With Nut Ejectors Patents (Class 81/124.1)
  • Patent number: 11548135
Abstract: A kitchen instrument with a replaceable head is described having a handle, an ejection shaft, and an ejection knob. The handle is mostly hollow with an opening on a first side and an opening on the second side opposite the first side. The opening on the first side includes an indent shaped to secure a replaceable head by preventing exiting from the indent and also from rotating. The replaceable head has a connector with a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion shaped to be secured in the indent. An ejection shaft is sized and arranged to be inserted in the second side and pass through the handle. The ejection shaft is sized to press on the replaceable head to eject the replaceable head. Multiple replaceable kitchen utensils in the form of replaceable heads are attachable to the same handle of the kitchen instrument.

  • Patent number: 10030688
Abstract: According to a first aspect of the invention we provide an apparatus (1) for use with a threaded fastener including: —an inner sleeve member (100) having an internal surface threadedly engagable with the fastener and a tapered external surface; and an outer sleeve member (200) having an inversely tapered internal surface rotatably engagable with the tapered external surface of the inner sleeve member. Advantageously, the invention allows for an increased load bearing surface area between the inner sleeve member (100), which is clamped, and the outer sleeve members (200) without increasing the overall diameter of the apparatus (1) 6; a three dimensional load bearing surface area rather than a conventional two dimensional plane; more efficiently and evenly distributed load stress distribution over the load bearing surface area; higher torsion strength; and apparatus with lower mass, dimensions and volume.

Abstract: A socket for driving a lug nut. The socket may include a tapered external surface which eliminates shoulders which might otherwise exist at the external surface of the socket. The tapered external surface may be formed as a sleeve. In a second implementation, the sleeve may both provide the tapered external surface and may also cover one end of the socket to increase the overall diameter and hence grippability of the socket. The socket may be fabricated from steel, while either of the sleeves may be fabricated from a lighter material such as aluminum or an alloy thereof. The socket may have a chamfer at the internal termination of the wrench surface of the socket to better seat lug nuts having a correspondingly tapered configuration.

Abstract: A socket assembly includes a socket having a mounting hole which includes a plurality of insides and yield recesses located alternatively between the insides. A control member is rotatably mounted to the socket and has a through hole, a plurality of stops extend inward from an inner periphery of the through hole. The stops are deformable when being applied with a force along the axis of the through hole. A polygonal object can be forced into the mounting hole by squeezing and bending the stops. After the object is loosened and received in the socket, the stops support the nut from dropping from the mounting hole. When the control member is rotated to off align the stops from the path that the corners of the polygonal object may drop, the object is easily take out from the socket.

  • Patent number: 6748832
Abstract: The present invention 10 discloses a universal lug wrench that can be used by ordinary people to loosen and fasten the lug nuts 12 on automobile tires 14 without undue strain on the users part. This is made possible by a supporting adjustment stand 16 and the longer arm 18 of the wrench 20. The present invention 10 is also easy to disassemble and store and also versatile as the sockets 22, 23 for the lug nuts 12 of different sizes can easily be interchanged. The purpose of the wrench 20 is to exert a torque on a lug nut 12 at the socket 22 end and around the axis by pressing the handle end 21. The improved wrench of the present invention 10 eliminates the unwanted torque generated by a conventional wrench 24. The present invention 10 has an extension 54 for the sockets 22 that are inserted into the adjustable clamp 56 and provides a pivoting point for the wrench 20. Various sockets 22, 23 can be interchangeably used for lug nuts 12 of different sizes.
