The novel rotary shear attachment may be incorporated into an improved rotary tool, may be incorporated into existing rotary tools and may also be used with a novel table for cutting a large sheet of plastic at a job site.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for cutting a boiler tube-wall of a power generating station comprised of a plurality of generally parallel, vertical tubes welded together lengthwise, the method employing a guide having a pair of parallel guide rods interposed between a pair of securement devices for selectively, removably securing the guide to the tube-wall and a mount slidably mounted on the guide rods for movably supporting an actuatable tool for movement along the guide rods between the securement devices, the method comprising the steps of:(a) mounting a cutting tool to the mount;(b) removably securing the guide to a first location on one vertical surface of the tube-wall, the location being defined by a first line of cut to be made in the tube-wall;(c) actuating the cutting tool; and(d) moving the cutting tool along the guide rods between the securement devices and along the first cut line to cut through the tube-wall and any of the tubes therealong.

    Abstract: An apparatus for trimming electrical component leads depending from a circuit board includes a plurality of cutters mounted on and spaced along a cutter mounting member supported on a frame supporting a drive motor operatively connected to the cutters for rotating same to trim electrical component leads depending from a circuit board as same is moved along a path structure supported by the frame and above the cutters. The drive motor and cutters are arranged in a pattern so that lead trimming occurs in a minimum area, length, or distance along the path 1. The cutters are adjustable vertically so that the cutters trim the leads at a predetermined spacing from a lower surface of the circuit board.

    Abstract: In an electrically operable household appliance of the kind in which a detachable accessory, such as a vegetable cutter, is seated on the top of a base and includes a casing which contains working elements adapted to be coupled to the output shaft of an electric motor which is housed in the base and is controlled by a switch which is operable by a key situated in the top part of the base and is actuated by a push-button mounted on the accessory, the casing of the accessory is fixed to the base by at least one fastener comprising a hook which is articulated on the casing and has a hook portion arranged to come into engagement with the base, and the push-button is mounted on the hook.
