Operator Interface Patents (Class 725/37)
  • Patent number: 11223871
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for automatically navigating a graphical user interface (GUI) of a media device. In embodiments, objects (e.g. selectable items) in device GUI menu screens may be located, identified, and selected by another device (e.g., a switch) using several types of image processing, image recognition, and automated screen navigation techniques. For instance, a device may receive an operation request, for example from a user, receive a video signal from the connected media device, extract a video frame, process the video frame using one or more algorithms, and automatically navigate the GUI of the device by transmitting one more navigation commands for application to the GUI. In this manner, multi-step, time-consuming manual GUI navigation to achieve a desired result may be reduced to an automated technique, allowing users to save time and frustration in navigating a GUI using a remote control to find a particular resource.

  • Patent number: 11190833
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for reducing network traffic when retrieving media guidance data. For example, a media guidance application receives a first user selection to display a group of media asset identifiers (e.g., video-on-demand listings) and retrieves detailed information from a remote server relating to the media asset identifiers to display to a user. The media guidance application then may receive a user selection to display a second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., purchased media assets). If any of the media asset identifiers are common to both groups, then the media guidance application already obtained the detailed information and the detailed information does not need to be retransmitted in order to be displayed. Thus, the media guidance application only retrieves detailed information for media asset identifiers unique to the second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., they are only on the purchased media asset list).

Abstract: In a method and system of training, one or more digital assets, such as two-dimensional and three-dimensional computer-generated objects, are superimposed over a live camera view to generate a simulated training scenario, referred to herein as augmented reality (“AR”) technology. By leveraging AR technology, a live simulation of real-world events, situations, and skills is generated for which an employee, student, customer, or any type of person in need of training, is being trained. A trainee is thus immersed directly into the training material. The physical environment and working conditions are integrated into the sequence of training material, and it does this live, that is, with immediate feedback from a camera's live screen view. This technique may, by way of examples, also be described as an automated guided tour used to facilitate employee on-boarding and training, or as a guided tour through a warehouse store for its customers.

Abstract: Various embodiments of methods and systems for network infrastructure configuration based on network device configuration templates are provided. A network device configuration template is received where the network device configuration template corresponds to network device configuration data based on template elements. Template elements include variable placeholders, versions, Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), firmware, and target devices identified in the network device configuration template. Values for the template elements are referenced from a dataset storage component. The network device configuration data are classified into different classification units. The network device configuration data are merged with the network device configuration template that programmatically defines configuration of network devices. A network device configuration instance is generated based on evaluating the template elements and replacing template elements with values from the dataset storage.

Abstract: Medical software tools platforms utilize a surgical display to provide access to specific medical software tools, such as medically-oriented applications or widgets, that can assist surgeons or surgical team in performing various procedures. In particular, an endoscopic camera may register the momentary rise in the optical signature reflected from a tissue surface and in turn transmit it to a medical image processing system which can also receive patient heart rate data and display relevant anomalies. Changes in various spectral components and the speed at which they change in relation to a source of stimulus (heartbeat, breathing, light source modulation, etc.) may indicate the arrival of blood, contrast agents or oxygen absorption. Combinations of these may indicate various states of differing disease or margins of tumors, and so forth. Also, changes in temperatures, physical dimensions, pressures, photoacoustic pressures and the rate of change may indicate tissue anomalies in comparison to historic values.
