Phonograph Type Patents (Class 74/28)
  • Patent number: 7669492
Abstract: A rotational movement generating apparatus having a platform supported by a support assembly. The support assembly connects to a central point of the platform in a manner that allows the platform to rotate at the central point. A central axis is defined with the circular rotation of the platform. The platform defines a first radius line extending from the central point to an outer edge of the platform. An arm connects to the platform at a connection point that is spaced apart from the first radius line of the platform. A first portion of the arm ends at an elbow where it connects to a second portion of the arm. The second portion of the arm is positioned to extend in an upward direction over the first radius line at a predetermined angle towards the central axis. A thrust bearing is positioned above the platform in alignment with the central point. The thrust bearing has an outer disk rotatably encircling a thrust cylinder. The second portion of the arm connects to the outer disk.

  • Patent number: 4592561
Abstract: A steering system for vehicles comprising a steering wheel, a front steering sub-system including a drive pinion interlocked to be rotatable with the steering wheel, a rack shaft having a first rack engaged with the drive pinion and a second rack separated from the first rack, and a driven pinion engaged with the second rack; and a rear steering sub-system including an input shaft operatively connected to the driven pinion, an off-centered pin provided at one end of the input shaft, a pair of rear tie-rods adapted each respectively to turn either of the rear wheels, and a joint member relatively rotatably connected to the off-centered pin and both of the rear tie-rods. The joint member has a longitudinal axis thereof extending transversely of the vehicle. The axis of the off-centered pin is located substantially on the longitudinal axis. The rear tie-rods are connected to the joint member substantially on the longitudinal axis substantially at the same level as the axis of the off-centered pin.

  • Patent number: 4120422
Abstract: A system for storing and transporting flat board-like elements of predetermined thickness, such as printed circuit boards, comprising a rack for storing and transporting the boards and apparatus for feeding boards to and removing boards from the rack. The rack comprises a plurality of upright partition members mounted on a frame in a uniformly spaced relation so as to define a plurality of side-by-side stalls each of a width adequate to accommodate a board-like element in an upright storage position. Supports associated with the partitions support a plurality of board-like elements in the stalls so that the rack can be moved without the board-like elements falling off. The elements are edgewise accessible in the stalls and a pivoted body member is on the rack in a novel manner which enables it to function as a ratcheting apparatus movable successively from stall to stall for the purpose of moving the elements therein in directions to facilitate removal thereof from the stall.

  • Patent number: 4030137
Abstract: An improved magnetic read/write head-positioning apparatus including a cantilevered lead screw head carriage-driving mechanism and a damping assembly for damping any transverse motion of the unsupported end of the lead screw. The damping assembly includes a leaf spring having one end affixed to the supporting frame and the other end positioned opposite the unsupported end of the lead screw, and a slider button disposed between the leaf spring and the unsupported lead screw end and carried by the lead screw so as to frictionally engage the leaf spring and cause a force to be exerted on the unsupported lead screw end tending to resist any transverse motion thereof.
