Abstract: A pipe cutter comprises a rotary head having an axis of rotation, and a housing gear is coaxial with the rotary head such that the housing gear and rotary head have a common axis of rotation. A pipe slot extends into the rotary head and the housing gear, and a pipe cradle is provided in the pipe slot, and serves to receive a pipe. A cutting wheel is associated with the rotary head and a wheel biasing member urges the cutting wheel to extend into the pipe slot. A primary drive source is operatively connected to the housing gear by a gear system that rotates the housing gear and the rotary head about the common axis of rotation. Because the cutting wheel is biased to extend into the pipe slot and contacts a pipe placed therein, the cutting wheel revolves around the pipe and cuts into the pipe during rotation of the rotary head. The primary drive source may be manual or automated.
Abstract: A pliers-type pipe or tube cutter includes first and second members pivotably movable with respect to one another. At least one adjustable cutting wheel is supported on one of the opposing jaw portions to be operably engagable with a tube or pipe to be cut. In addition, at least one cleaning element is supported on one of the opposing jaw portions for operable engagement with an exterior surface of the tube or pipe during the cutting process.
Abstract: A tool comprises a handle, a fixed jaw securely mounted to the first end of the handle, and a movable jaw mounted to and slidable relative to the handle. The movable jaw includes an operative section for cooperating with an operative section of the fixed jaw. A ratchet wheel is rotatably mounted to the handle. A gear meshes with a rack of the movable jaw such that the gear is driven to urge the movable jaw to move with respect to the fixed jaw when the ratchet wheel is turned. The operative section of the movable jaw is moved toward the operative section of the fixed jaw when the ratchet wheel is turned in a direction. The operative section of the movable jaw is moved away from the operative section of the fixed jaw when the ratchet wheel is turned in a reverse direction.
Abstract: A bar clamp having a fixed jas and a movable jaw which is radially movable over both short and long distances to clamp against a workpiece and is operable using one hand with complete control by the operator at all times. The jaws may either face one another while being mounted on the same dise of a handle/grip assembly or face in opposite directions while being mounted on opposite sides of the handle/grip assembly whereby they may be incrementally advanced by the trigger handle/driving lever. Another embodiment uses a substrate comprising a plurality of apertures to receive posts thus acting as a vise type of clamp/wrench.

Abstract: A hand tool or clamp, which is operable with one hand, includes a fixed jaw and a movable jaw. The movable jaw connects at one end to a movable slide bar. One way drive means, by operation of a trigger handle, releasably engages the slide bar with advances the movable jaw toward the fixed jaw or away from the fixed jaw. Disengagement of the one way drive means will allow for manual return movement of the movable jaw.

Abstract: A thread cutting machine for pipes comprises a machine base on which pipe holding chucks, a pipe rotation drive mechanism, a thread cutting mechanism and a threaded coupling holding chuck mechanism adapted to hold a threaded coupling such as socket, elbow or the like in position are provided. The machine is capable of fastening the threaded coupling to the pipe after pipe threads have been formed as well as the inherent pipe cutting-off and thread cutting functions.
