  • Patent number: 10343265
Abstract: A reversible planetary gear driver tool drives and removes fasteners and includes a first driving block, a planetary gear system, and a second driving block. The tool provides a speed advantage configuration and a torque advantage configuration. In the speed advantage configuration, a handle engages with the first driving block and a bit engages with the second driving block. Rotation of the casing is prevented. The first driving block rotates at a first input speed, and the tool converts the first input speed to a faster second output speed of the second driving block. In the torque advantage configuration, the casing is reversed and the handle engages with the second driving block and the bit engages with the first driving block. As the second driving block rotates at a first input torque, the tool converts the first input torque to a higher output torque of the first driving block.

  • Patent number: 8869655
Abstract: A light bulb changing tool comprising a holding structure configured to engage a light bulb, the holding structure configured along an axis, the motorized holding structure configured to actuate in a first direction and a second direction. The light bulb changing tool further includes a force generator configured to selectively force the light bulb against the holding structure and a control unit configured to remotely communicate with the holding structure and the force generator, wherein the electronic control unit sends control signals to drive the holding structure to selectively move in the first direction and the second direction and/or to activate the force generator. The tool further comprises an arm member for positioning the holding structure in a desired configuration to engage the light bulb, wherein the arm member is coupled to the holding structure. The holding structure further comprises a rotator mechanism configured to rotate the holding structure in the first direction about the axis.

  • Patent number: 8584554
Abstract: A torque multiplier includes a main body, a torque input shaft, at least one torque sensor, an angle sensor, and an information transmission circuit. The main body contains therein at least one gear train. The gear train has upper and lower ends respectively forming a torque input port and a torque output shaft. The torque output shaft is coupleable with a tool piece, such as a socket. The torque input shaft has an end fit into the torque input port and an opposite end coupleable with a torque device, such as a hand tool, an electrical tool, or a pneumatic tool. The torque device applies a torque input to the torque input shaft that in turn rotates the gear train to provide a multiplied torque output to the torque output shaft. The torque sensor is mounted to a surface of the torque output shaft of the gear train of the main body to detect the torque value of the torque output shaft and provide a torque value signal.

  • Patent number: 6336381
Abstract: A pipe wrench is provided having a elongated housing, a motor disposed within the housing, and a pipe attachment structure connected to the housing. A rotatable shaft extends from within the housing, transverse to the axis of the housing, and is rotated by the motor. A pair of drive rollers are mounted on the shaft. The pipe wrench further includes a support structure on the housing, a curved retaining arm pivotally mounted on the support structure, and a plurality of free-spinning rollers mounted on the retaining arm. In use, a pipe is placed within the retaining arm in contact with the free-spinning rollers and the handle is moved to bring the drive rollers into contact with the pipe. The motor causes the shaft to rotate which then rotates the pipe.
