Patent number: 11583994Abstract: A dustproof structure of a hand tool includes a tool body and a dustproof element. The tool body has a shank. A predetermined portion of the shank is concavely provided with a through hole. The dustproof element is flexible, is provided at the through hole of the shank, and can be opened and closed. The dustproof element closes the through hole when not subjected to an applied force and is elastically deformed to render the through hole into an open state when subjected to the applied force. In normal conditions, therefore, the dustproof element can block foreign matter from entering the through hole. When it is desired to perform a lubricating or adjusting operation on a component in the through hole of the hand tool, the operation can be carried out after directly applying a force to, and thus deforming, the dustproof portion, without having the dustproof element removed.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2021Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: KABO Tool CompanyInventor: Chih-Ching Hsieh

Patent number: 5680806Abstract: A flow control valve has a gate connected between an operating fluid inlet and outlet. An actuator permits manual adjustment of the gate area to allow fluid to pass from the inlet to the outlet at a threshold rate of flow for a threshold pressure at the first inlet. A biasing mechanism cooperable with the gate and linearly responsive to variations in a control pressure applied to a control inlet of the valve constantly automatically readjusts the area of the gate in proportion to the control pressure. In a constant speed pneumatic motor application of the valve, the motor inlet pressure is applied to the control inlet of the valve and the motor outlet pressure is applied to the operating fluid inlet of the valve. A regulator connected to the motor inlet senses the pressure at the motor outlet. In operation, at idle, the threshold flow rate through the valve is selected by manual adjustment of the valve actuator or stem. The load is added and the motor outlet pressure decreases.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1996Date of Patent: October 28, 1997Inventor: Michael F. Henry

Patent number: 5390573Abstract: Axially extending lobes extend radially from an internally threaded nut and form axial troughs that receive a respective axial cone mounted in the socket of a driver, the cones being rotatably driven against the lobes to apply a threading torque to the nut. At a predetermined torque, an axial outer radial end portion of the material forming the lobe is plastically deformed, but not sheared off, thereby allowing the socket to rotate and the cones to advance against the next respective lobe. The deformed lobe indicates to the user that the nut was properly torqued and the deformed material does not shear off thereby indicating that the nut had not been tampered with. To permit relaxation, a second torquing could be done at a later time.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1993Date of Patent: February 21, 1995Assignee: Detroit Tool Industries CorporationInventor: Brian Mann
