. The interactive digital catalog is constructed by the above method.

Abstract: An apparatus shares a common displaying space with other apparatuses, and stores a priority with which data is to be transmitted, in association with an application which operates using each window displayed on the common displaying space. In response to updating of data by each application, the apparatus performs transmission and reception of updated data generated by the application. Upon reception of first updated data generated by a first application, the apparatus changes, based on proximity between a first window of the first application and a second window of a second application, a second priority that is stored in association with the second application. When second updated data is generated by the second application that operates using the second window displayed on the apparatus, the apparatus determines, based on the changed second priority, a turn in order of transmission of the second updated data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a content-based security for computing devices. An example method includes identifying content rendered by a mobile application, the content being rendered during a session, generating feature vectors from the content and determining that the feature vectors do not match a classification model. The method also includes providing, in response to the determination that the feature vectors do not match the classification model, a challenge configured to authenticate a user of the mobile device. Another example method includes determining a computing device is located at a trusted location, capturing information from a session, the information coming from content rendered by a mobile application during the session, generating feature vectors for the session, and repeating this until a training criteria is met. The method also includes training a classification model using the feature vectors and authenticating a user of the device using the trained classification model.

Abstract: A storage and application controller that is coupled to a plurality of storage and application execution clouds is maintained. The storage and application controller transmits, via a first communications protocol, an application to a first storage and application execution cloud. The storage and application controller transmits, via a second communications protocol, a copy of the application to a second storage and application execution cloud. In response to a compromise of the first communications protocol, execution of the application is stopped and replaced via execution of the copy of the application.

Abstract: A natural language processing system identifies an action element, a target element, and command element(s) in a text natural language command. For each identified command element, in the order it appears in the text natural language command, the natural language processing system accesses a playlist access matrix according to a matrix access counter to identify a playlist pointer associated with that command element, determines whether that playlist pointer indicates its associated command element is a best match relative to any other command elements that have already been considered and, if so, updates a playlist entry identifier with that playlist pointer and increments the matrix access counter. When all of the command elements have been considered, the natural language processing system uses the playlist entry identifier to identify a computing language command in a command playlist, and executes the computing language command on the target element based on the action element.

Abstract: A method, device and system for transceiving clinical trial related information includes a client device and a server that communicate. An application of the client device has a client application of a clinical trial service whose server application is running on the server. A coordinator user profile with credentials and a user profile with credentials are maintained. The coordinator credentials are determined to be be authorized. The coordinator user obtains access to the application. Coordinator input data triggers user change for the client device. A request to the server application indicating the triggered user change is sent. Credentials are received from the server application and associated with the user profile. The coordinator user is logged out by disconnecting coordinator level access to the proprietary application and resetting the coordinator credentials and session data within the client device. The credentials are stored for automatic first logging in of the user.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are provided for wirelessly communicating configuration data from mobile devices for use by interactive display devices. In some aspects, a processing device can identify two or more mobile devices participating in a session for utilizing an interactive display device. The processing device can receive configuration data from each of the mobile devices via a wireless transceiver. The processing device can configure an interactive display device to present outputs during the session using attributes that the processing device identifies from the received configuration data. In additional or alternative aspects, a processing device can identify at least one mobile device participating in a session for utilizing an interactive display device. The processing device can associate outputs presented by the interactive display device with an entity that is identifiable from configuration data that is received from the mobile device.

