Publication number: 20110203368Abstract: A special measuring bottle for measuring volume of solid includes a bottle body and a lid body. The bottle body is filled with a liquid and has an accommodating cavity to be accommodated with a sample solid and a reading cavity communicating with the accommodating cavity. The size of the inner edge of the accommodating cavity is larger than that of the reading cavity. Meanwhile, the accommodating cavity is formed an opening, and the reading cavity is arranged a plurality of graduations available for reading the level position of liquid. The lid body is sealed at the opening just like a shroud. Thereby, when the volume of a solid is measured by the displacing method, the accuracy of measurement by the special measuring bottle is higher than that by a common graduate of close volume, and by the special measuring bottle the specific weight of the sample solid can be less than that of the adapted liquid.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2010Publication date: August 25, 2011Inventors: Han-Rong ZHANG, Chia-Jung Hu

Publication number: 20080276705Abstract: A measuring device is disclosed that includes a plurality of measuring cups connected through a ring. Each measuring cup has a lobed sidewall defining a plurality of lobes of an epicycloidal configuration. Each lobe of smaller cup contacts an inner surface of the sidewall of the larger cup to define a void between the cups that facilitates air to flow between the cups. The flow of air prevents suction between the cups. Publication number: 20020062691Abstract: An infant drinking cup is described. The infant drinking cup is a first color when at room temperature. When the cup is filled with a cold beverage, the portion of the cup below the fill line changes to a second color. When handled by an infant, those areas below the fill line in contact with the infant's warm hands change color back to the first color. The process is fully reversible, such that the infant drinking cup can change from the cold color to the warm color, and vice versa, repeatedly.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2000Publication date: May 30, 2002Inventors: Brenda J. Patent number: 6250154Abstract: A fluid metering and measuring device is provided and which is particularly adapted to regulate ratios of oil and gasoline in a mixture of oil and gasoline used, for example, in a two-stroke engine. The device has a filling chamber with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. One-way check valves are disposed in both the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet to prevent backflow. A plunger stem comprising a piston disposed within the chamber. When the stem and attached piston are pulled upwardly, a vacuum is created in the chamber to cause a fluid, e.g. oil to flow into chamber and when depressed causes outflow. Gradations or indicia indicate the amount of oil drawn into the chamber to ensure proper fluid ratios. The metering device may be incorporated into any suitable container including a two compartment container wherein the compartments are in fluid communication.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1998Date of Patent: June 26, 2001Inventor: Daniel G.
