Embodiments provide a method performed by a device for placing a second object on a first object on screen, including moving the first object on screen, responsive to a drag moving the second object over the first object in a first direction, in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and placing the second object at end position of the drag in the first object, when the drag is terminated for the second object. The method allows a drag for moving the second object to a vicinity of an end of the first object or to an outside area of the first object beyond the end of the first object.

Abstract: A vehicle self-driving vehicle system comprises a self-driving vehicle and a remotely situated vehicle control device in data communication with vehicle and operable by a user situated outside of the vehicle. The vehicle comprises sensors and a processor configured to generate steering, acceleration and braking control signals. The vehicle has a GNSS receiver for determining a location of vehicle, a radiofrequency data transceiver, and a first-person view (FPV) camera for generating FPV images transmitted to the remotely situated vehicle control device. The processor is further configured to receive supplemental vehicle control input from the remotely situated vehicle control device, and wherein the processor is further configured to modify the steering, acceleration and braking control signals based on the supplemental vehicle control input.

The number of items is displayed based on the numerical position on a list selected for display. Abstract: In a method for automatically navigating potential websites for predictive browsing based on user activities along with efficiency of verifying content updates, a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of websites and its associated attributes that a user visits can be recorded and stored in a storage engine. The potential sites can be predicted by a predictive engine component based upon a past browsing history and various environmental factors that are recorded in the storage engine. A dynamic content detection engine component examines each potential websites and detects if the site has been updated. The predictive engine component enables the user to navigate to the potential websites thereby permitting faster website browsing.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and graphical user interfaces are provided for showing calendar events that are not visible on screen. Event objects are shown when an event is within a viewable time range, but the event object is partially drawn on screen (e.g. clipped) when the event is not within a viewable time range. The displayed parts of event objects indicating off-screen event can stack on top of each other to provide information about a number of off-screen events for a particular day. With the events clipped and stacked, a user has a visual indicator that there are events off screen for a particular day. As a user scrolls to the time of the event, the event can completely reveals itself.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) capable of presenting a display that indicates that navigation controls can be used for navigating through results of a search using a search engine. The GUI highlights the GUI control that accepts text characters for indicating a search term such that the area contrasts with the display of an adjacent display area in response to entering the search term. Once the search is initiated, such as by actuating a search initiation control, the GUI may change to highlight navigation controls to indicate that those controls can be used to navigate between search result hits. Additional icons or controls may be displayed to further indicate the function of navigation controls and actions that may be taken to further modify the display of controls, such as collapsing some of the controls.

Abstract: Providing a user interface overlay to a native graphical user interface (GUI) of a device is described herein. By way of example, the overlay can include a graphical presentation layer (GPL) that can selectively mask and/or expose functionality of the native GUI of the device. In addition, the GPL can bundle disparate portions of native functionality in accord with one or more logical associations between a title, tag, application, purpose, type, or like qualifier, associated with the disparate portions. In addition, user preferences and device/network intelligence components can dynamically customize portions of the GPL to match a location, locale, mood, or setting or like situational context of a device and/or user.

The method includes accessing the web site using a browser with a browser module, where the web site comprises a number of web pages having information in a first format, and obtaining a profile corresponding to the web site, where the profile defines a manner to capture information in a first format from the web site. The method further includes capturing information, by the browser module, from at least one of the number of web pages based on the profile and sending the information captured by the browser module to a destination application, where the destination application is external to the browser and where the destination application is configured to use the information in a second format.

In response to the selection of one of the television series, episodes of the selected television series are displayed in a third window of the guide. Selecting an episode displays the episode information in a fourth window of the guide.

Abstract: Optimized object traversal techniques are presented to move an object focus in an intuitive manner in a display interface using a navigational controller. The optimized object traversal enables two-directional movement (e.g., up, down, left, right, or other direction) of the object focus and not confined to a sequential movement order. The optimized object traversal may vary an order of the object focus selection between objects based on a selection path of a user (e.g., which object previously had the object focus). The optimized object traversal techniques use an edge point on the object having a current object focus to identify a next object to receive the object focus. Objects may be identified based on an orthogonal alignment, a distance from the edge point, a container order (e.g., in tie breaking instances) and/or by a coded assignment.