Abstract: A method, device and system for transceiving clinical trial related information includes a client device and a server that communicate. An application of the client device has a client application of a clinical trial service whose server application is running on the server. A coordinator user profile with credentials and a user profile with credentials are maintained. The coordinator credentials are determined to be be authorized. The coordinator user obtains access to the application. Coordinator input data triggers user change for the client device. A request to the server application indicating the triggered user change is sent. Credentials are received from the server application and associated with the user profile. The coordinator user is logged out by disconnecting coordinator level access to the proprietary application and resetting the coordinator credentials and session data within the client device. The credentials are stored for automatic first logging in of the user.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system which enables cooperative rich media content management, sharing, and publishing across a distributed set of Web sites, Web servers, and media servers based on control information in an online database. Media files are housed on any number of heterogeneous media repositories. The system of the present invention is used for managing, sharing, and publishing rich media content including video, images, animations, audio, etc. Authorized viewers access media files through dynamically generated content and media links embedded on Web sites. Content administrators publish media entries to any number of such distributed Web sites, and can set viewer permissions for individual video entries when published on specific Web sites. Content administrators can also dynamically establish media sharing and access relationships.

Abstract: Systems and methods of batch uploading of content to a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for receiving an upload request from a user through a user interface to upload multiple items and sequentially uploading each of the multiple items to the host server. In one embodiment, the user is able to navigate away from the user interface through which the upload request was submitted prior to completion of the uploading of each of the multiple items to the host server. In addition, the upload of the multiple items is not interrupted if the user accesses a link on the user interface causing another user interface to launch in a browser.

Abstract: Techniques for real-time observation assessment are provided. The techniques, which are designed for educators, take advantage of handheld computers, desktop/laptop computers and Internet access in order to reduce the paperwork associated with conventional educational assessments. An array of instructional assessment applications are designed to run on handheld computers. The instructional assessment applications may be based on existing and widely used paper methodologies. A common Web-based platform for assessment application distribution, selection, download, data management and reporting is also provided. Users can then periodically synchronize instructional data (assessments, diagnostic results, notes and/or schedules) to the Web site. At the Web site, browser-based reports and analysis can be viewed, administered and shared via electronic mail.

Abstract: Group-based, periodic education intervention that provides a targeted curriculum selected specifically for each period based on current skill assessment data is described. For example, candidates' skill levels in multiple skills are assessed, and groups are formed based on commonality of skill level. A period-specific curriculum is generated for each group to address the specific needs of the individuals of the respective group. After delivery of the period-specific targeted curriculum over the period, re-assessments of the current skill of the group members are made, and a period-specific curriculum for the subsequent period is generated and delivered. Fidelity of an implementation of the curriculum is analyzed, and alerts, reminders, and reports are provided to improve fidelity of an implementation of the curriculum.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are described for bumping a mobile device, such as a smart phone, against a fixed poster board display at a store to initiate a download of coupons, advertisements, or other benefits to the mobile device. Products can be rated by a user's up/down bump or other bump patterns. Using accelerometer-based inertial measurements, multiple users can control multiple mouse cursors on a large display with their mobile devices in order to select information to be downloaded to their mobile devices. The multiple users can bump the display in order to select their items simultaneously.

Abstract: A graphics system and a multi-user computer system are disclosed. The graphics system comprises a graphics processing unit (GPU) for processing pixels. It further includes a multi-user manager for allocating pixel processing capability for each one of a plurality of users, wherein each user uses a display and an input device. The algorithm causes a two-dimensional array of three-dimensional shapes to appear on said display and rotate about an axis and undulate in a wave-like manner without interaction from a viewer during an attract mode. After the touch sensitive input device is contacted by a user, the algorithm may display an interaction mode wherein the shapes may be caused to rotate about an axis by a user's contacting the touch sensitive input device at a point on the display device corresponding to a three-dimensional shape and moving such a contact point in the direction of rotation to expose information displayed on the surface of the three-dimensional shape.

An example method includes initiating, by a computing device, a new user profile setup process to create a user profile at the computing device, the computing device having at least one other existing user profile. The method further includes automatically selecting, by the computing device, a wallpaper from a set of two or more wallpapers, wherein each wallpaper of the set of two or more wallpapers comprises a different graphical image, wherein the wallpaper is not associated with any of the other user profiles of the computing device. Additionally, one or more of the collaborators can be rewarded for their participation in the story.
